  1. Please stop. This isn't politics, this is you talking about every single little thing people are doing. And quite literally 95% of forum users want you to stop doing this. I do not know why you are doing this, how long you will be doing this, but there is a not insignificant group of people who want you to stop quite badly. Edit: Seemingly Hime-same agrees with me, oh the irony.

  2. People did put in the effort to answer earnestly and all he's done is go on full steam ahead with his same questions that have already been answered to him 100 different ways and made 50 threads about it all. So now we've reached the point where everyone is done entertaining him and this is the result. It was likely hidden, not deleted, and it was likely done so because it didn't belong in Orbis Central, not because of "popularity". If you want to open posts relating only to your nation's wars, that belongs in National Affairs, as was pointed out to you earlier.

  7. Tech usually gets cheaper the more it's in production (Apple phones don't count), so what if Projects got cheaper, the more nations that buy them (even if they destroy it afterwards). I'm thinking like 120% of current prices initially, but once 500 nations have bought it, it's 110%, 1000 it's 100%, 2000 nations it's 90%, 3000 nations it's 80% and then it gets capped there. It'd help become a money sink for those rich bast nations with too much money on hand, then over time become more affordable for the rest of us plebs.

  8. TCM is dropping it's Protectorate on Taith due to the following reasons: - Taith had plans to backstab TCM while asking them to help them in their war - Taith has stolen a total of 1.75 billion dollars from various alliances

  9. The truth doesn't matter much once the nukes start flying, all that ultimately matters is that treaties are honored and who is left standing in the end. Eventually the war will be over, loyalties will reshuffle, rebuilding begins again, and the cycle repeats. It's just the nature of this game. My meaningless advice (because I'm a nobody here and that is how I like it) is to find yourself a good leader, learn from him and back him up through thick and thin. If he betrays your trust, never let him live it down. And don't worry so much, you'll give yourself a stroke. This is just a game, and it's all just pixels.

  18. Our Beloved Ripper has escaped and left me with all his work strayed out of thought and time. As a result of a fair and balanced mutiny, I have found myself in the captain's chair. This new era of Dread Pirating will hopefully be looked upon favorably by the wiki mods in the future. I also wanted to say a few words to the wider community just while I'm making an Arrgh Announcement: Arrgh Game Night/Day(s) - Arrgh has been on/off hosting regular game nights featuring Poker (betting PnW money!), Secret Hitler, Among Us, Cards Against Humanity, World of Warcraft, Sea of Thieves, and many others as time has gone by. If this is something you'd be interested in, feel free to stop on by our discord server for some fun. Mercenary Contract Offerings - Our business is killing noobies, and business is booming. If you have someone you want to see hit, swing by the Arrgh server and open a Parley ticket with us. Don't waste your money on a bounty that might one day get taken when you can pay a pirate for immediate results. Pirate Insurance - Is Arrgh bullying you too hard? Fear not, we may be pirates but we are also businessmen. Drop by and open a Parley ticket and witness our merciful/greedy nature. A Renewed Commitment to Paperless Politics - Arrgh has long sat isolated from the world, looking to mind our own business while raiding your pockets. It has become very apparent that the world needs Arrgh as much as Arrgh needs your loot. The complex and obfuscated web of writen, implied, and secret treaties and agreements has grown far out of control. Arrgh is here to renew our commitment to helping people shred their paper and break their chains. Our embassies are open for all those who may need a little extra assistance getting out of their entanglements, with the caveat being they also commit to removing as much paper as possible from the game. Thank you for your time, I hope to see you all out on the high seas! Arrgh! pictured: Ripper handing off the Grand Admiral role to me.

  19. There's a blog function on these forums, I suggest using that instead of posting 30 threads in Orbis Central.

  21. At this point it's just a demonstration of the futile nature of forums controlled by the masses. The Tragedy of the commons. The failure of democracy and a tyranny of mob rule where fools & thieves are pushed to the forefront of our discourse & entertainment. "You get what you deserve" For my part I'm putting fuel on the fire while saying my own fuel doesn't stink (what curse words are allowed on the forums?), but I am doing so knowing that it's just for my own amusement. I hope no one is trapped in the loop of wanting a better experience here while also contributing to the low brow & toxic nature of the forums by feeding the very type of behavior they describe to be negative. Stay self aware people.

  23. Thanks DJ. And it's not just the players. Even the moderation team seems to be swayed by how popular a player is. I just got a thread deleted- ostensibly because it wasn't political. How is the discussion of wars I'm in with Quack not political? Meanwhile, a thread is here talking about what drinks players prefer. I mean, sure, it's technically about players, so could run with that, but perhaps the reason that that one stands while mine is gone is simply because my post wasn't popular. I appealed the decision, but I have a feeling my appeal won't get anywhere. This is truly sad in my view. It makes it so that unpopular views, like, say, trying to end the war, are silenced.

  24. Two things you should know. One, Orbis Central is for discussions about in game politics, anime pictures does not count as in game politics. Two, Hime is a guy.

  32. I most definitely have no doubts about the veracity of the proven (very early stage) plans for an offensive coalition. Stop pretending I do. And no. The idea that my cb somehow magically caused an inadvertent false admission by ronny is probably one of the dumbest theories I've seen you use to satisfy your Tyrion boner.

  34. Say what you will about me, but I definitely don't agree that no one in any sort of meaningful positions wants the truth to be known here. It's one of the reasons that so many people were calling for logs in the past. I may have said most of what I want to say regarding the initiation of the war. Seeing as I may not get any more of the answers that I'm seeking anytime soon, I'm thinking that perhaps tomorrow, I'll draw up my current conclusions on things and perhaps leave it at that, we'll see.

  35. My goal was and is to get to the point where we can all agree to the truth on various things regarding the war, such as the truth behind Boyce' claims and what this anonymous HM leader meant. However, I acknowledge that the sources may not want to testify any time soon, if ever.

  37. Y'know, one thing I've found is that when you're expected to bite your tongue... something is very wrong. Possibly with your understanding of the situation, but more than likely there's something wrong with the reasoning of the ones telling you to stay silent. Either way, further silence wins nothing. If you have a problem with your leaders... then at least, at least talk it out with them in private. If at the end of that you still don't like it, consider letting them know that you're planning on quitting at some point in the future, after your debts and obligations are settled. If they threaten you at that point... then frick right off, because NOBODY, in ANY sphere, including if not especially my own, should have the right to threaten their members into submission. That right there is the reddest of flags in my experience, and there's nothing at all that can justify that sort of behavior imo.

  41. absolutely ludicrous that the line is somehow that Quack is the big bad despite being the only ones not to be making "big bad" moves. has made significant FA moves to grow its sphere since the NAP began: Hedge: yes Swamp: yes Quack: no has participated in a curb stomp against a smaller sphere with absolutely no risk of defeat: Swamp: yes Hedge: yes (2x) Quack: no just admit that this is politically expedient and you all want a war and drop this facade of "checks and balances" against some hegemonic sphere
