  1. Yes all those people begging for infra reductions for purely selfish and/or political reasons are now vindicated. TBH I really think what this game needs is a button to spawn cash, but only for Rose members. Because why not.

  4. I think its time to tackle city costs, large cities cost way too much, eventually all the people crying about infra costs are going to grow large enough that they will then start crying about city costs, so lets just go ahead and lower city costs of cities 20+ now to cut them off at the pass.

  5. Within Knights Templar, it is viewed as a badge of honor for a member to eat a missile or nuke. So much so, in fact, that when we introduce ribbons/badges for certain accomplishments, there will be one for eating so many missiles/nukes. To this end, I would like to publicly congratulate a member of Esquire Templar, Dakai of the country of fanla, for being the youngest nation in P&W to be nuked at just 3 days old. Dakai, an aspiring Templar, joined ET so that he may eventually become a member of KT. On the 20th, he attacked Zephyrus, the leader of a micro named Typhon, for raiding another member of ET. Arsony Carrera, along with 2 other members of Typhon, countered Dakai. Arsony Carrera had nukes, and launched one: Not only did Dakai eat a nuke at just 3 days old, but he did so with his head up high. He hasn't whined about it (whereas a lot of new players would quit if something like this happened to them). He is prime KT material, and we're happy to have him on board with us. Deus Vult.

Wait that clown dropped 65 million to build to 2500 infra in 2 cities, then dropped another 70 million in cash and resources to buy nukes, and then another 2.6 million to buy a nuke and launch it? And people want to help "new players"? I guess when they do stupid shit like that they need all the help they can get.

  11. But does it really matter? Everyone on the left already thinks Trump fellates the Russian president. Releasing any of the information above can only lead to conjecture, not actual evidence of collusion. You can spread your conjecture all you like, Mueller wouldn't be able to do anything because conjecture doesn't hold up in court. So if Trump's business dealings only involve the three things you said, he shouldn't have a problem releasing it. It would present no change in the status quo and would prove once and for all there is no Russian money pouring into our election. Hell, it would even make him look good, since it would also show people that the left is just a bunch of crazy jackasses who just hate Trump and want to get rid of him. Besides: 1. That was before the election, unless the Russians had the foresight of a !@#$ing genie, nobody expected Trump to get the nomination, much less the presidency. 2. That wouldn't necessarily be strange, considering that Trump has business dealings in multiple countries. The only time that would be strange if it had a sudden increase in 2016 from one country or source which doesn't account for extra business ventures or revenue. 3. Inflating property values is irrelevant to Trump-Russian collusion. The only condition where that would be of interest is an inflated property value was purchased during the 2016 election by a Russian official or someone closely tied to the Kremlin, and even then, you would have to prove there was a quid-pro-quo attached to it. Also a nothing burger if that was the case. But, seeing as how Trump and his lawyers are collectively shitting their pants at the idea of Mueller going through his tax returns despite knowing more about any criminal proceedings [and how to thwart those proceedings] than I do, I imagine there might be something more interesting in those tax returns. Conjecture, but nonetheless, the behavior of the Trump administration doesn't help sway me from that conclusion. I also like the fact that conservative media (Mah Han Man) is already priming people to shit on Mueller in anticipation for the day when he finds Trump's bullshit. Mueller is evil everyone! He's a liberal! He pockets Dem money! He's a liberal conspiracy ready to hunt down Trump and all of his associates. lol. If a stable workforce participation were the sole indicator of a good economy, you would imagine that the economy was stable at the bottom of the housing market in 2008. In any case, I fail to see how workforce participation means anything in the context of over-speculation and consumer confidence. I'm basing my guess on things that look like the housing crisis, things like title loans and payday loans which are taking up larger parts of the economy. Dr. Doom's predictions too, I suppose, but he's a rather liberal economist (perhaps a little too liberal for my tastes). Perhaps. That is a possibility that could happen. But it's rather hard to blame the establishment when your party controls all branches of the government. Sure, you can try and spin it off to liberal media and so-on, but I'm hedging my bets that Trump's administration will not be able to do anything about an economic crisis even with 3 branches of government. I imagine people would eventually stop blaming a (shadow) liberal media and establishment politics and start blaming someone who commands the most powerful position in the world. Obama initially tried to blame Bush for the debt and the housing crisis, but even his supporters didn't want to hear it from someone who spouts hope and change, but can't deliver when he's the most powerful man in the world. I imagine that Trump supporters will come to the same conclusion, primarily because a good chunk of his supporters were Obama supporters. I could be wrong though, Trump supporters have surprised me in the past with their boundless religious devotion to a cheeto and their lack of foresight.

  16. This update is not related to Arrgh specifically whatsoever. I am continuously accused each update of "attacking Arrgh" or "singling out Arrgh" as if I have some sort of disdain for that group of players. The point I made was that not only do I not hold any sort of disdain for Arrgh, I really have no opinion whatsoever. When I'm making updates, the first question I ask myself is certainly not "How will this help/hurt Arrgh?"

  19. Oh wow, yet another update to kill Arrgh's gameplay just because incompetent people can't handle us so they cry to "fix" what is not broken. Time to adapt our strategy again. But seriously why not make an update so that other people get nerfed and we get boosted? I mena we sacrificed our growth to play that way, and it was all fair for both sides, and now they get yet another edge over us, just like they did almost every update thus far. I mean, except for econ update which made our loot worth more on market, every other update was either outright bad for Arrgh or bad/neutral for everyone in equal measure (for isntance the update that introduced resistance). Why is it that every time you change shit in this game it is with clear intention to make others have easier time beating us and our playstyle down while we struggle ever so more just to keep our methaphorical and literal ship afloat? Why not reward us isntead, who play the game dilligently and do what we can just to get by? How about you add it so that nation getting deleted surrenedrs in all active wars first? How about reducing the impact army and increasing impact of infra on score? How about nerfing spy assasinations? How about removing pop cap from recruitment? Or any other thing that might benefit us sligtly more than others?

  21. While the current formula does make it cheaper for newer nations to build up their infra in their fresh cities, it ends up making it too easy to buy "middle" infra as well, since it costs much less to get a city to 1500 or even 2000 infra. Now if you were a mid tier nation you could save a lot more money, easily enough to buy another project. On the bright side though, now there's a bit less restraint to declare war. Now that infra is cheaper, people don't need to worry as much about losing it during a war.

  26. Ever since the wedding of Kal Taral and his wife, Anna, the Imperial Palace, and by extension the rest of the planet, had experienced higher security, as there had been several attempts on Emperor Taral's life. it was unknown as to who would want him dead, but he suspected someone in parliament being behind it. At the same time, there were reports of terrorists calling themselves "LICIT" taking hold on Orbis III, which he realized would become quite troublesome in the future. Even with this bad news, he was pleased that the AVATAR project, as well as Project Blackwing, or Bioweapons Project I17A, had been completed. Outside of the throne room, two guards stood, preventing anyone from entering without permission from the Emperor himself. Emperor Taral, who usually preferred to be left in silence, summoned several of his closest advisors, as well as Kal Taral and one of the ambassadors to Orbis III. Upon their entry, Sutta walked up to them, not only to speak to them, but in order to read their minds. "Grand Moff Vaiken... My most trusted military leader... I presume you haven't betrayed me?" Sutta asked in an almost menacing tone. "No, my lord. I have not. Feel free to check for yourself, but I hold nothing but admiration for you." Vaiken replied. "I suppose you are right..." Sutta said as he moved on. "You may leave." he added as he turned to face his son, Kal. "Father, I swear to you that I have done nothing against you. I have been leading the investigations into this matter as you asked." Kal said, fearing that he might be punished. "Oh, don't act like I believe you are behind it, son. In fact, I summoned for you in particular because I have something to tell you." Sutta replied, not seeing why he needed to be afraid. "From this day forth, you will fulfill the role of Co-Emperor of the Akaatan Infinite Empire. You will not work with me as a lesser, but an equal." he added with what could almost be mistaken as pride. "Now, I shall move on to Prime Minister Fel." he finished as he walked over to the prime minister. "My lord? W-what do you need of me?" Fel asked nervously. "Tell me. Were you behind the attempts on my life?" Sutta said, his eyes slowly turning black as he saw him. "N-no. I-I wasn't i-involved." Fel replied as he realized he had been found out about. "Your thoughts betray you, 'Prime Minister' Fel... I know better than to trust you. What other secrets does your mind hold, I wonder... Oh... how shameful, Fel. You have been involved in black market dealings and bribery? How unbecoming of a Prime Minister." Sutta said, his voice slowly starting to loose all signs of emotion once more. "And what is this? You have been giving secrets to our enemy, the Kyr? How dare you!" he added. "Take him away! He will be taken before a military tribunal if I have anything to say about it!" he finished before returning to his throne. "Father, if I may, I would like to ask for everyone else to leave the room for a minute. I would like to tell you something pertaining to the family." Kal asked as screams could be heard from the hallway leading to the room. "Of course..." Sutta replied before requesting that everyone else leave. "What is it, son?" he asked once everyone else had left. "Well, how should I put this... You are going to be a grandfather." Kal said. For a few moments, Sutta remained silent before he had realized what Kal had said. "That's... the best news I have heard in a while... Son, I would like to be the first to tell you this: Congratulations. I hope that this crisis shall be resolved before the child is born, at least so that he or she will not have to live through what I did." Sutta said. For a few more minutes, they would continue talking before Kal left. Upon him leaving, Sutta got up and looked out over the planet below, upon the coming dawn.

  27. A few days later, in a hideout somewhere in the countryside of Crete... "Well it is certainly good to know that our FRA friends are more than capable of working with us," said Dennis. "Samuel, how are the shipments coming along?" "Well, sir the shipments are almost ready to be delivered to the warehouse. I'll go and personally oversee their placement", Samuel replied. Dennis nodded. 30 minutes later... Both criminals were busy with their own business. The phone ringing, then, was certainly startling. Samuel picked up: "Hello? Yes, yes..." he paused as he listened to the voice on the other end. He covered the mouth piece, and turned to Dennis: "Sir, the police raided the warehouse! We need to prevent the Cobra going there, and we need to get it out of here. The police are onto us." Dennis looked at Samuel, mouth open, then ordered Samuel to cut the phone. "Listen, sonny, you are going now to the base, and you are going to take all the Cobra and fly it out, tonight toward Greece. Land in a deserted area, and do not speak with anyone. I will keep you updated with instructions. This is vital, do you understand?!" Samuel nodded. Both criminals then began to hurriedly push things into bags, and clean the place up, in an effort to leave quickly if need be. There was a knock at the door. A man, looking a little disheveled walked in. Both Samuel and Dennis unholstered their guns and pointed them at the man. He raised his hands and said "Dennis, Samuel, I'm with the FRA. I was told to come here?" Samuel looked at Dennis, and lowered his weapon: "Good, what's your name?" "Hans. Deprez, is my codename. I am here to help both our organizations create a new wing. We discussed over the phone?" Both AHM men nodded. Dennis, speaking in a hurry said: "Hans, there is no time to explain. We were planning to send a shipment of Cobra to Laurentia via boat, but our warehouse was raided just a few minutes ago. Samuel here will now meet the Cobra transport team and fly the Cobra to Laurentia. You should go with him and discuss your New World Order thing with him. I'll be following behind you. Go!" A deserted field, night, many hours later... "All right, thank you. I'll take the plane, fly to Greece, and take it from there. Hans, do you have the kit?" asked Samuel, who was clearly nervous. Hans nodded, and both men climbed into their respective seats on the plane. The field was deserted, and the gang members who had helped prepare the plane and load the Cobra had disappeared. Samuel started the engine and began his takeoff run. The plane, with no tail lights, took off into the night, and before long was high over Crete. Aboard the plane, the nervousness began to fall away. "So, Hans, tell me about this New World Order thing. What are you proposing?" "You must understand that only a really unified and efficient organization can really rid Orbis of Hungadada and Laurentia. The FRA feels that two different organizations is not the way to go. So, that is why we are proposing a joint organization. The AHM joins with the FRA to combine forces and form the New World Order. We'd still have the same supply routes and stuff, but it would be under a new organization." Samuel looked at him and replied "Yes, I agree. It is a good idea. At least now we'll be able to better organize our missions. ---

However, seeing as there is no point in asking, I guess I shall explain. First, you will probably want to fill out an application in the Map thread here: Next, if you want to affect other nations more easily while also being affected by them, add yourself to the free consent list here: Following that, you are more or less free to begin rp'ing. Just keep in mind the following: 1.) Stay within your limits (meaning that you can't pull scifi tech out randomly without development) 2.) No godmodding (ties into 1) 3.) Make sure that your threads have at least three sentences, otherwise it will not be considered as valid by staff Again, feel free to pm me for advice, and if you have an account on Discord, tell me via PM and I will invite you to one of the channels.

  34. RISE OF MIRAAK AND HIS CULT The Civil War Rages on, as the battle of Imperial City comes to no avail. The Rebel leaders discuss the future of their nation and their war. Commander Davis: Gentlemen, this war is going on long enough. Within days we will run out of food, within weeks water and ammunition. What then? Captain Allen: Sir, we must push a frontal assault and take the walls. Captain Marquis: We have tried god damn it. Several Times! While you were busy pigging off, we were fighting a war. if you could even plan a proper strategy we might not even be having this meeting. The Officers continued to bicker and fight, with the leadership in tangles. Even outside, their screaming could be heard by their troops. Demoralizing them even further. The Commander had enough. Gentlemen! He raised his voice so loud even the birds outside began to flutter. We have too paths, to either continue this siege, or to fight to the death. I for one would rather not have our entire force be killed in a Pyrrhic Victory even if it may win us the war. The Captains looked, seeing davis so stern was a first. Captain Allens: Commander, we can at the least stall the Empire by holding secret meetings ending hostiles for the meanwhile and allowing our troops to rest. Captain Ochoa: As well as theirs. Commander Davis: So it is settled, Allens you will take 3 of your men and head to the gate, wave your white flag and let us see if they accept to discuss a peaceful settlement. And like you said, Stall. The Moonless night had kept Allen and his men covered until they reached the walls of Imperial City. For decades many tried to take the walls, and like the groups before they had all failed horribly. The bodies from the assault earlier today still remained in the field, creating a scent of decay. The Captain on the gate noticed the men coming forward, and when he saw the white flag he was prepared to kill them. Believing it a trap, the garrison commander saw the captain and told him to hold steady. He raised the gates. Allen and his men were taken to an underground room in the palace, where the government and Allen discussed a peaceful settlement. Days had gone by, and no mutual ground could be reached, but the fate of the empire was already sealed. A Dragon Priest had already infiltrated both groups, aware of their strategies, tactics, locations, and manpower he played both groups. Alas, Miraak had them in checkmate. The Cult of Miraak had poised as Royal Guards, and they silently killed the other Guards, and opened the doors for Miraak. Arguing and intense shouting was heard from the room, until Miraak bursted in. Miraak: Mortals, my name is Miraak. I am here to free you from yourselves. For to long war has ravaged these lands, it’s time for order. As Herma Mora, Daedric Prince of Knowledge and memory as my witness. I command you as my birthright as Dragonborn. To lay down your arms and bow before me. Swiftly a Dragonshout came from the mouth of Miraak turning the people in the delegation into mindless zombies making them bow before him. Delegations had no choice but to sign to Cultists Accords, giving up all control of the territory and all governmental powers to Miraak and his Cult of followers. Afterwards, he sent the delegations from each nation to fight to the death. All delegates would die. No one could stop Miraak now. I will do what all you have failed to do, I will rule our territory with might and power. This land will be mine! When High King Torygg was killed, as his Delegation discussed the news, a fire ravaged the royal palace and killed both his heir and family. Leaving the throne empty. The rebels heard the news and began to rejoice, assuming Allen and his men killed High King Torygg. In Cyrodiil, the Army and people were shocked, and with their weak wills Miraak infested their minds. And so he was named Leader of Cyrodiil and he began to slowly eradicate the so called rebellion. The Legions began to massacre the Tamriel held lands, killing the civilians and rebels alike. The Rebel Leaders themselves were caught and killed daily. With the rebellion rapidly following Lord Miraak began to assume the nation. The Elder Council were infested and officially recognized Miraak’s rule and dissolved the council. The Governors handed in their resignations, or died to ‘rebel’ attacks. Appointing high level Cult Officials to watch the regions. Mighty temples and statues were built in Miraak’s Honor and Image to boost not his leadership, but how strong he and his voice was. The new Promised land was a mindless zombie field. He began to use the people to expand the economy, rebuilding the capital, countryside, and damaged roads. The city within months became a beacon of commerce, but a beacon of the darkest of humanity. Only the cultists remained away from the trance, and as local as they were, they remained the nation’s leaders, police, soldiers, and even diplomats. High ranking Soldiers from the Imperial Legion were given the chance to become part of the Cult. What they didn’t know is if they refuse they would become mindless zombies. Miraak's Home island, Solstheim was filled with Cultists and locals who were his most loyal and trusted subjects. Miraak would keep to his studies on Solstheim and in Apocrypha. However, the world took notice of this rise and began to wonder what would happen next for the new nation. Miraak and his officers would plan for the future of their new nation. In the meantime, the people would pray and worship Miraak. In the woods, the remaining rebels began to attack his temples, burning his statues, and even killing the local villagers. The rebellion was lost, and even their leaders knew. As the Laurentian Advisor Task Force was quickly recalled, the rebels tried to leave with them. However, many were left behind, surrounded, they were left to face off against the Cultist Legions of soldiers. Military Governor Jonathan, the High Chancellor, Rebel soldiers and children were sent aboard the HMLS Zygria where the fleet began to sail to the Naval Base in New Haven. Conner: Colonel, I know you can not take many of us. Please, take my daughter, he handed him his little girl Colonel Reinhardt took the baby, looking at Conner. Reinhardt: I wish we could take all of you. Damn it, we were so close. Conner: You taught me a valuable Lesson Reinhardt, never leave your men, and never back down. Reinhardt: He took out his service weapon, handing it to Conner In my country, this is a very ceremonial honor. Officers usually hand their service weapon as a sign of respect, or defeat. I hope you find your way my brother. He took the baby and boarded his helicopter. The Soldiers burned the camp, destroyed all intelligence, and removed any trace of Laurentia aiding the rebellion Conner and what remained of the main rebel force held the Legions off, facing wave after wave of cults. But in the end, Miraak would show up and dragon shout their will to be his bidding. Though Connor would resist this as much as he can and while his soldiers were becoming mindless, he would raise his pistol and fire as much as he can at Miraak and his men. Miraak himself would stab Connor, who would reunite with his wife in Sovngarde. Miraak would give the pistol to his right hand man as a token of gratitude. Elsewhere, rebels and their families crossed the border into neighboring countries and the wilderness.

  46. Hey all, just a small but significant update. First, the Military Action Point cost of Fortify has been increased from 3 to 4. This is just a minor tweak to balance the war mechanics and reduce the ability of nations to Fortify endlessly, preventing the war from being ended through conventional means (bringing resistance down to 0.) I hadn't considered the impact this would have on on-going wars, so I will postpone this bit of the update by 3 days. In 3 days, Fortify will cost 4 MAPs, not 3, so plan accordingly. The infrastructure price change has gone into effect already. Second, I've changed the infrastructure price formula slightly so that for 99% of nations, infrastructure will be cheaper. The price decrease is more significant at the lower levels, and at the higher levels is not much of a change at all. The new formula for infrastructure price at a given level is: [((X-10)^2.2) / 710] + 300 Here's a quick spreadsheet screenshot of how this impact changes both the infrastructure price and cumulative price at various levels This change should make both building infrastructure as a new nation and rebuilding infrastructure a little bit easier. In the grand scheme of things, however, I don't think it will be too significant of a change. That's all for now, let me know how much you love/hate this update
