  1. This is Shifty reporting the top story tonight, A story of pirates, a story of businessmen with too much cash and damaged pride, and of a game Admin. Following Wilhelm the Demented's acquisition of the tS bank, Arrgh mateys realized he had too much loot and not enough wars dec'd The legendary DragonK got his bounties purged and got beiged right before he mashed up Wilhelm and got close to victory Sadly, Bluebear made the ultimate sacrifice and lost his shot at loot glory to ensure his son DragonK won. Meanwhile Boyce, the great looter, managed to loot: Empire looted $548,301,582, 110 Coal, 3,374 Oil, 14,436 Uranium, 4,680 Iron, 7,632 Bauxite, 1,683 Lead, 214,690 Gasoline, 202,528 Munitions, 161,413 Steel, 66,806 Aluminum, and 596,488 Food. Verumque Amentia also lost 4.2% of the infrastructure in each of their cities. So doing what any alliance that just got teabagged would do, they complained and got DragonK's beige removed. And thus, Alex once again favors as a side and proves that pirates are not loved. Requote/repost if you agree: RIP Bluebear, Alex made your ultimate sacrifice go down in vain. We shall avenge you brudda.May you rest in Davy Jones' Locker.

  2. No, he should not remove beige under any circumstances what-so-ever. Not ever. Don't even suggest it. Don't even THINK about it. Don't even think about thinking about maybe suggesting it. Don't even think about giving that thought even the slightest consideration of thinking it might be worth even the most passing discussion. Beige. Is. Vital. Without it, anyone that loses a war loses the game, full stop. There would be no coming back, not for anyone. Removing fortify was bad enough, but to remove beige entirely removes all possibility of warfare; there would only be immediate and permanent destruction of the losing sides. But if it HAS to be done, if sheepy is THAT committed to NOT DOING HIS ONE JOB, if it's SO important to just throw fundamental game mechanics to the wind, then remove beige loot along with beige protection. And remove beige infra damage along with beige protection. And at that point just remove war, there's no way for it to exist in sheepy's dream world of everyone-pays-him-for-nothing no-moderation wonderland. If it's possible for someone to lose something, then it'll be possible for them to !@#$ at admin about it. So nobody should ever be allowed to lose anything, lest they disturb Alex's inbox with complaints about it. Edit: Yeah, you really SHOULD get rid of war @Alex. Literally nobody would like it, which by your arguments here means it's the best thing possible.

  3. I'm not surprised but it's an outright insult to all the hard-working Americans(and other people) who spend their money on his game. This is not a turnkey website where you all have to do is set it up and it's a huge attitude issue with the owners of these games where they feel entitled to easy passive income. If you don't want to moderate a game, either hire someone or sell it. The removing beige solution is awful as others have commented. He'll get far more complaints if he seriously is considering implementing it.

  4. Sheepy should just make team beiging and slot filling legal in the same way that bank hiding currently is. Allow the playerbase to enforce the meta on whether tactics like that are "moral" in the same way people treat other things like planting "viceroys" or making "POW alliances", or honoring naps, or various other things. No moderation needed then, and people will just adjust to the meta like they always do. Otherwise its either moderation or changing the mechanics, and people should know by now that always ends badly.

  5. "After reviewing the situation and the rules, specifically: War Slot & Espionage Filling Declaring war on a nation without the intention of fighting them is punishable by a nation strike and additional punishment for multiple violations. You are not allowed to declare war on nations to prevent them from being attacked by other nations. This same rule applies with spies and espionage operations. Knowingly participating in having your war or spy slots filled is also considered a violation of this rule. Moderation discretion must be applied when interpreting and enforcing this rule. An example of behavior violating the rules would be declaring war on a nation and sending attacks with minimal units, or using 'Fortify', to appear to be fighting a war, when in reality the attacker has no intention to fight and win the war. While I can't say certainly whether there was a master plan to collude and war slot fill to allow you to hit Wilhelm with impunity or not, based on the extremely convenient timing and outcome of the beigings the situation is basically indistinguishable from cheating (through war slot filling) from an outside perspective. Since the rule leaves the punishment entirely up to my judgement, I am not going to punish the two beiging nations who I am not confident knew they were a party to the large scheme here, and I am also not going to punish you (DragonK). However, I am going to remove your Beige protection time, as I believe that is the fairest way to "set the situation right" by removing your probably illicitly gained advantage in the war. I'm sure you'll be plenty upset about it, and I'm pretty sure the other guys are going to be plenty upset that that's all that I'm doing, and the best I resolution to the situation I can figure here is one where everyone feels screwed over (they say that's when you know you know you've got a good deal is when no one likes it)" For added context, this was the supposed reason. I'm told the pirates had reason to suspect spy op filling, but that's something which is nearly impossible to prove without Alex himself looking to see, so the world may never know. Oh well, t$ ain't feeling the greatest either way lol

  6. Is anyone actually surprised that @Alexis a lazy sack of (expletive deleted)? I mean this is the admin who openly admitted to wanting his user base to suggest fixes that were easy because he wouldn't do the hard ones. You all donate to him, provide him money for him to not do his job. When he does do his job he does it poorly at best or needs to out-source it. Also, who hides a bank in a 20ish city nation with no navy? That's just bad business.

  8. Once upon a time, a brave unknown artist by the name of Mystic Mac (now known as Kiloist II cause no one liked that gimmick), drew a really bad picture out of love for those once known as Ordo Paradoxia... They became known as La Mafia... While we were a match made in heaven, we have fallen out of love and they declared to us they wanted to move on, we wish them the best moving forward, it's okay, we've both learned and we'll move forward with a broken heart and provide to our next lover where we lacked with each other. However, the reminder was there, and it hurt. So we did what any rational ex would do... We had to dispose of the reminder.. Disclaimer: Someone totally jacked our idea for this, we did it the night before they posted their video we were just to drunk too post it.. P.S. For those who can't figure it out La Mafia and Bad Company are no more.

  12. I can't search back to post it here cause I'm on phone and too lazy, but it's not the first time a t$ gov member got looted when holding the bank. Months and months ago Tim was also beiged by an arrgh member while holding a portion of the bank, so it's a bit funny that it happened again, but a different gov member having it happen this time. 14. Honestly option 2 kind of makes conventional raiding more attractive. It'd make it impossible to raid while under cheeky beige protection, like if you got ultra countered but you declared your next set of raids just before they triple beiged you so the new targets couldn't counter with their own dudes (which is a perfectly legitimate and fair strategy btw, assuming there's no collusion between the initial counters and the raider), but you WOULD be able to raid and expect to escape salty counters without being sentenced to perma-blockade (just perma-jumped-on after your beige is up, but that's life). Unless of course all 8 of your enemies chose to throw the war, in which case... well, missile 'em to the ground and laugh while playing keno with their money. On top of this, it would make slot-filling unnecessary and unviable too, which eliminates two major moderation problems with one simple fix. Less cheek, more honest piracy. Make P&W pirate again.

  16. In my experience, alliance trade offers aren't used very often. This could be just my alliance but I suspect it is true for most. One of the reasons is that it's on its own page. It's hard for it to reach a critical mass of people posting and accepting offers because people rarely look at it. My suggestion is to show your alliance's trade offers on the global trade offers page. It could be marked as an alliance offer. Even for alliances where the alliance market is used, this would make it more convenient.

  17. 1. Colors API, basic info about colors, like the current name, and the boost. This is pretty useful and makes sense 2. Wars API, like the nations API, but a giant list of all the wars, though it should probably be capped at the last 500 wars or smth. 3. Add date created to nations API, This should be on it because I feel it's part of the basic info of a nation, and also helps out a lot 4. Transactions API, you can go on a nations page and see their transactions anyways, so it would be nice if it was in API form, just a big list of all the recent transactions across all nations. I'm about to start a project that would really benefit from this, downloading every nation's bank transaction page and sifting through it will make me want to die xD 5. why not, a UID API, to look for alts during the low-load times a large list of every UID with all the nations under it, yes I know public networks, but I'm sure we can figure something out/ Don't think much else is needed, anything else that's more specific should just be web scraped tbh. I don't mind web scraping for colors API, but it just feels like it should be a thing. 1. is just a small utility that just makes sense 2. would be immensely helpful 3. simple enough would be a good alternative to sifting through every player page. 4. Maybe a little too OP? But the information is already public, and I would love to use it, would simplify managing IA and stuff alot 5. why not

  18. This suggestion is to remove the (10 day) timer to build a national project. I'm of the opinion at this point that it doesn't really add anything useful to the game. All it effectively does is slow down the growth of smaller nations, which isn't something that I think is necessary at this point. But, I'd like to gauge the community's thoughts. Feel free to react to this post (upvote/downvote) as an indicator of your feelings, and reply with your comments. Thanks!

  21. What if they made it so you lose your beige protection when you launch an offensive attack in another war? That way if a person was really screwed they could continue to turtle and not have more war declared and it still gives some leeway to inactives.

  35. Shoulda stayed in character, you say less stupid crap. Protectorates aren't what keep the game alive. That's rubbish to anybody with a clue how actual FA and political strategy works. There's an old saying, and it's true - TEst is the ultimate example of it; Everyone has an ODP with everyone. If protectorates ceased being a thing, all that would happen is that needless micros not worth actually fighting to protect would die. If somebody goes knocking on GodFury's door there, say it's Pantheon for example, all it takes is GF being friendly with big alliance who figures "yanno what, frick pantheon and their bullying.", and then it's either back down or a big war. Protectorates are literal cancer. ODPs and ODoAP's are also worthless trash. The latter should be removed, and replaced with a treaty that signifies what anyone signing them actually means. Call it a friendship treaty, cause that's all either of those means. Protectorates don't need to exist because everyone has an ODoAP with everyone. I'd prefer a world where wars ended in actual demands instead of white peace. I'm sure someone will get all spooked over the though of billions being demanded. But really, i'd want it just to force people to get rid of the actual paper protectorate trail. And, this ignores micros without big protectorates who still exist for months without being erased and annihilated. Just ask @Ukunaka for proof. It also further ignores that micros aren't the lifeblood of the game. Most nations aren't in alliances, period. Most of them are inactive, actually. Of the nations in alliances, most are in alliances that are not micros. At worst, they're minor powers, barely strong enough to take their own protectorates on. This list goes as far down as TUE at #33, who recently was passed by their now ex-protectorate Animation Domination - at least in score. Alot of people might still, and do think of TUE as a micro, and in some ways they are, when comparing to, say, BK. Compared to actual micros though, powers even lesser and more lacking, is when you realize that in all honesty, TUE is just a minor power, same with most of it's blocmates, actually. These alliances, these minor, to major, to great, to hegemonic (*cough* TKR *cough*) powers are what make the game. Most active players are in an alliance, and most of those are in alliances that are at worst, on terms of TUE. TUE is no powerhouse, but it sure as hell isn't United Socialist Nations at #50. So please, off yer high horse, mate. You aren't that important, or necessary, in just being a micro. Your existence is not detrimental, but nor is it particularly beneficial. That's what being a micro IS ABOUT - it's being irrelevant, neither good nor bad, just there, even if no one cares; and no one does. Because the majority of active people, who do, or try to do anything, aren't in micros. As for spheres, those aren't going anywhere. It's just with Syndisphere making a comeback these days it seems, IQ still kicking, and TKR with it's own little enclave, they need to remain as i stated them. Separate. Work together, sure, but always separate. Three factions is more interesting than 2, and hopefully KT/TGH can find a way to make it a real 4-way.

  36. I’m sorry I gotta break character for this. The treaty web is a damn mess right now. There are so many alliances that can’t decide what sphere they want to be in so they pick all of them. I can understand if you’re a large alliance having a ton of Protectorates (If they didn’t have the game would die) but, why so many MDPs? How can you maintain like six MDPs and not have an established bloc? If you want a big team of close allies make a bloc. If you don’t want to make a bloc then you shouldn’t want like 50 allies. You only have so much time in the day you can’t be close to all of them unless you act as one big alliance (like a bloc...). Honestly I’m impressed with TFP seeking to clean up their treaties a little. You can have great alliances as allies but, that doesn’t mean you’re close enough that they’re a good ally for you. I would rather have a weak but close ally than an incredibly distant strong ally. I might just be crazy but, that’s how I veiw the mess that is the treaty web. Hopefully we see some cleaning soon I just doubt it will happen.

  42. September 4th, 2018. A day that will sink in my heart, a day that I will remember. Today marks the end of the 3rd Golden Phoenix Coalition. The most successful of its dynasty lasting 7 months before it's death. I would like to thank my great government members who worked hard and impressed me, expect for Pedites Magn, the reason this post has been made. I would like to thank my allies and friends who supported GPC. I would like to thank Dark brotherhood, Lordaeron, Acadia, and The band of the Hawk, for protecting GPC at one point of its lifetime. I would like to thank people who critized me and gave hate towards me, for helping me improve and to give me a reason to never give up. This ending of the Golden Phoenix Coalition isn't me giving up on making a strong alliance, it's a step I must take to improve. I shall settle in my new home, my new alliance. I want to thank you all who were there by my side. Now here lies the Golden Phoenix Coalition for the last time. RIP.
