  4. good morning it's come to my attention that there's an issue with the attachment function of the forums. currently there's an upload limit of 500 kB per user, which is clearly shown whenever uploading new attachments. while annoying, this is an understandable restriction. once a user hits their 500 kB cap, the only way to add more attachments is to go back to old posts and remove attachments from them. normally this would be fine; however there are a couple of restrictions that make this practise impossible. firstly, if a post is hidden (e.g. the moderator practice of hiding "off topic" posts in no-discussion forums) then there's no way to edit the post to remove the attachments secondly, if a thread is locked (e.g. a completed report thread) then there's no way to edit the post to remove the attachments in the first instance, it's impossible to know if a post will be hidden, as moderator action differs between mods. in the second instance, users would have to remove their attachments between the time that alex views a report and closes it, which is impossible to predict. so far i've found no other way to remove attachments. the effect of this is that, if a user avails themselves of the provided attachment function, there's a good chance that, over enough time, their capacity to upload attachments will approach zero. i'm posting in the mod support forum because i'd like some assistance in removing my current attachments

  8. Ah I am the one who is being accused so I think I must clarify all your doubts. 1) 200k bauxite: I own one of the biggest banks in Orbis (Alpha Bank) which was earlier known as OrbisPay anyone can confirm that. We sell resources for whales and other nations that are not very good at trading. That 200k bauxite was sent to me so that I can sell it in the market and send the cash to my investors. 2) Billions in cash: At our bank we also provide savings account and vaults. All that cash and resources were invested by our customers. I have been playing this game for 1 year now and I know the game rules very well. Lastly to clear all your doubts, here is the link of my bank's discord server, check it out and all your doubts will be cleared. https://discord.gg/jrMbRtd Thank you! Edit: Talking about the trade still being there, its a glitch/bug. I have no bauxite in my nation at the moment.

  13. A lot of you seem to be doing quite a bit of seething at the GOONS for our impressive tactics and superior memes. Well it's your lucky day, us lower level GOONS are willing to be targets for your armies. Come attack us and see if you can defeat us or if we'll beige you into the next century. Come and try your luck, see if you can knock a GOON down! In particular, this goes out to The Immortals atm. I'm tired of chasing you guys around to blow up your tiny armies so come and attack me instead. Your alliance isn't long for this world you might as well give one final hurrah. 22. Nation Link: https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=190714 Ruler Name: SWA Nature of Violation: Overreaction and Insults via In-Game Messaging Link to Messages: https://politicsandwar.com/inbox/message/id=3761827 (for Alex) The leader of this nation had applied to my alliance, Bird Weed. After some review, the decision fell onto rejecting this nation due to not being a good fit for the culture of my alliance. It happens, no hard feelings on my end. Since I like to keep things in good fun, my in-character messages are always written by fictional ministers of my nation. Maybe that's not everyone's cup of tea, I can respect that, but it makes for fun nation roleplay with people who respond in kind. So I wrote this: SWA responded like this: I looked it up, Druon Antigoon is indeed a real character of folklore (https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/hand-of-druon-antigoon) which I didn't know about. Fair play, if that was the actual reason he picked that city name. It wasn't gonna change my decision, but I like learning about cool mythological things. I was about to send a message about the folklore thing but before I could, SWA sent these messages unprompted, which made me decide to post this report: I don't think my behaviour in any shape or form warranted this kind of response. Especially the "Allah Akhbar BOOM", "tiniest Führer" and "why am I being treated as a lesser human being" stuff is way out of line. If SWA disagrees with my decision, that can be done without implying I'm a muslim terrorist, a nazi or a man hater.

  23. Ok, first off, "In instances where trades and banks are used to funnel money and/or resources from one nation to another, where one nation has no intention to continue playing the game is a bannable offense[sic]." Ignoring the absolutely atrocious grammar, that basically means you're not supposed to siphon the resources off of someone that plans to quit. (Which raises some questions really, is the intent here to prevent farming initial beige for taxes etc. or is the intent to prevent people from sending their own resources to their own rerolls etc? Surely there's nothing wrong with an old whale deciding to bequeath their stuff to someone before they quit...? That rule really needs clarification and possibly editation, but that's for discussion here. Remember no discussion in this thread.) Regardless, by a strict interpretation of that rule, this bauxite delivery from this bank would be against the rules, as moving stuff from someone's first nation to their reroll would be one of the nations 'having no intention to continue playing'. Second off, the bauxite in question, 200k worth, was bounced about a bit, and currently resides in Antifia's bank (not unusual nor inappropriate for a bank boi) That said, if his bauxite is in the bank... Where'd the bauxite on the market come from?

  30. Quebec City The Britannian Avalon would land not too long after the USA's air force one landed. Aboard was C.C and Suzaku Kururugi who would be the delegates for Britannia to discuss the future of the continent. English-Canadian citizens cheered the Britannians while the French did not as the Britannian delegates headed toward the diplomatic building. After being escorted they would arrive at the building with both the USA and Britannian flag. Britannian Police aided the Quebec Police who were securing the area. While they were working alongside the US Secret Service they didn't cooperate to the fullest. Instead they watched each other across the distance and ensuring the safety of the Britannian delegates. Multiple units were placed on standby in the event of an emergency and all the necessary per-cautions were put into place.

  33. Sigh, no you are not history's greatest monster but you do enable Leo on his quest to do stupid things. As I recall, I was in BK's government channels and at times held their bank during a war and had zero affect on what Leo and upper government did at the time as well. So that dog don't hunt. Leaving my alliance during a war, however I felt about what my government was doing is something I am very loath to do and is something that I would take a very long time to decide. No matter how most people in this game feel about it I still have a great deal of personal honor and will do what I feel is the right thing for me. Just because you have sold your soul to the devil doesn't mean I should or will.

  36. For me personally: Competitive war > Loosing war > winning war. The suspense and planning of trying to fight a competitive war and gain the edge, of attacks and counters and counters to counters is great. I also enjoy loosing wars, finding the best ways to fight back and do the most damage to the enemy in a guerrilla style. Winning wars are generally the most boring for lack of targets. And when you do find targets you usually just beat them down quickly and that's it other than sitting on them and killing the concessional rebuy. I have more stamina than most players to keep fighting round after round. I enjoy having a diverse amount of things to do over time. I like war. I like different stages of war. I like building up my nation. I like the work of coordinating building and rebuilding and warfare on an alliance level. I like working with different types of people.

But keep on coming with the "no u"s. Why are you still allied to certain alliances if you don't want to set a precedent on breaking treaties?

  41. Friendly Unity Cooperation of Knightly Immortals Treaty Preamble The Knights Radiant and The Immortals enter into this treaty of mutual defense. Article I: Whatever, No War The Knights Radiant and The Immortals, referred to hereafter as the Signatories, come together in not caring, and shall be too lazy to put any effort towards hostile actions against one another. It is agreed to procrastinate on any other issues privately. Article II: Howard, It's The Phone! Both Signatories agree to share snacks, soft drinks and all other relevant goodies of worth while wasting away their weekends watching TV. It is agreed that no snacks shall be tainted, baked, or in any way reduced fat, so as not to misleadingly nudge the other party towards a healthy lifestyle. The Signatories are also encouraged to share technological and monetary techniques on kicking back when requested. Article III: I Guess We Can Should either Signatory come under attack, the other Signatory pledges to do anything necessary so long as it doesn’t require getting up from the couch. Okay, fine, if you insist. A Signatory isn’t required to move at all if this call is due to a Signatory's obligations towards, or actions undertaken on behalf of a third party. Article IV: A Final F U Should either Signatory wish to cancel this treaty, it may be cancelled at any time with the proper groans to the other alliance, followed by 72 hours. After the 72 hours have passed, we’ll cease the Netflix and the good times. /s/ The Knights Radiant Queen of the Heralds: The Micromanager Prince of the Heralds: The French Connection Herald of Foreign Affairs: The Deepstate Whale Herald of War: Arrgh’s Secret Agent Herald of Growth: The Money Mogul Herald of Internal Affairs: Modi Operandi High Princess of Foreign Affairs: The Chocolate Saint High Nerd of Foreign Affairs: Sir Talksalot /s/ The Immortals The First: Lord Tyrion Cosmic Lord: Scratchy Primordial of War: Alcyr Primordial of Foreign Affairs: Dr. James Wilson Primordial of Internal Affairs: Delby

  42. There are members of NPO who have been around just as long or even longer than members in coal A and have fought in just as many wars or even less than coal A members. Yet they are a good 4-6 cities behind their coal A counterparts with a corresponding drop in longterm productivity. If you need to find a reason to understand the disparity in economic power, you need to look closer to home and examine the tiering choices NPO made a few years ago and their subsequent impacts. The fact that NPO relies on 20 billion dollar loans from whales across the web to sustain its own growth speaks volumes. To be honest, the quality of NPO's leaders when it first rose to power was far better than the shabby excuses we have to put up with here. The likes of Ivan, dilber, Vlad and so on would not be overly impressed with this realm's NPO. Can't compare two entirely different NPO's separated by a decade and a half. Heck, I was a member of that old school NPO and I would likely join an alliance like the original NPO if it was formed here. But not this poor excuse we have for an NPO which is basically a personality cult fueled by fumes of paranoia.

  43. You seem to be trying extra hard to accuse Neko of this aren't you? Rather telling when one resorts to ad hominem attacks. Are you sure this isn't a continuation of the cyberbullying that caused Neko to reroll in the first place? This has and the botting are the same incident

  44. I would prefer to see soldiers having the ability to fire surface to air and surface to water missiles to target planes and ships. Would also like to see ships having the power to fight off air and troops. (Not project related) In addition I would like to see a defending nation having a shorter (12 or 18) hour rebuild ability. Defending nation is on home land and presumably has shorter supply lines than an attacking one. I would also like to see the scoring adjusted to relate more heavily to military in the battlefield at the time of declaration. As it stands now someone in 1000 range can have 60K troops only and be attacked by 3 smaller city nations with 110k soldiers 1000 tanks, 500 planes and 30-45 ships (each). There’s absolutely no defense under that situation.
