  1. Checks their VM lists Yea... Gonna say that they are not having fun.

  2. To give a serious answer, there is some frustration from members that do not have a chance to get a slot or as many slots as they would want to have. This, combined with the hard task of getting so many alliances from the attacking coalition to collaborate with each other, also causes stress on the leadership and even tension between some alliances. However, I do believe that each and every alliance had its time to shine and has had a fair amount of fun. Adding to this the fact that: a. some alliances get to see victory in a global war after years and b. some new alliances/tiers are getting at long last a loss you can see that there are many other reasons for people to (if not have fun) be happy. From a pirate's point of view, war is always fun, no matter what, even if there is minimum action. It's by default more fun than signing everyone in your tier and having no (hard) wars to face for months or years.

  4. Snapshots of History - PnW Edition This following photo is one of the few which depicts the first meeting between the "Big Three", the coalition leaders who came together in the fight to free the whale tier from the grips of EMC. Shortly after it was taken, hundreds of nations embarked on a massive blitz into TKR's vaunted "Fortress Upper Tier" to establish the first beachheads of the war.

  5. Fun to me is seeing you on your knees, under my jackboot if I was able to wear jackboots, begging for the benevolent mercy of the roqswarm. I am but a vessel of the greater good. An enforcer of the hivemind hegemony. You are in the way. You will Perish. And it will give me pleasure.

  6. I know GOB is new to this whole war thing, but the losing side typically has more fun. Well, as much fun as can be had in sheepy’s horrible design. There’s more slots, more to do, plenty of small targets to jump on once your been knocked down. I think I saw memph with 29 cities declaring on someone around 10. Had you spent time playing the game rather than hiding from it and hiding behind other alliances, you would have learned this long ago.

  7. Summary of Nov. 7th and 8th Updates Added leaderboard page. The nations tab can be filtered by various ranges of cities to only show the relevant nations. (Will eventually add other categories such as nukes taken, defensive wars, offensive wars, etc.) Similar leaderboard statistics have been added to individual alliance pages under the "Leaderboard" heading there. Fixed an issue with totaling damages when one side has yet to retaliate. Fixed incomplete page output on first day of war involvement. Forced time graph tooltips to match game timezone. Fixed.

  8. The most fun I've had this war is reading your salty hard tries to claim you're some superior being lmao.

  9. Probably plenty of fun to go around on both sides. For us, the first time we've had the challenge of finding creative ways to fight back against the swarm of adversaries, and for them the thrill of having their first decisive victory. I don't think you can measure fun in any reliable way, so ultimately it's what each party makes of it!

  11. Public is more accountable than private. I would not trust a private poll. And I'd also prefer it all on the forum, the radio show could be an extra perhaps, even before the public reveal/thread, but just not exclusively the radio.

  12. Not a good idea. Make it public. And the vote wasn't rigged, people just didnt like who won.

  18. Exactly, Rose loves me for it. Basically, what we have done in the past as we make a list of all eligible nation IDs that can vote. They then go to a website where they put a code in their nation's description. The script runs a verification check to make sure that the unique code is in the description. If the check passes, they are then presented with a ballot where they can vote. After submission, they are removed from the list so they cannot vote twice. Is that clear?

  22. I know you don't think so well in your advanced age, thus having trouble with this whole tactics thing. By all means though, I'm not too far down below your range https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=3767 You can sell off a little navy and come hit me. I've been pretty built up for a few days.

  23. Yeah, this is my sentiment. I don't think this nation map is going to ruin anyone's life or scar any children.

  24. That's political stagnation for yah. Nobody wants to plant knives in backs or pull any whacky maneuvers out of left field. Half the game is politics to anybody not deep into FA it looks pretty stagnate as hell. I mean, how many people are expecting a round... what is it,4? 5? Between IQ and syndi after this. We really should just erase all treaties and start from scratch with spin-the-treaty-wheel.

  31. Nah. It's been boring because we can't grow and there aren't enough slots. But who cares tbqh, I'm back to raiding so idgaf. There's like no need for my assistance now since it's such an overwhelming dogpile.

  36. My 2 cents. SRD has different goals and is unapologetic about pursuing them. The rest of Orbis has somehow decided that their idea for what is best for the game is some universal truth when really that's never come close to being the case. If they are having fun doing what they are doing why stop them? There is a lot of contradiction and hypocrisy in these attacks. They are irrelevant, yet the target of so much anger and effort. They are going to grow themselves out of range, but they are getting hit right now, and if they do grow out of range, who cares? They actually become irrelevant. They're flexing about their stats this war, literally every fricking alliance ever does that regardless of whether its a rolling or a fair fight.

  38. GOB will never dominate anything. People have inflated levels of concern about them. GOB will eventually grow so far out of range, noone will be able to hit them and they won't be able to hit anyone. Then we can just block them on the forums and they can post announcements about how they reached 48 average cities that noone can see because we blocked them.
    2 points
  39. Yeah that's fair enough. I just think if upper tier alliances want to dominate the upper tier via fighting others, that's different since it involves setting yourself back. With GPA, they also wanted to grow forever, but because they weren't politically connected and didn't really fight back, they fell apart. It was feasible for a smaller group rather than massive coalition to take them down. If an upper tier alliance exists because it's a tight knit group of people and they don't want or can't handle the overhead of having a lot of people, it's different than one where it's because they don't want to lose anymore and want to attract everyone of a certain size who doesn't want to risk a loss. At the end of the day, an upper tier alliance that is wiling to fight other upper tier alliances is good because it can stop them growing way above everyone else. It's just the trend of the past two years has been to avoid confrontation with similarly sized nations in the upper tier if it could end up setting your own growth back.

  40. Elite alliances who also act like Elitists are cancerous, in that respect I'd agree. Hoarding skill and not teaching new people to play the game is only slightly better than micros hoarding noobs and teaching them nothing and making them quit. That being said, noone is under an obligation to let anyone into their alliances they don't want to regardless of size, so I wouldn't classify that as selfish, just stupid, given its proven to be unsustainable for most alliances. That being said, GOBs entire marketing strategy is "Oh look at these filthy noob cretins, we don't let them in because they are expensive and because we sit up in the upper tier and do shit all and only fight when we have the advantage stacked in our favour, we left VE because we didn't want to pay for those noobs because we have no sense of loyalty to our alliance and just want to play farmville haha look at us and our average of 38 cities isn't our e-peen real big".
