  1. This is regarding some bank activity that simply doesn't makes sense between the nation of Veins and his always changing AA. This is specifically focused on the 6 "test" transactions that happened on 1/1/20 from 2:53pm-2:57pm. To me, it seems like the nation was able to generate $15 billion out of nowhere. Veins is a nation that is disbanding and creating new AAs every other day it seems, which is suspicious activity in and of itself. However, with him doing that, in his bank activity, you should see that amount of money reflected in his history as he moves it between his nation and is AA bank at the time. Trust me, he isn't keeping that kind of money stashed in his nation. He's a raider, and therefore is usually getting beiged and looted, but if you view those wars where he did lose, what gets looted from him is basically nothing. He keeps all his funds stashed away in his AA's. Is it possible to investigate where this money came from? His trade activity doesn't account for it, so I'm stumped. https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=146015&display=bank https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=146015&display=trade If there's an explanation, my apologies for the wasted time. I just don't understand where those billions of dollars came from, especially since you should easily be able to track that money through all of the AA's he creates and disbands. Dryad is the other nation that works with him on these temporary popup AAs (again, I don't understand the point of popup AA's unless there is some sort of exploit that can be used to do that...), but his bank records don't show that kind of money either: https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=146719&display=bank

  7. This is like the worst reason to lose your pixels. If you don't mind going to war, lose all your stuff and wanna make a point then pick a side in the global and actually impact the game. Now they are just getting nuked and raided by a few people with no impact on the game at all. And like wow, so brave to fight the 10 man evil army.

  8. Maybe you dont have anything to lose, Fark sphere certainly has lol. The thing is that you wont keep a couple hundred fark sphere nations from getting high infra because 10 enemy nations are playing terrorist. If it actually gets to a point where Fark Sphere has nothing left to lose then gg - you have now lost all you had to a mere 10 people.

  9. All of you don't understand high performance raiding. It is absolutely impossible to beat us because we have nothing to lose while it's also impossible to stop us from fighting back and pretty difficult to stop us from profiting. That being said the reason we raided the DH bank and why I raided fark right after was for profit alone, not out of a grudge. They declared war on us as a response which is completely fine and naturally we are retaliating and do our best to be as damaging as we can. "the longer they’re trying to destroy my ally" is complete bullshit as we didn't start this beyond a reason than loot and are now not the ones keeping it going. In fact Vein has approached Raoul Duke for their surrender giving them a way out if they want to. I understand they don't want to accept defeat but we are certainly not trapping them in.

  11. Vein withdrew from his alliance to the nation and then back into the bank. You can see the amount withdrawn and then deposited is the same in both the case of 10b and 15b so there is no 25b being generated as that money comes from the alliance and goes back into it.

  15. I have said this before but we aren't dragging out anything. They aren't ending the war because they don't want to end the war, stop pushing it on Mythic. Our Horsemen embassy is extemely active with daily interaction and a friendly tone, to the point where we have nominated and voted for the Horsemen as most honorable alliance in the yearly awards. Also, people get too obsessed with labels for an outcome, this applies to you wanting white peace and also to Vein wanting a Surrender on Fark sphere side. To me it means nothing, what matters is ingame material in the form of infra, wealth, time and peace terms affecting the game. Regardless of the label that will be put for the outcome of this war, Fark certainly has only lost in this interaction while Mythic will walk away with some loot and a good time. And you are correct, this entire situation is extremely rigged in our favor.

  21. As a member of Coalition B, I can say that the current awards are nothing more than a circlejerk between the major alliances on our side. Every year, it's the same. "@everyone, be sure to vote for X members/alliances so we can win!" It's made the yearly awards a joke, and I'm sure others agree with me when I say I don't care about them. It seems like alliances such as NPO and GOONS are wholeheartedly defending the current system because it's seemingly the only thing they're good at organizing and coming together for, basically guaranteeing their side the win every year. Their members will blindly vote for whomever their leadership tells them to without thinking about who actually deserves it. You can try to deny this is the case, but you're not fooling anybody. I've seen it myself year after year. The current system is a joke and needs to be improved upon if there is to ever be any credibility to these awards. I guarantee you if the situation was reversed, and Coalition A members were dominating the awards, it would be Coalition B alliances trying to devise a new system. You have the other side trying to work with you to create a fair voting system, but are shutting them down because things went your way this year. It's pretty sad. @hope and everyone else, this is a great suggestion and I agree with it 100%. I appreciate the effort even if no one else on my side does.

  22. Pretty much what it says on the tin. Let alliances place embargoes and let their member nations opt out if they wish. Let this be against other alliances ir individual nations. A spy intel mission on said nation will let folks know if they are currently following thier alliance embargo or not.

  27. Most of the discussion has revolved the concept of picking winners on certain criteria. How about making it not about anyone winning in particular and each group could present its opinions about unaffiliated alliances they'd consider for each? So someone not affiliated with coalition B but with Coalition A would pick 2 between those. Someone not aligned with either would pick one of each for each category. Someone from Coalition B would pick two from Coalition A. If the motivation is to have a community event, then this way of doing it where people have to evaluate other groups might be beneficial and would eliminate the concern of there being an invalidation of the popular vote.

Is verifying your account that easy so the same person can post pictures holding numbers or letters - for different accounts? I mean, how come they're all verified as individual accounts.. I doubt all of them would bother to verify their accounts as individual accounts if they didn't even bother with playing the game and 90 % of them if not all went inactive at same dates, or a day or two later one after another.. 33. oh god how did this get here i am not good with computer It has been rough 2019. For the game, for myself, and for my alliance. After a war of unprecedented implications in the winter, the spring brought with it a fresh breeze of change and deceptive promises. Spheres and blocs were shifting, breaking up, and newly forming, all over the political globe. KT and TGH formed a new bloc with the Grumpy Guardians, and determined to do our part in shaping a new landscape of multiple spheres, of dynamic cooperation, of short-term commitments and perpetual choice between abundant options. As Saul Berenson said in Homeland: "I actually convinced myself we were gonna change the world." Our actions during that time, culminating in our war versus Chaos, were irrefutably taken in pursuit of those goals. The situation took an unxpected turn prompted by leaked plans to target both our blocs, and suddenly we found we could work together with the same people we were just fighting hours before. Still, it looked like our dream had become reality. But all that changed when one certain key alliance took it upon themselves to make the biggest possible decision on behalf of the entire game, crush all possibility and nuance, and throw the world back into brutal certainty. Today, there remains little doubt about the future of this game. The forces at the helm of both political hemispheres have forced each other to give up all other pursuits and goals, and to be utterly dedicated to stopping or destroying one another. In such a bipolar dystopia, no single alliance can truly find its own way while it remains part of the machine. Certainly not an alliance as uniquely skilled and freedom-loving as KT. Our commitments in this war are already made and can no longer be broken, but it will have been the first and last time we will have allowed ourselves to be NPCs in a black-and-white world. A new year is about to dawn, and a new chapter in the history of KT will be written by a new pen. With the beginning of 2020, Knights Templar will become truly paperless. We vow to never again be allied to any other alliance, neither overtly nor in secret. And never again will we wage war in pursuit of political goals. But we will wage plenty of wars, and we will always be open for military cooperation - be it for money or for fun. For the ongoing war, this means that on the 1st of January KT will sever all our ties to KETOGG and Coalition A. From that moment, we will no longer be party to their peace negotiations, and we will not be included in any peace deal between the 2 coalitions. We will then only consider negotiating for our own peace after the coalitions have peaced out, and the global war is over. Furthermore, KT will be treating our ongoing conflict versus IQ as a fun and friendly war, regardless of how it originally started. Our only goals are to shred more pixels and to have a good time. In case you're wondering, the unusual 3 week advance warning is to give both coalitions a reasonable window of opportunity to agree to a peace deal, if for whatever reason they wish to do so before this announcement takes effect. KT will be party to Coalition A's peace efforts and agreements for the remainder of 2019. tldr: Sorry, GOONS. Looks like we'll still be at war for the forseeable future.

  34. You're missing the larger context, it is a famous piece of work from the absolutely insane timecube screed: https://timecube.2enp.com/ . It's not meant to be taken literally, obviously. It is a work of art; prose from a higher plane of existence. Even at face value that's some pretty weak shit man. I mean, dumb, snot for brains? Come on now. Not to mention that I myself, and most of the other people here are American. I'd be happy to excise it if Alex and friends deem it to be unfit but frankly you don't even have the shadow of a case, and by the look of your recent reports, you're just having a normal one.

  35. Isn't it sad that some alliances feel the need to tell their members who to vote for? Why do they do that, is it possibly so they can stop the possibility of a few members disagreeing with alliance leadership and someone deserving actually getting it? Thanks for coming up with such a good system, Hope. I'm sorry the NPO and friends got so butthurt about it because they couldn't game it. Hopefully the 2020 awards will be organised according to a better system that alliances can't game. Either that or NPO/Goons/whoever the frick else is so insecure they feel the need to game a popularity contest realise that some people are better than them and that some of their members disagree with leadership. Or that those alliances are not a part of the game in 2020, which I must say is the most appealing option.

  37. These awards will not have in-game representation. I can't help the "defacto administrative sanction" with regards to the forums but, as I said earlier... They are supposed to be for fun and have no bearing on the game. If you guys don't want to be a part of it, that's fine. But stop kicking up a storm if you don't want to be involved and help out because these literally will have no impact on your in-game experience. @Chief Wiggum, if you'd be so inclined, go ahead and move this thread to Orbis Central

  39. Can you guys ever be happy? You threw a tantrum in the official awards thread and ranted and raved about the need for an alternative despite you winning by a landslide thanks to numbers. Now, when there is an actual alternative being run, it's another tantrum about them being undemocratic and biased. I guarantee if it was someone in Coalition B running the awards, they would be billed as the greatest thing since the invention of democracy. Cut it out. There's no reason for you to be acting like this.

  43. You are the only one here trying to make this about politics. The rest of us here are literally trying to reach out to you all and get you to join in on making the system better, which would also have the side effect of counter-balancing any supposed power that we have. While you personally may not think there's anything to be improved upon, that is not representative of your alliance and, to be quite honest, I don't think it's representative of your actual opinion either. If the concern you actually have that you're not saying is over in-game awards, you can relax. No one on this team cares about the awards going in-game and we're not looking to make this into a Coalition A circlejerk to have us get positive awards/you get negative awards. There won't even be negative awards besides Worst Alliance Leader, which we all know exists just for @TheNG (?). Join or don't. We'd love to have you get involved and have Coalition B represented but if you want to make your ally's idea to try and facilitate a better, more balanced awards system into some conspiracy to have Coalition A retcon awards, that's your prerogative. These concerns are not new or influenced by the outcome of the awards nor are they only from Coalition A... From Teaspoon (GOONS) on the Community Awards From Comrade Milton (GOONS) on the awards in general Mad Max (also not Coalition A): All of those were well before the award results were ever decided or revealed. Regarding a "secret" cabal, it's not secret. Everyone's aware who's on the panel and there are some guards in place to try and maintain objectivity. The current idea is to include literally about 60 alliances all across Orbis, all the results are going to be publicly viewable, and alliance leaders can't nominate or vote your own alliance. Transparency is absolutely a valid concern and that's why everything all throughout this process is going to be as visible as possible. It's also not a cabal as there is still a part of this process designed to include general membership. Also, this is still a working idea. There is still room for movement and ideas to be weighed, considered, and added. Hope came up with the idea and just reached out to all of us today. This literally just got started. We're working on refining his idea with him and would like you guys to be a part of that process as well.
    1 point
  44. Apparently you and everyone else keep missing the memo that an individual from your coalition is the one that started this idea. Imagine !@#$ing about someone trying to do a community event for fun. For shit’s sake, how petty and pathetic can someone be.

  45. The loudest opponents to how this year's awards were conducted came from your side so please stop making this about in-game politics when it's not. I'd invite you to join the server and hear hope/the organizers out. Get involved in the process and help shape it into something that can be better enjoyed by the entire community and is a better representation of this game and the year. No one's trying to penalize anyone and, again, there will still be a popular vote aspect to the awards based on hope's vision. If, after you guys hear it out, you have suggestions for improvement, say them. Be a part of the decision-making process. I'm starting to sound like a broken record so I'm done arguing this out with you here. Just, please keep an open mind and send someone from NPO to discuss ideas with us. We want your side to be included, in both the discussion over how to organize the awards and the voting. Top 50 is the base only for alliance leader representatives, btw. It does not mean that someone not in the Top 50 can't be nominated for an award, just for clarification. Also, it's a starting point, not the end-all-be-all for representatives - there is a tentative system that allows for other alliances outside the top 50 to be added to the alliance leader representative team and have a vote and I think your alliance would likely be one of the most likely to be included.

  47. Avengers sign ODoAP with Schrute Farms! A fairly new power of orbis 'Avengers' sign a ODoAP with beet farmers of Orbis aka Schrute Farms. Avengers, a new alliance that climbed into top #60 in just 18 days of its creation has impressed the farmers with their potential and activity and thus decided to sign a treaty of friendship and brotherhood. "Both alliances promise to help each other in countering the raiders to keep their farms and spaceships safe. We also sign an optional pact of aggression to help each other blitz alliances we hate." Wartime preparation: Schrute Farmers will achieve the ground control with armed tractors, trucks and harvesters which will be followed by air strikes from Helicarrier owned by Avengers (Helicarrier was restored and modified after destruction). 48. False. None that I know exists that automates warfare. Though the multi ring has a nice ring to it.
    1 point
  49. Current situation: Whenever you are attacked by air, combat automatically occurs. If you are severely outnumbered the plane loss is extremely lopsided. And this situation makes it very easy for someone to keep air supremacy through air attacks that wipe out any of your buys. Planes also have the longest build up time which makes them the hardest to build back up once outnumbered. Proposal: Allow you to put your planes in a "no defense" mode in a war. In that mode, your units don't contest the battle and neither the attacker nor defender take plane casualties. Changing to or from "No defense mode" costs 1 MAP. If the attacker targets planes, the additional planes killed by that targeting are still killed. So they can still attack your planes to keep you from building more, but it's slower and takes more MAPS/resources/resistance than it does currently. Reasons: - Makes planes slightly less OP by making it easier for someone to climb back towards contesting air battles again. - Creates more space for building back up to make more wars contested and interesting. - Gives people more options to make wars more dynamic.
