  2. While normally I'm not opposed to war, and have enjoyed quite a few long wars and series of wars with my dear friend @Prefonteen and a number of Arrgh Admirals. The toxicity pouring from one particular side makes it hard to enjoy. Mockery of dead people Declared intent to get nations to delete and alliances to disband (Including a request in peace terms to allow two members of the community to be rolled indefinitely) Praising nation deletions Making children eat animal food Just not an environment that is particularly fun. For two months I was literally able to do nothing except buy credits( which I didn't because I wouldn't have been able to use them anyways, it would have just been a waste) and log in. The only actions I was able to take. I tried to obtain peace from day one and and was denied along with my allies every attempt. At least I can log in and launch an attack now.

  3. The resolve and commitment of my alliance mates reminding me why I joined the Syndicate to begin with. Extend that out and I'm just pretty damn well impressed by our allies and friends throughout the war as well. And to think we didn't even have to threaten them to keep them committed to the fight too!

  4. I'm no good with forum posts as this is my first so I'll just be simple, The Regiment has accepted the peace offer of a 240 days NAP with the obvious parties (Camelot, GOONS, NPO etc.). Thats all, carry on with your regularly scheduled shit posts. Have a good day.

  5. Hi, I'd like to suggest adding an option to select which cities you want the mass infrastructure to be applied instead of applying it to every city. Maybe something like in the picture below would be great. @Alex, also, just to put it out there, is there a reason why there is no mass land purchase?

  9. OP is looking for real talk? Being in this game for quite a bit as the biggest trash pile I can finally say that there is now solid competition for that title. I think a lot of people would agree that the game in general is dang boring, the community of the game is reminiscent of driving through New Jersey and saying 'wtf is that smell?!' - well thats just New Jersey. What takes the prize are the smaller communities around politics and war where you can get away from all the shittalk here and have some fun with some genuine people from all sides of the Orbis political spectrum. As a matter of fact, during the real fake award show last night I got to hear jazz talk and tbh he made me laugh a lot - where I thought he was my main competitor for 'biggest trash pile' I was wrong. Genuinely enjoyed the dude. The best part about hopping around to different communities is Aero's nips and actually being able to connect with people outside of PW, RL shit is what brings the whole thing together. I'm in IRONFRONT and we build a community - not just a membership to Politics & War - hanging out with those guys and gals that we have from young to old is what keeps me logging in on the daily. We bump heads, argue, and laugh with each other just like fam do and thats where I find my love....not for the game, but for my peoples. War? Shit. I started in COL B and found myself on COL A or D or whatever the dang hell y'all are calling it and to be honest what is the difference? You got big heads on both sides calling the shots, refusing to let go of pride ego and the idea that 'i'm right and you're wrong' - when its just a damn game. Pixels burn, people quit, people thrive - in the end, we are all gonna die wasting hours on this game. Luckily, I engage with pw shit at work and when I'm off its just chillin with my peeps on discord. Shoutout to Hannah, Pika, Kev, Charlie, Aero, Jordan, Tom, Rachael, Dynamic, Caanite - y'all the real G's. If I missed your name, it's prob because its 0320 and i don't feel like it.

  10. How are we trying to destroy your community? You kind of killed this point with the possum act and then people coming back. Everyone committed is a slack ping away. I get you want to be on top and all, but yeah. It's not really our role to facilitate that. "our community will die unless akuryo beiges us and we get to screw around to wiggle out of stuff."

Are RoH's no longer allowed on the forums? Where should alliances be posting official announcements if not in the alliance affairs section of the forums? Will the OWF mods stop removing quality content for no reason?

  14. The current state of the game is definitely an interesting topic to discuss and I am glad a thread was made where it can civilly be done without going seriously off-topic from the OP or It getting to hostile for my taste. Anyway, for the most part the state of the game is in a weird spot. Not just because of all the global wars, but people just not really being able to feel like they can speak freely anymore. There is a lot of feeling even within the coalitions that if they speak out they are gonna be ridiculed or shut down. Or even for those people who wanna leave and explore the world there's the fear of either perma-roll or denial based on previous relationships held. This is a feeling from BOTH sides. I've seen it, I've talked to people about it and gotten these exact feelings from them. When I came back to the game late October I had no idea what was going on. Even then, until I really became Head of FA for Polaris again is really when I actually was able to draw my own conclusion on things. Are there things I dont agree with how they went? Yes. Are there things that I agree with from my side. For sure. And I have no problem saying both of those things. I was not a quiet one when I was brought into servers. Wasn't my job to be quiet. I didn't have that fear of being unable to speak openly, though sometimes Im sure there are times where some would like me to be quiet :P. The relationships I have come to have in this short amount of time are fantastic, and they are on both sides of this war. I cant count the amount of times people have told me that they dont know why I am on the side Im on. Not being here for the beginning of the war myself, I can't tell you how things would have panned out. But I am not upset or sad nor do I regret doing the things that I have done on the side im on. I am happy. These people I fought alongside aren't angels.. but they're not demons either. I think some things have gone to far to be repaired though, in some cases atleast. And it is truly sad that this is the case. But, don't look to things to make them worse. I'd like to push for 2020 to be a year where despite anything that has already happened we can kinda all start over abit. Push forward in a new year to try and be better than we were in 2019. Maybe people like Sphinx can try to leak alittle less(Kappa) or someone like me can be alittle more Vocal in what I want rather than just arguing the points when presented to me. All in all, we all started playing this game for a reason, no matter what that reason maybe, don't forget it. After all, this is still just a game. At the end of the day, if you really didnt want to play it you wouldn't, so the fact that everything that is going on is going on and you're still here, means that deep down you are willing to see what happens after all of this settles. And I look forward to that day aswell :). I apologize for this post, I'm sure someone started reading this and got halfway through it and stopped after saying "what the frick is he on about". Truth is its 2:40AM my time and I am tired but I wanted to use this post as a way to say, thank you for playing this game, and even if it very fricked up right now. It wont always be this way and I look forward to seeing how everything turns out to look during eventual peace time :).

  15. I don't know much about the political dealings of this world, but I do know one thing, and that is this: When any world is visited by the cancer that is the New Pacific Order, they arrive with one singular goal in mind: To be the sole dominant force in the world, at any cost, at any effort. Reps are for one reason only, in furtherance of that goal. Once they achieve an irrevocable dominance, it spells the end of that realm, much like the old world I've arrived from, which is now nothing but a dead husk thanks to the efforts of the very same individual NPO leaders. NPO will spin their demands however they see fit, but do not ever forget their singular goal, which is nothing less than the total and irreversible subjugation of the entire world. They've done it multiple times before, and it would be foolish to expect that they're here for any different purpose.

  16. I'm in a good mood today so I'll acknowledge your cry for attention. Schrutesphere and Memesphere came to a mutual understanding and negotiated a mutually agreeable peace. This happened because both sides had something to offer the other that they wanted. Schrutesphere had a large number of members who could cause trouble for Memesphere and prevent us from keeping Coalition A firmly underfoot, and Memesphere had a a well oiled war machine with 7 months of constant fighting experience that could severely damage Schrutesphere beyond what they were willing to sacrifice for "friends" that lied to their faces while denigrating them in private. Coalition A on the other hand wants to obtain a peace that enables them to consolidate their new additions and start farming high infra builds again. And the reciprocal benefit they offer to the power that has utterly defeated them is absolutely nothing without reps. Coalition B largely run resource based mid-low infra builds that aren't nearly as affected by wartime. Coalition A wants us to sacrifice our comparative advantage over them following a war we dominated them in. To get that something needs to be offered to balance the scales and bring forth a mutual understanding. That thing is reps to both make us whole for beating you in your own aggressive war and to offset the comparative economic advantage your side would gain from peace. Leave all the false moralizing at the door and consider, if I ask you to do something that only benefits me when you have leverage over me, why would you ever do it?

  18. Well I'm just glad that my baby from 2015 is getting attention and I can make my first shitpost in years. What better way to spend a Friday night than looking at logs. To be clear, I don't really give a shit about this game and you all know I have no love or super hatred towards BK so hopefully this post is fairly conclusive. I still run BK's forums and BKNet was 90% created by myself. The entire banking aspect as created by myself but I have not maintained the application since early 2017. Tiber and George have maintained and added to the application since. I can say with fairly certain confidence that George did in fact abuse BKNet to remove members from BK and had the help of an accomplice. Of course the database password for BKNet is stored in an environment file and George had access to that password. The password was not changed after George left BK. There are only three people that I am aware of that have had access to and that is myself, Tiber, and George. This is how George obtained the database password. BKNet does have the ability to remove members from the alliance. Through an Internal Affairs module that managed the upgrade training of the applicants, George and his accomplice removed members from the alliance. George used phpMyAdmin (which, why the hell did I not remove that program?) to delete the logs that track these kinds of things. It is clear that while George's accomplice removed the members from the alliance, George cleaned up the logs in the database. Fortunately, Apache keeps logs of every request and yes, I really did look through them. You can clearly see the GET and POST requests to the specific endpoints in the Internal Affairs module of BKNet by his accomplice to remove the members and the specific endpoints of phpMyAdmin utilized by George to modify the database. Why do I know this is George? Well, this is why I said "fairly certain confidence." The IP address involved in this attack matches the same location of all the IP address that George used to login to the BK forums. Additionally, the only way for someone to have access to the BKNet database is to have had access to the environment file, which out of myself, Tiber, and George, the only one with a motive here is George. As for his accomplice, all I know is he is from France and uses the OnePlus A6013. So while I can't say for certain that George conducted this "attack," I would say it is fairly clear that he was involved. Additionally, everything that BKNet does requires some sort of user input to initiate the action. If this was a script that went "rogue," then the script would've been initiated with an internal IP and it is clear that it was not. BKNet was not compromised; it did exactly what it was told. This was a failure of basic security and BK has learned the lesson the hard way.

  19. When you get nuked it puts that overlay on top of your flag. I think it looks bad and I was never happy having it, in fact as someone who always has low infra, getting that overlay is the greatest damage the nuke even does to me, thus I vote for it to be removed. Not important obviously, just a cosmetic preference of mine, though cosmetics is really all that overlay is since there is no importance behind the fact you got nuked recently.

  23. I don't know if GOONS very much cares, in all honesty, I've never figured that was part of their mentality. They're here to grief on an individual level, they don't have grand ambition. The second they lose a war badly, they're going to all scurry back home to SA. Off-world history proves that as well. It even happened more than once! I don't have any long-term concerns about GOONS, and neither should anyone else. They're a willing and aware tool, and I can't fault them on that really, they know what they're in for full and well. NPO is happy to have a tool, and GOONS are happy to be the tool. It's natural for them to be together.

  25. The benefit is living in a world where wars aren't long tedious grinding affairs and where you shake hands at the end of a war rather than trying to extort people. Unfortunately it seems that it's impossible for NPO to care about anything but its own power. No concern for fair play or honor or the health of the overall community we are a part of.

  26. I took a 5-6 month break because the war was boring, but I've been fighting again since New Year's Eve. I'm happy j did, because I find the style of warfare very kicked back and relaxed. I'm doing damage efficiently with minimal actual playtime. Outside of the mechanics, I've enjoyed watching all the drama lately. I'm a drama hog and I just love to be a witness to a good trainwreck (even in real life)! I also agree with the OP on being in a good group of people. I love KT and the people in it. I can't imagine myself in any other alliance.

  29. For real, GOONS has done really good this war. By and large, they know what they're doing and have had a solid performance. Individual members may make mistakes, but that doesn't override their net damages nor does it invalidate all the solid moves their members have made against me this war.

  30. We did what's right went through all this - for allies and friends, When TI got pre-emptied, it was Pantheon standing up activating it's M-level treaty and defending The Immortals, however circumstances seems to show this whole show was orchestrated by nasty greedy people who thought using alliances like a shield for repairing it's own side and bailing themselves out of this war and remaining a top absolute power is a good idea and will work just great this is a true failure. I only feel bad for all this people being used as numbers, not given respect and only were being thought as a distraction as TCW itself mentioned. But it all comes down to doing what's right one more time, and that is white peace and a NAP of 9 months with OD Sphere. Hail Pantheon ~SixSadistic66

  31. Another way to get basically the same thing would be a single checkbox to indicate that any cities above the specified infra level should stay as they are rather than sell infra down to the specified level. In other words, mass infra purchase becomes a "greater than or equal to" function instead of an "equal to" function.

  35. It's pretty entertaining to see you spout that we are selfish, when you refuse to relinquish your hordes of cash for peace and instead let your communities delete away. There is a reason you are economically in a better position in peace time to us, and that is because 1. Your longevity has put you in a position to have more cities and thus a better commerce base to rebuild/stock cash etc and 2. Because you constantly rolled everyone that was ever a threat to you in quick wars which meant you never really took much damage while the defeated alliances took twice as long to be able to rebuild and that is if you didnt hit them while rebuilding. You always made sure opposing alliances could never surpass you in political and economical power. Now the script is flipped and we are going to push to level the playing field. If you want peace then you have to accept your rebuild will be compromised. You wont be able to rebuild and restock as quickly as you are used to.

  36. Until you can see that there's more to the world than just dominating it statistically you're never going to get it. At this point this will end when enough more of your allies, those that actually care about having fun and the health of the broader community, realize how selfish and toxic you are and abandon you. It's funny that you think a war where we "lost horribly" can also be some kind of "favorable outcome". The idea that you somehow can't compete in peace time is an admission of your own political and economic incompetence. Incompetence doesn't give you the right to extort people.

  40. You must have missed the part where I said leave the false moralizing at the door. No amount of pontification is going to make us hand you a favorable outcome on a silver platter after you lost horribly. Until Coalition A grasps that concept the war will continue.
    2 points
  41. You really think after 7 months of continuous, destructive war (that is hurting the game regardless of what anyone says) that Coal A would take the opportunity just to buy back our military so we can strike you guys again shortly down the road? Are you truly so paranoid of our ranks that you don't think we are capable of honoring a real, honest agreement and instead need damaging terms placed on us just to ensure your safety? Look, I get that from your perspective, you feel like Coal A is portraying Coal B as the bad guy in this game that needs to be eliminated. While I'll admit that the toxicity has shaped that opinion to a degree, it's you guys that have, and continue to do this to yourself. You guys have dragged out a pointless war for for months on end without even attempting to engage in any real, sincere peace talks. This in spite of the fact that your side claimed repeatedly that we could have peace at any time so long as we agreed to your non-negotiable surrender (which we did MONTHS ago I might add.) And when said peace talks occur, they move at the slowest of paces while offering ridiculous demands that you know full well will be hard, if not impossible to meet. Also consider the fact that various leaks have shown some on your side have pushed for the continuation of the war to push Coal A into disbanding/Deleting. And the cherry on top, you turn on any ally that would DARE leave the war on your side before a full peace has established viewing them as 'weak' when in actuality they are probably just simple human beings who, like everyone else, gets tired of things after a while... Is it any wonder why a great portion of the game is at war with you right now? Coal A hasn't had to do anything to give you guys the public image and reputation Coal B has obtained. You guys have earned all of this by yourself with your actions in this war because of not just how you treated your enemy, but allies as well. Yeah, you guys might be 'winning' this war right now, but your victory could very well come at the cost of everything post war. Crippling war reps on your enemy and fear-bashing your allies into submission isn't going to earn you a long-term victory when the entire game with all their differences can find common ground to view you as the enemy. I recall you guys wanted to strike Coal A to change the reputation Coal B had prior to the war starting, and you've successfully done that. How so depends on your perspective, but the current state of affairs seems to paint an obvious picture... Even more so if your paranoia leads you to believe that we need to be crippled just so you'll be safe. I get that not everyone in Coal B is bad and some want this war to end. I've seen some respectable posts from some in your ranks that show there are good people that don't deserve what they are going through just for their extremists leaders. I honestly feel sorry for those in Camelot, Arcadia, and any of the others alliances that have to fight against the entire game (or a good portion of it) because of the decisions the leaders of NPO, BK, and GOONS have made. We've all suffered in this war and contrary to popular belief, the war is hurting the game. I'm not neccesarily advocating for peace, nor am I on the train of a permanent war of attrition that sees one side totally destroyed. It's clear that some on both sides are viewing the extremes though, and it needs to stop. We need to get back to seeing each other as what we are, human beings with different point of views and respect those views. In the end, this is just a game... Is the toxicity and inevitable mutual destruction this is leading to really worth it in the end? You have to be the one to decide that...

  43. Unless your community is based on getting your way all the time - by winning wars, by seeing your preferred rules for diplomacy and warfare implemented, or in other ways - then there's no way any outsider can destroy your community. No one is entitled to see any particular style of game play adopted game-wide. The "health of game in general" isn't defined or dictated by you. Although if you disagree, Changeup, I suppose you're right. We probably don't give a damn about your enjoyment if it's predicated on any of that stuff. To answer the OP's question, I'm enjoying the drama the camaraderie in NPO and Coalition B as a whole watching whale pixels burn demolishing some of the worst parts of the old metagame, and possibly laying the groundwork for something better to replace them

  44. I've found it really enjoyable to be part of an excellent group of individuals who are well-coordinated and are just all-round cool. It's been quite an experience coordinating with alliance and other non-IQ players to meet the goals set by our leaders, and it's cool to think that we are shaping the future of Orbis with our current actions (and for the better).

  45. I find this war quite enjoyable, working alongside the best minds in Orbis has been surreal.

  46. War is always fun. In victory and defeat. I appreciate it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it is half the name of the game. My guess is that the politics of your higher gov and their coalition leaders could end the war at any point but they choose not to pay reps. I'd urge you to petition your gov to do the right thing if you are struggling to keep your community together. There is no shame in that.

  47. Having now read the information, I can give a more considered response, rather than...you know, someone who just got pissed that all his alliances allies peaced out without letting us know first. I can understand why you did it. The contents of those leaked logs were disgusting, and reveal the rather unpleasant opinion of some of our current allies towards this whole sphere, which has taken billions in damage in order to support them. The post from Akuryo is indefenceable, the rest simply unpleasant. As it is however I won't be calling for TI to remove itself from the war. I see the threat to the game from an IQ victory of too great a cost to recommend such an exit, but understand why Pantheon, Schrute, DH, Horsemen and WTF believed differently. I don't begrudge you your peace and I thank you for standing with TI for the time you did.

  48. All this post says is he used 3rd party software to access my account. Still a violation of game rules.
