  5. Once upon a time, a brave unknown artist by the name of Mystic Mac (now known as Kiloist II cause no one liked that gimmick), drew a really bad picture out of love for those once known as Ordo Paradoxia... They became known as La Mafia... While we were a match made in heaven, we have fallen out of love and they declared to us they wanted to move on, we wish them the best moving forward, it's okay, we've both learned and we'll move forward with a broken heart and provide to our next lover where we lacked with each other. However, the reminder was there, and it hurt. So we did what any rational ex would do... We had to dispose of the reminder.. Disclaimer: Someone totally jacked our idea for this, we did it the night before they posted their video we were just to drunk too post it.. P.S. For those who can't figure it out La Mafia and Bad Company are no more.

  6. Micros with little to no political sway or relevance have been making threads in Alliance Affairs for a long time. These micros tend to be quite powerless, and disband fairly quickly. It's annoying to see all their threads clog up Alliances Affairs. I don't think micros that are almost completely irrelevant should have their threads alongside the threads of powerful, relevant AAs such as The Syndicate, or Black Knights. Even a simple government change within the top 30 will have more impact on the game within a short period of time than what most micros accomplish their entire existence. Micro alliances should have their own subforum in Alliance Affairs. That way, the announcements of larger, more inpacting alliances can be easier to find and less clogged up with pointless threads. Micros can still make their announcements, of course, and even have the added benefit of not having to compete for attention over the announcements of larger alliances which overshadow them. As for what defines a micro, I think any alliance outside the top 45 is fairly reasonable. Maybe we can have a discussion on that. If Nation Affairs can have 3 subforums for... whatever reason, then I don't see why Alliance Affairs can't have a subforum to keep the irrelevant micro announcements from the announcements of fairly powerful alliances that'll still be around in 3 months. Counter arguments are welcome. Maybe I'm wrong about something. Maybe I'm not seeing a bigger picture. Let's have a discussion.

  11. Hey, Shifty is taking the time and putting in the effort to expose cheaters. So you call his efforts disgusting? Your attitude is what's disgusting. And the excessive defensiveness of your statement reflects very poorly on you and your denials. Now, sure, it's possible that you really do have a biological brother who's visiting you at home or transferred to your school or whatever. I've actually seen that happen in the past, when an ally of mine in another game had his cousin visiting him for a few months. (We knew that he was legit because he and his cousin would regularly voice chat with us, at the same time, from the same network. Pretty darn conclusive, unless he was a god of ventriloquism.) But from an outside perspective there is right now no perceptible difference between your innocent IRL circumstance that you're honestly telling the truth about versus someone making up a desperate set of lies and crocodile tears to cover for their attempt at cheating. So don't hate on Shifty for doing us all a great service, just explain your situation to the admin and provide proof like you just said you know that you're supposed to. And if you're familiar with the rules, as someone that has verified themselves in the past, then you should know perfectly well without doubt that if Shifty has suspicions about someone's network... he is to report it to the admin, not "take it to that person."

  12. Yes, that is very much true. And it would be unfair to everybody to consider the actions of applicants as if they were taken by accepted members of the alliance they've applied to; I'm right there with you. What I'm asking is, would that nation be defended as an applicant? According to prior shifty news, there have been shady applicants defended before. Now, it's possible that the defenders were just reacting to the situation that they saw and jumping on the excuse to raid, and indeed that would be both innocent and likely. Any alliance with the policy of protecting applicants operates that way, including mine and including yours; it's SOP as you say. I'm not accusing TKR nor any of the rings' targets of anything here, not directly nor by implication. It seems to me that they are the innocent target of an attempted shill job, and obviously TKR can't be blamed for that. All I'm doing with challenging Epi's and Mitsuru's claims is trying to bring their attention to the evidence that I have uncovered, so that they can realize the guy isn't just the innocent random noob as they thought, and react accordingly. I get that I've come off as hostile and putting them on the spot, but that really isn't my intent here.

  13. How is option 3 better? No, really. Explain it to me. Use some logical, rational thought and explain it. Removing beige is bad right, it makes the aggressor almost always the victor, since the attacker gets advantage in big wars. So, how, exactly, is option 3 better than that? All that's going to happen is that the defender in a war is going to be screwed if their opponent is even slightly competent. No hilarious missile beiges from Scarf while being rolled by TKR. The point of not removing it is to not screw over people on the losing side from coming back. You did this and that's what would happen. IQ's pullback in Ayyslamic Crusade would never have been what it was if you had this crap going. Frankly all of these suggestions sound absolutely worse than what currently exists. One is even named 'Frick raiders and micros" mate those people are fricked already why you lookin to go further. Honestly keep it as is and legalize the team beigeing, etc. Why? This is why. Just because you disapprove of something does rewrite causality to make it non factual Sorry friendo, but that is indeed tactical. Do you know what tactics even means or are? That's the definition of tactical. It's like having an army of swordsmen against an enemy entrenched on a hill with mostly archers. So you attack at night in the rain. Because the night makes it hard for them to see and the rain fricks with their bows and the arrows once fired. Is that what the night or rain was meant for? Of course not, they're just natural mechanics of our world, they become tactical when you take advantage of their advantage of their effects. That's literally textbook what tactics even is. Even better coming from an NPO member - beige isn't there for you stop just short of inflicting it and sit on the war til it ends. According to Sheepy's definition of it, that's slot-filling, you declared a war with NO INTENT to actually win it, instead, stopping short and sitting there. That's like if i stopped hitting Dragon right now, he's one naval IT away from beige, 0 ships, and i've been one shipping him. I imagine T$ is upset i took the slot already, can you imagine how many complaints Alex would get if i did that? Mechanics are always going to be abused, you can't prevent it. Institute any of these suggestions and i guarantee new cheesey, clever little uses of them - uses that weren't intended - will arise. Will they be illegal too, because it's an unintended consequence? Here's an ever better suggestion than changing the legality of slotfilling/team beigeing. @Alex Hire or find someone, find meaning a volunteer, who won't mind doing the moderating instead. Maybe multiple someones. Cause you're probably better off, financially, with volunteers, and that means players, which means lots and lots of bias. I'll volunteer right now, i have too much free time, and there aren't many people less biased than me. You see, i'm quite happy to see everybodys nations and alliance go down in chaotic hellfire just so i can watch with "He's a pirate" playing as i sip Captain Morgan mixed with coke. And if any such volunteers make a decision that comes into question, you can create a fancy system whereby the other moderators will take a look, i'd say pass it up to the admin but we're trying to avoid you in the system here. Add in other rules to them, like for example if you're in oh say, NPO as a mod and you're fighting Rose and KT again and some KT guys get accused of whatever the frick, you would have to let a different moderator or moderators not involved in said conflict review it. Simple stuff. If they abuse this power, you own the crap, pick from a wide array of decorative and terrifying hammers and swing. Because in the end at least we will moderators who actually want to do their job. A moderator who doesn't want to do their job is likely not to be very good at it either.

This is not a turnkey website where you all have to do is set it up and it's a huge attitude issue with the owners of these games where they feel entitled to easy passive income. If you don't want to moderate a game, either hire someone or sell it. The removing beige solution is awful as others have commented. 24. Reward those who log in daily for a year with an award, like, if you log in everyday you get an award for the last year/365 days. More active players = Better game exp. To clarify myself better.... A counter under the Orbis time could work, when you hit 365 days you get a award, 730 days you get a another awards etc.... Different awards ofc, could be like a bronze award for the first year, then silver for 2nd, gold for 3 years, Diamond for 4 and Platinum for 5 years /1825 days of activity. If you miss one day you'll have to restart the process from scratch. (1award per nation, so if you have bronze and silver with 730 day's, if you miss a day the counter goes to 0 and you'll need to login every day for the next 1095 days to get the gold.) In other words you can earn the award one time only, if you miis a day you'll have to spend more time to earn the next one. Also this does not effect the daily log in bonus, that stay's the same. You may ask why.... and i'll tell you: To give a another incentive to log in daily then just the log in bonus.

  26. "After reviewing the situation and the rules, specifically: War Slot & Espionage Filling Declaring war on a nation without the intention of fighting them is punishable by a nation strike and additional punishment for multiple violations. You are not allowed to declare war on nations to prevent them from being attacked by other nations. This same rule applies with spies and espionage operations. Knowingly participating in having your war or spy slots filled is also considered a violation of this rule. Moderation discretion must be applied when interpreting and enforcing this rule. An example of behavior violating the rules would be declaring war on a nation and sending attacks with minimal units, or using 'Fortify', to appear to be fighting a war, when in reality the attacker has no intention to fight and win the war. While I can't say certainly whether there was a master plan to collude and war slot fill to allow you to hit Wilhelm with impunity or not, based on the extremely convenient timing and outcome of the beigings the situation is basically indistinguishable from cheating (through war slot filling) from an outside perspective. Since the rule leaves the punishment entirely up to my judgement, I am not going to punish the two beiging nations who I am not confident knew they were a party to the large scheme here, and I am also not going to punish you (DragonK). However, I am going to remove your Beige protection time, as I believe that is the fairest way to "set the situation right" by removing your probably illicitly gained advantage in the war. I'm sure you'll be plenty upset about it, and I'm pretty sure the other guys are going to be plenty upset that that's all that I'm doing, and the best I resolution to the situation I can figure here is one where everyone feels screwed over (they say that's when you know you know you've got a good deal is when no one likes it)" For added context, this was the supposed reason. I'm told the pirates had reason to suspect spy op filling, but that's something which is nearly impossible to prove without Alex himself looking to see, so the world may never know. Oh well, t$ ain't feeling the greatest either way lol

  29. Church of Spaceology, in defence of two of its members, counters the two UPN government members currently attacking them, but won't escalate the conflict further. However: If we see that other UPN nations are mobilizing, we will recognize hostilites. If we see nations ghosting UPN, we will recognize hostilities with UPN and probably with the original alliance of the ghosts. If we see considerable mobilization from UPN's closest allies, we will recognize hostilites with UPN and may get in the sad position of pre-empting the rest. In case a war does break out, the alliance that will lose will have to leave the purple colour block. I hope UPN doesn't really want to change its name, so let's remain calm and let the current wars end in a most natural way. P.S. Thrax asked me to put something silly in between those lines, but nothing comes to mind. Sorry, Thrax.

This is a simple idea that will make internal alliance trade actually viable. All you'd really have to do is put a background overlay similar to the one for embargoes, but a different color like green, and perhaps "Alliance Trade" above the persons name. @Alex pls do

  31. I'm going to descend from on high to grace your existence with some actual knowledge. Based on your performance in this thread, eS did nothing for you except give you an inflated, undeserved sense of accomplishment. Having cities doesn't mean you're better than someone. Having more money or resources doesn't mean you're better than someone. Your behavior hearkens to my point about protectorates, if you coddle new and growing players or alliances to much, you are a prime example of what you're left with. You need to get punched in the mouth. I don't mean a personal attack here, I mean in game, your nation. Everyone has a plan until they're punched in the mouth. Reputation is what matters here. How you carry yourself is what matters. Kastor is known to be untrustworthy with bank access years after what he's done. I turned down an applicant based on his actions in the recent KT/TGH vs TKR sphere war. I'm regularly given shit for leaving the game in the manner I did. True power in these games is your ability to control the political tide. You can do that from on top of the sphere mountain, you can do that with a reputation built on over a decade in these sort of games, you can do that with the proper motivation and skill without needing to invest as much as some of the monolithic political figures in the game. You, Itachi, can do none of this. You come off as a petulant child. Some trust fund kid who had an easy up bringing and was coddled by his betters. Instead of using this advantageous position to actually become a better player, you developed a chip on your shoulder. A chip that isn't deserved. I checked if you were in gov in Syndicate, Itachi. If you were in a position of even remote authority, and Syndicate wanted to work with my alliance, your presence alone would cause me trepidation at such an idea. That's how poor you are in regards to political capital. Your presence in an alliance is a liability. You make your alliance weaker for being apart of it. If you were in a training alliance worth anything, you would know what actually matters in these games. Pixels can be burned, Itachi. Clinging to them makes you weak. Boasting about them makes you weaker. All you've done in arguing for eS's superiority is given the perfect example in their failures, and why the original criticisms towards the alliance are actually valid. You've proven the point you were trying to fight against by your own actions. Take this as an opportunity to learn the appropriate time to shut your fricking mouth. Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversations, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth.

Let's please end this, and return to a world in where Fraggle Rock can jump in, talk about random things, and leave. If war does break out, we in Fraggle Rock fully support Uncle Space. Also Daddy Critters doesn't like me coming up empty handed with food....so let's all just step back and let it go. We wish both sides will end this soon. Until then.... We'll be over here in the van where nobody took notice that three guys would stake out the neighborhood in a large white van all day. That never made sense. Not like Omar had an endless amount of vans. If they saw the van, they should of known he was plotting. Sure they burnt the van in season 2 but he got another, in the same color. He's known for white rusted out vans, newports, and carrying a shotgun on city streets. How does nobody see that coming. But Fraggle they did and would call out Omar coming. True but they should have known he was around long before that because he had a van....or that taxi. Who parks a taxi and sits in it for hours? You know what would have been better? 41. Actually, I'll humor this. The only alliances in the current Top 20 that's relevant are TKR, BK/NPO duo, KT, and possibly Syndicate and/or CoS. Given the moves they've made. If the alliance didn't make the list, they're either hanging on the coattails of other alliances or they simply don't do anything relevant at this moment. TKR - They've contributed to disbanding Nuke Bloc and shortly declared another war afterwards. They've got the largest core group of nations than any other alliance in the game at the moment, and as recently pointed out, have the largest group of high tier nations. Probably the most active community as well. KT - For the LONGEST time they've dealt with trolls taunting them to war, and when they finally did, they showed a lot of promise. Within a timespan of 4-5 months, they've managed to deal with dogpiles from NPO/BK and TKR/TCW/TRF. The fact they've managed to put up good numbers during that and still come out relatively ok (They rebuild pretty quickly) shows how much promise this alliance has. Participated in the longest conflict and fought against the two largest groups in a short timespan. Also part of a group of alliances that's not tied to the treaty web clusterfrick, so they could be considered a wildcard in the balance of major powers. BK/NPO - BK consolidated members and alliances into their growing hivemind. If they don't suffer a lot from attrition and maintain high organization throughout their alliance, they'll easily be the next powerhouse if they're not already (They'll get to #1 score soon). Recently started to raise their average city count, which was always a problem to deal with if you were on the opposing side. NPO initiated a war alongside with BK and raised their city count as well, but other than that... I put them together since they're pretty much besties and show good cohesion with one another. This treaty between them pretty much reshaped the game and continues to do so. Syndicate - Since the snek took command, he went out to repair what Syndicate had lost and made clear statements of Syndicate's position given the previous obliteration of treaty ties (While maintaining them as "hidden" ties). Him and his leadership core looks to be taking Syndicate back to it's roots with helping fledgling or demoralized alliances with their Protectorate care strategy that saw them successful early on. We also simply cannot ignore that Partisan is arguably one of the most influential members in the community. CoS - With the consolidation of DS into their ranks and Ripper as their lead (I still think Manthrax leads, but that's my own opinion), they have a lot of potential of making moves. It's just a matter of not making a frickup and whether the DS people are willing to deal with the boredom of their high tier status. CoS is still relatively low on my relevant scale, but I can say more about them than most other alliances not on this list.

  45. This is Shifty reporting the top story tonight, A story of pirates, a story of businessmen with too much cash and damaged pride, and of a game Admin. Following Wilhelm the Demented's acquisition of the tS bank, Arrgh mateys realized he had too much loot and not enough wars dec'd The legendary DragonK got his bounties purged and got beiged right before he mashed up Wilhelm and got close to victory Sadly, Bluebear made the ultimate sacrifice and lost his shot at loot glory to ensure his son DragonK won. Meanwhile Boyce, the great looter, managed to loot: Empire looted $548,301,582, 110 Coal, 3,374 Oil, 14,436 Uranium, 4,680 Iron, 7,632 Bauxite, 1,683 Lead, 214,690 Gasoline, 202,528 Munitions, 161,413 Steel, 66,806 Aluminum, and 596,488 Food. Verumque Amentia also lost 4.2% of the infrastructure in each of their cities. So doing what any alliance that just got teabagged would do, they complained and got DragonK's beige removed. And thus, Alex once again favors as a side and proves that pirates are not loved. Requote/repost if you agree: RIP Bluebear, Alex made your ultimate sacrifice go down in vain. We shall avenge you brudda.May you rest in Davy Jones' Locker.
