Afrikan Elephant Conservation The Korps were exploring the vast continent, sampling all the jollof along the way, when they came across a new civilization on the northern coast, Carthago. The Korps saw the many strange aspects of their culture and lifestyle, including their love of riding enormous elephants and using them as their cavalry, much as the Korps used Panzers. Sadly, the elephants were facing ever-increasing threats from hunters, barbarians, and pirates. So, seeing them as potentially useful to the Korps, they offered their help in setting up a conservation arrangement. Article 1 - Sovereignty The Korps shall not take any elephants for personal pets, even though they are cute AF. In exchange, no Carthaginian shall steal Panzers from military bases, even though they are the superior mode of transportation/warfare. Article 2 - Respect Friendly trade between both signatories will be arranged and can include German beer, various NSFW examples of holy PLOT, the best Mediterranean wine, silk and all the ceramic Etruscan Boar Vessels the Afrikans could desire. Article 3 - Mutual Defense Both signatories agree to protect not only the wildlife, but also the people of their great societies (but mostly the wildlife). Article 4 - Intelligence Any information about haters of lolis on Panzers or troubles brewing in the Alps in advance of a journey by the elephant war caravan shall be shared between both sides, as soon as reasonably possible. Article 5 - Non-Chaining Both signatories believe that elephants and Panzers need to be cage-free. In the event that either signatory is attacked as a result of their fulfillment of third-party obligations, Article 3 of this treaty is to be considered optional. Article 6 - Cancellation If the Korps get tired of shooting poachers with their machine guns or the Carthaginians think that the carbon emissions of the tanks are too harmful for their environment, either signatory must provide 72-hour notice in order to cancel this treaty. tl:dr; Elephants and tanks can coexist peacefully (AK & CTO sign a MDP) Signed for Afrika Korps: Big Tiny wehner Donny No wehner Skae Smoll Huge wehner Velium Perfect wehner Odin Everyone's wehner Deus Signed for Carthago: El Chach, Suffet Daveth, Elder Asierith, Elder Antonio, Elder Krampus, Elder12 points

I agree that some of the current perks need a rework. I would like to see more defensive focused perks, for example having tanks dug in for a percentage in defense. However the whole system has been in the game for 3-4 years and nothing has come from it. I hope it gets adapted and improved, then finally added into the playable game,3 points

Recognition of War So, I guess welcome back. That didn't take long. But you gotta admit, hitting Alpha seems pretty lame. We've been irrelevant for years, don't you know? On top of that, doesn't look so good when you can't handle your own business against an alliance who hasn't even existed for the better part of a year, and you have to call in extra help. Not mad or upset, just disappointed in you Oblivion. I thought you liked to fight or something? Anyway, we've noted your 11 nations on your AA and also will keep watch on those two 3000k infra whales that left after the war started. https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=24900 https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=63120 But it's fine, we expect them to say in that AA, and not use another AA's protection for any other purpose other than pixel hugging. This includes jumping back after bulking and declaring wars.2 points

TL;DR AT BOTTOM This sounds an awful lot like the military perks suggestion by Viselli. To help summarise why I dislike both ideas, let me quote the great god Sheepy: It seems like Alex is trying to make the game a little easier for these noobs. Adding a whole bunch of confusing mechanics is not going to help with this. That's why I think we should simplify ideas like these. Here's something I posted on the military perks suggestion thread a while back: Simple, intuitive blocs like this will help newbies find their way around and discover their playstyle. TL;DR: Too complicated for the noobs. Building off the built-in, non-functioning Perks system with simpler ideas and "skill trees" (maybe - on the fence about this one...) will be better for people who have just started up their nation.2 points

Expanding on Epi’s idea, how about an option to increase the number of alliances seen, like the 50 list in trades and all that. Maybe an option to see ALL treaties for all alliances in exsistence, only alliances with treaties, only alliances without treaties, and alliance score pickers by factos of 10k.2 points

These fellas with an alliance score of approximately 1600 may not have experience, or allies or planes but they have the most important thing: A keen sense of honor And In Orbis, we know that honor will take you places....1 point

Fighting in Nova's Not So Secret War has reminded me how vanilla combat and wars can be in Politics and War. There is a tried and true formula for how to attack. Once an alliance has the upper hand in a war, it becomes very hard for the losing side to regain the initiative or even be competitive. Back in 2015 and 2016, Alex had a few ideas on how to spice up wars and they deserve a second look. First, there was the idea from 2015 for military perks. The concept had 3 perks per unit type, of which you could only select one at a time, which nations could use to specialize their military for a specific fighting style. An example of one of these perks was the Nuclear Powered ships, which was described as "Nuclear Power offers a sustainable energy source for your ships. Nuclear Power eliminates the use of Gasoline by your ships. Upgrading to Nuclear Power will require 10 Uranium per ship in service, and all future ships will cost an additional 10 Uranium when manufactured." Complaints at the time were that most of the perks were offensive in focus. This system is a good idea that will spice up warfare and, if implemented right, could lead to a complex rock-paper-scissors type match ups. The second idea that deserves another look is from 2016. The Black Market was a concept Alex put together where players could buy units off of one another. This helps make wars more dynamic as it potentially could add more value to blockades as well as a potential military perk that involves blockade running. The black market would be a way for nations to buy units to supplement what they could make daily. This helps nations losing a war get back into the fight quickly. This also adds a unique ability to produce raw resources to make units to sell, rather than just selling the resource itself. Feel free to share your own ideas of military perks or ways these systems can be implemented into the game to add diverse tactics and game play. Edit: The perks are already in game https://politicsandwar.com/index.php?id=129 but they need a defensive balance1 point

If you were butthurt you might continue to speak, like you have, and post a paragraph of nonsense, like you have. The article, as it says in its title, is a Recap of about of month of political/alliance changes - if you were expecting an intense amount of information for every small political maneuver, I am sorry - as it is a recap, it recaps events, provides links to those events for those that might have missed out OR don't want to scroll through the forums clicking links an want to get straight to the OP whilst being listed by date. I do appreciate your feedback, however angry it seems to be.1 point

@Boofy, we get it. Pantheon did a halfassed attempt at hitting NR. NR, TF (along with whoever else wanted) rolled Panth. Now, keep it light mate, keep it fun. Cheers.1 point

I've been pretty chill on this. Got some deep history with Pantheon and I'd have to agree with others here, this is probably the best way to go out. Pantheon should have ended a long while ago. I voiced my opinion about Pantheon and their existence a little while back during judgment hour, sometimes its best to let go and recreate vs following the same patterns over and over. Hope y'all have fun and continue having fun wherever you go.1 point

Hello everyone, This post is entirely OOC, and regardless of ones' thoughts on BK or myself I come to you hoping that the P&W community can come together and support one of their own. Many of you may know @Biel, and his signature line "Disband X and join BK". What you may not know is he is a student in Caracas, Venezuela, and the situation around him has been getting progressively worse. The news stories we read in our news papers are unfortunately tru and Biel is a living, breathing example of how bad it has gotten down there. The true catalyst for this post was Biel recently being injured in the protests, and needing money to help pay for his medical bills. He is likely to need surgery, and given the current events that is a risky proposition. Any bit of foreign money is useful in acquiring the needed aid, as well as providing food for his family. For context, fifty American dollars can provide a meal for his family of four for a month. With this in mind we come before the P&W community to look for help. While I would make a full gofundme, pay pal is ultimately the only way for Biel to actually receive anything as go fund me is not available in Venezuela. If he was to have a gofundme established it would require a BK member establishing one and sending him the money. With that in mind we decided sending any money received directly to Biel is ultimately better for all involved. I have verified his identity and injury personally, and I have also attached pictures to this post to prove the legitimacy of this. If you have further questions regarding this feel free to contact myself or Biel on discord. His PayPal is: [email protected] Thank you for your help and generosity. Any amount truly makes a difference. Picture taken of Guaido during protests. Anti-Maduro soldiers taking the streets. Anti-Maduro solider waving Venezuelan flags.1 point

It was a dark and stormy night. The Afrikans of the Sahara huddled together in the dark of the night, no light to see. Kerosene lamps and sore eyes were once routine elements of grading student homework in the Afrikan Sahara. Solar electricity has changed that. Sofia Schmidt, a 35-year-old teacher in rural Wakanananada, Eastern Afrikan Province, can go through the pile of books stacked on her table without worrying that the onset of darkness will put an end to her work. Afrikan nations, blessed with sunlight all year round, are now tapping this free and clean energy source to light up remote and isolated homes that have no immediate hope of linking to their any electricity grid. “My eyes were always painful and my headache from the fumes,” Ms. Schmidt told Adjutant Chingkee. “Imagine trying to go through a hundred exercise books in poor lighting and smoke. The alternative was marking assignments before sunset, but that meant I could not spend time with my two young children before their bedtime, or prepare dinner early enough. Thankfully, this is now a headache of the past.” Electrifying rural areas poses unique challenges for Afrikan locals. Remote and scattered, rural homes, unlike homes in urban areas, are costly and often impractical to connect to the grid. Under the New Afrika Stronk Energy Development (NASED) program, nations are seeking innovative alternatives to give rural families efficient means to cook their food and light their homes. Stand-alone sources of energy, such as solar power can fill that need. Article 1 - Sovereignty Skae - “I’m a strong independent white woman” kiwilliam - “I thought you were black?” Article 2- Respect Skae - “@kiwilliam wanna go on a date?” kiwilliam - “Yes please~” Article 3- Defense Skae - “I want to keep my virginity…” kiwilliam - “Why?” Skae - “Because………..” kiwilliam - “I'm very good with commitment. Don’t worry bb.” Skae - “(uwu)” Article 4 - Intelligence William Wallace - “its a trap” Khai Jäger - “She wants citizenship” Strea - “HoE” Skae - “No uuu!” Article 5 - Cancelation Strea - “Divorce? I'll write up the papers then.” sip Should either signatory decide this agreement is not in their best interest, the other signatory must be informed 72 hours prior to their withdrawal. tldr: Afrika Korps marries off Skae to Kiwi…. MDP with the Solar Knights. Read above.1 point

It's not about being positive about pantheon, it's about keeping the community alive by keeping a positive attitude with respect to any alliance, even if they may be in a sad state of affairs like pantheon is. 'Why does anyone care about you again?' isn't a great way to keep this community alive, a positive attitude makes this game more fun instead of constantly telling people they are garbage which seems to be all you do on the forums. Hence, positive attitude, as usual.1 point

Unprovoked attack, we had no intentions of attacking our friends at Pantheon. We don't know how they came to this conclusion.1 point

The same way we have bulk import improvements to cities, we should have a "build all cities to X infra/land" button, because when you fight any war with anyone, many or all cities will get hit and than you have to tediously go through every single one and write in dumb numbers like 165.34 or something for all of your cities, in my case 20. It's just quality of life and would be very convenient.1 point

Soup Kitchen, Seven Kingdoms and Solar Knights should have a free for all. Winner takes the acronym, losers get one letter each. In all seriousness though I don't care for the treaty1 point

When you think about it, attacking someone in politics and war is basically like attacking them in real life. Maybe even worse when you think about all the hard work that goes into building a big strong nation. Screw you Oblivion!1 point

Our community has a near 100% daily activity. You will see that ingame come wartime. So maybe look into that shit before you post about things you know nothing about. I'm going to give you a short history lesson, seems you need it, will most likely be a waste of my time. Go back and look at our contributions in Oktoberfest, in 168-Day war, most of our guys date back to those days. Then, go look at damage ratios in all proceeding wars we were involved in along with SA. Go ask GOB, your allies even. Now net ratios have a limited value and loss is a loss. But dead weight is one word that doesn't apply to us. Just because you get dogpiled and can't keep planes against 3 attackers, doesn't make you dead weight. We've always fought hard, using weapons that do the most damage in both wins (conventionally) and losses (targetted conv strikes and nukes). And for the love of Alex, which is it, are we plotters building a coalition or dead weight?1 point
