  1. I am just stating facts bro. We will destroy UPN and Camelot. If their allies want smoke, they can get it too People forget that we're undefeated and are here to stay undefeated for another 5 years S/o @Matt2004 @Sphinx @RightHonorable @Tarroc @Azazel @Aero @King Arthur And if anyone else wants to get rolled back to page 5, they can sign any of the alliances associated with these habibis

  2. The limit of 5 true roles in an AA works/worked fine for a smaller group, but as many modern alliances are reaching 100+ members, some fine-tuning ability would be appreciated for different roles. The heir position's warnings about being able to promote are much appreciated - but having some sort of in-between role for bank access but not leadership access would be most helpful. This, of course, would simply be a stopgap until we are able to further customize roles with toggles for bank gov, etc, but would solve a lot of the pain points in the interim! Current roles: Leader, Heir, Officer, Member, Applicant Proposed: Leader, Heir, (Bank Officer), Officer, Member, Applicant

  3. You supported him until the NAP ended and now you’re scared to get rolled. gtfo lmaoo Like how do you respect this alliance? At least stand by the member who’s helped build you since day freaking 1. Under, I’m not sure what’s going on, and I know that you are extremely toxic/terrible. But you didn’t deserve this from UPN. UPN should’ve burned with you. It’s like if Rose kicked Abbas or Kurdanak, I’d leave with them.

  9. Peace talks ended over six months ago. The war had been going on for eight months prior to that. During all this time, I'm pretty sure I never heard a peep from a single other soul in UPN besides ST6, who was also pretty scuzzy in talks. Where were you all then? Why is this an issue only now? If it was an issue before, why has it taken so long to be addressed? You seem to be under this belief that the issues the community has with under are solely under's problem - they're not, they're yours too. Under was acting as a representative of your alliance. There were so many things you all could have done to address all of these issues months ago and to start interacting with the rest of the community again and yet it's only been radio silence. I don't know what went down and your alliance's business is your own in the end but how this looks is you throwing under out because you're afraid you might get smacked at NAP's end because of him. My thoughts on under himself are irrelevant to my thoughts on your handling of this situation; he was your person for six years and I'm not going to sugarcoat how poorly this reflects on you for unceremoniously dumping such a long standing member. They are two separate "complaints", as you say. Under was not your leader. If there was a transparency issue, it's your leader you should be looking at. At the end of the day, that's who's responsible for the direction of your alliance and the dissemination of information. (And honestly, you can't pretend you didn't know - the peace talks were plastered all over these forums.) Good luck with your new direction and in forging a new path. You'll need it.

  10. Yeah, I gotta say I never really thought the day would come that I agreed with Kastor but this ^ x1000. I don't know what happened here, UPN, but I find it pretty unbelievable you just kick banned someone who has been with you for over six years and single-handedly makes up 100% of your voice and external identity. If that itself was the issue, you put him there, you enabled him to do what he did and allowed him to be that representative for your alliance so if there are any consequences from that, you should have suffered them together.

  11. With the recent firestorm of beige under some form of control I'm shifting some focus towards content that was being discussed in the earlier part of this summer. Quality of Life Changes: Alliances have the ability to create up to 8 alliance positions, 5 more than the default 3. All alliance roles will come with a check list for which powers those positions have. Bank Access Changing Roles Ability to see spy counts Ability to see daily reset timers (time zones) Editing Tax Brackets Accept new members View member caches Notification when a war expires Alliance Trades offers also show in the global trades. These trades will show in a different color Alliance tax brackets can be changed in bulk (multiple members added at once) Alliance leaders (with appropriate access levels) can see the time zones for members. Ability to sort members/applicants by “Last online”. Move expired treaties to an “Archived” tab. Treaties can be extended rather than deleted and resent. Allow for alliances to issue embargoes for other alliances. The embargoes auto activate but give a notification to the member with the option to remove the embargo. Add a mass buy feature to Land, similar to Infra. Added Allow players to send direct trades of resource for resource New Domestic Policy: Rapid Expansion - 5% discount to land purchased - Added Additional Project Slots: At 50 wars won At 50 total won or lost, gain a project slot At 200 wars won At 200 wars total won or lost, gain a project slot At 100 wars total won and/or lost, gain a project slot. Raw Resource Project increase: Coal, Oil, Uranium, Bauxite, Iron, Lead production rates increased from .25 per turn to .30 per turn, giving a total increase of 3.0 per day to 3.6 per day. Production is increase by about 16.7% without factoring in the bonuses from multiple mines. Having max mines would net an additional 8.3% ish increase. New Project: Terra-forming Money: $3,000,000 Coal: 1,500 Lead: 1,500 Effect: Reduction in cost of purchasing land by 5% Note: Costs similar to CCE project New Project: Medical Breakthroughs Medical Research Center Money: $10,000,000 Food: 100,000 Effect: Hospitals disease reduction increased from 2.5% to 3.5% each. You can build an additional hospital in each city. Note: Costs similar to Recycling Initiative project. This project is more focused to tie into future changes. While it might not seem very relevant now it will have more importance in the future. New Project: Specialized Police Training National Policing Academy Money: $10,000,000 Food: 100,000 Effect: Police Stations crime reduction increased from 2.5% to 3.5% each. You can buy an additional police station in each city. Cost of each police station is increased from $750 to $1000. Note: Costs similar to Recycling Initiative project. This project is more focused to tie into future changes. While it might not seem very relevant now it will have more importance in the future. New Project: Advanced Engineering Center Requirements: Center for Civil Engineering, Terra-forming Money: $50,000,000 Gasoline: 10,000 Munitions: 10,000 Uranium: 1,000 Effect: Reduces Infra Costs and Land Costs by 5% All projects added. Spy Reserve System: Outlined in this thread: Currently on hold

  15. Honestly any even half decently run and developed micro could still afford these. The bigger issue at hand with them is they're not really worth it for micros who tend to have short shelf lives. 5% back on project costs is going to take an eternity to pay itself back.
    1 point
  16. Actually, if anything it would encourage large players to sponsor or form smaller alliances that much more effectively, enabling micros that somehow get these to become that much more viable. This would be better than universally giving all micros the same advantages, since that would mean the best micros with experienced or at least wealthy leadership would gain the most advantages and recruits. Unprepared and poorly funded micros really should be discouraged, and that's what this would do.

  17. This would highly disadvantage small, upcoming alliances and disproportionately benefit densely populated alliances. If the costs correlated with member count and/or score then I think it would be good, but I do not like the idea in its current form.

  18. Ya I can possible see it being scaled that way. Also one of the reasons i suggested these projects be built in nations rather in some kind of alliance interface is because that way new alliances can get the same bonus's as older alliances as long as they recruit the right players. At the same time is gives more for old players to do while they are also helping newer players though these projects.

  19. I can see both sides of this tbh. On the one hand, the timing of Under's departure does seem peculiar but on the other hand, it seems odd to suddenly sympathize with the bogey man now that he's out. Do ya guys want him gone or not? Anyway those are just my thoughts as a neutral 3rd party observer. It's kind of a shame though. I was hoping the next global wouldn't be quite so political or at least if it was that it could be unrelated to the last war. Seems like we're just continuing where we left off. Can't we all just be honest with ourselves and say we wanna roll UPN because it's fun and easy (as long as tcw bloc doesn't counter) because I'm totally down for rolling anybody

  20. I’d rather project and city timers be separate then the timer decreased. The base 0roject cost are fine as they are. I don’t think changing the infra per project is a good idea right now. Ideally nations should be forced to choose how to specialize their nation through projects . Right now it’s fairly easy for the top nations to get every project. Ideally this shouldn’t be the case. In the future if dozens of more projects get added then maybe. as for the project idea itself. The project name doesn’t really match the bonuses. Also I don’t think we should have a slowly increasing bonus like that. The more things that need to happen on a turn then the longer the turn time will take. As for the raw prod bonus I am against it. If we add projects that boost raw prod then it will harm new players as right now raw prod is the only thing new players can compete with old players. Likewise for the pollution reduction that seems abit much especially because we have a different project that reduces pollution. for a project named institution of technogy I would recommend a different buff. For example you can make it reduce project cost by 5% and then keep the nuclear bonus.

  22. Girl, just because people don't call you toxic to your face (although they should) doesn't mean that they don't call you toxic. Maybe wake up to reality. It's also not necessary to speak to you to know that you're a toxic wasteland. What do I care about what you come forward with or help with. There are plenty of people who help with this game who are not liked by a large amount of players. Congrats on giving away gifts but if you think that you bought yourself likeability with that, then jeeeeeeeez. 😂 I know your history well enough. It's plastered all over the OWF and people have been talking about it plenty enough. It's a well-known fact that you're a train wreck. But I'm glad to have hit such a sore spot considering how absolutely mad you are right now. ❤️

  23. Honestly, this. I mean in its past 3 wars, TKR eventually got rolled all three times. We're stronger because of it. Mostly everyone here has made mistakes, and–to some degree or another–mostly everyone has paid for them in some way. A large part of accepting responsibility for actions is also accepting the consequences. If you do get rolled and you bounce back even stronger, you'll earn respect and have new paths open up to your FA. And I'm unaware of anyone who would subject you to what we were subjected to last war. A few weeks and a decent bit of pixels destroyed. This is also why I think the original post rings so hollow. I understand that y'all claim the timing is simply unfortunate, but, given your history and position, y'all don't really deserve the benefit of the doubt. I'm not sure what you expected Orbis to think besides that this is a naked move to protect your hides, the SAME sort of behavior that got UPN in trouble in the first place. Pixel-hugging is antithetical to what I'd want to achieve if I were in your shoes. Now to be clear, this isn't an open endorsement to roll UPN, but I thought the context was important enough to add. The first steps towards taking responsibility are quitting with the pansy "shoulda-coulda-woulda" excuses, starting to acknowledge what you did wrong, and showing the rest of Orbis how you plan to fix it. You didn't accomplish any of that here. And maybe that gets you rolled, but you'll come out the other end with your community intact and a whole potential future to explore. I mean it wasn't that long ago that most of the world had issues with TKR and decided to hit us in KF. I like to think that we've learned a lot since, and I know we're in a much better spot from an FA perspective despite having made missteps. There are many other alliances that have similar stories. It is up to you guys to make it happen and turn over a new leaf. Until that point, you can damn expect that you'll be subjected to intense scrutiny. Fix it and be better. Maybe then we can talk. That's about the extent of the good faith I have to offer you guys. I was going to ignore this as I don't really care what you have to say about me. My reputation speaks for itself. I don't have the time of day to worry about someone getting salty about having his one-man AA denied protection. But insulting a leader of one of my protectorates goes too far. Having worked with him for months, I can say that all of us in TKR are proud to have Citrus and Oceania as a protectorate. He, along with the Oceania team, have done great work in a building a community, and that's everything I ask of them. I have no desire to get into the specifics of your troubled history or to see this exchange continued. Desist and bring your comments elsewhere. Say whatever you want about me, but don't f@#k around with my allies. I take that seriously, and I'm not as easygoing when it comes to protecting them.

  25. I'm not dismissing the rest of the post, just thinking about it. To address the quoted part, raiders typically don't have high infra numbers, this will allow players with that play style to earn some project slots.
    1 point
  26. I just woke up, @Prefontaine, so bear with. Just a random thought that jumped into my head....let's call it a 'Project Stack'. Instead of adding project slots due to wars won, have the game system 'stack' the associated planners in 1 slot, instead of 2 or 3. Examples: If a player buys all 3 satellite projects, the game could 'stack' the 3 Satellite Projects in 1 slot. The player will be 'rewarded' with 2 extra slots for having 'collected' all the satellite projects. Same-same with the Civil Engineering, Advanced Civil Engineering, and Terra-Forming Projects - all would be 'stacked' in 1 slot, opening 2 extra slots. Same-same for City Planner and Advanced City Planner - both 'stacked' in 1 slot, opens 1 extra slot. Selling a project that's part of a 'stack' of 3 or more projects, a player would need an extra slot or slots open for the remaining project(s) to 'unstack' into separate slots again, due to the loss of the 'stacking bonus' involving the extra project slot or slots. I don't see how wars won equate with project slots....seems that's kinda like a 'random' idea. Project slots equate with number of cities and infra, even though I have the 200 wars won. Good ideas from you an' the rest of the Orbis Think-Tank herd!

  33. Correction: You can wage guerilla-style warfare, but defending yourself or your members "from invasion", as your alliance page declares, is not an option without commanding superiority in both conventional strength and political position, neither of which you have access to. By all means feel free to go full renegade... but that's not remotely close to 'defending yourselves'. Really, it's the exact opposite. Be an independent polity if you like, that's fine. That is after all exactly what the big alliances do, but just like every other independent polity including $yndicate you can never expect to have any respect beyond what you loot from the defeated wreckage of your rivals. So, go wreck some, and maybe you'll have a point. But until you can prove me wrong at tankpoint, my argument stands.
    1 point
  34. First off, your color is green. Second, you're an unprotected micro. Third, you're cheeky enough to have a protectorate despite those two prior things. Even a single one of those things is a valid CB; all three together means that poachers are straight up doing your members a favor.

  40. Your arguments are being addressed, but I can't stand by any longer and watch you use whom so incorrectly. Whom is the object of a sentence (object of a verb or a preposition, most commonly used after a preposition). Who is the subject of a sentence. Ex. For whom are lying? Ex. Who are you lying for? The subject of a sentence is that noun that is "doing" the action. This can be determined by asking who or what is VERBing. Ex. NPO is cheating. WHO is cheating? NPO. NPO is the subject. The object of a sentence is the thing that the verb is being done to. So you can ask what is being VERBed. Ex. NPO is ruining the game. What is being ruined? The game (the object.) Who is ruining the game? NPO (the subject.) The object of a preposition is that which follows a preposition, for a full list of prepositions and a song to learn them, go here. Ex. NPO threw a temper tantrun along with their friend BK. WITH is the preposition, "their friend BK" is the object of the preposition. So we could substitute "their friend BK" here with a variant of whom such as: NPO threw a temper tantrum along with whomever sympathizes with cheaters. Carry on.

I am not good at goodbyes or letting things go, especially not a place that I ventured into everyday for nearly two years. I am sorry I left all of a sudden without much notice, didn't think I could have the strength to stop playing if I dragged it out. I can't thank PnW enough for cheering me up and the emotional support, I found this game and community when I felt all alone irl. We all like to shit on how the community is literally the worst thing ever and that PnW is a dementor that slowly sucks the happiness out of us, but Discord was always a nice safe space I can hide in and pretend like nothing is wrong in the real world. Yall gave me a beautiful Utopian fantasy for piggies. Despite that we can't dwell forever in our fantasy, on most school nights I slept 2-3 hours and Politics & War definitely did not help with my sleep schedule. I think its time for me to leave.
