  1. Split ground attack types similar to airstrikes. 1. Assault Enemy Positions Would be the dogfight analogue. Either nerf all other types or give this one a bonus to fighting ground forces. 2. Scorched Earth Tactics Does more infra damage than all other types. Maybe buff improvement destruction chance so it's comparable to naval attacking. 3. Loot Steal cash as ground attacks do currently. Remove stealing cash from all other types. 4. Raid Enemy Airfields Ground analogue of target x airstrike. Would destroy enemy planes on the ground.

  2. After months of fruitless effort, a great truth was uncovered. The descendants of the great elephants of yore, used by Hannibal to bring Rome to its knees and thought lost to time, had finally been found. Though the leader of this great commonwealth was hesitant, locked in his love for Rome, eventually he saw the light. For the future, much as the past, was purple, giant and oddly endearing. The future was bloody great Purple Elephants Articles: Article I - Non Aggression There are enough people in the world who want to pillage, raze and salt good land. The signatories agree to use their salt for other purposes and other people. If some accidental salting does occur, diplomatic channels will be used to clear up the mess. Article II - Mutual Defense In the event that someone decides to begin poaching the booming population of purple elephants, the signatories agree to release their inner David Attenborough and intervene militarily, politically and, if they desire, economically in the collective defense of the aforementioned elephants. Article III - Optional Aggression Sometimes in life, you just want to ride an elephant across the alps together and export salt directly to the fields of someone else. Consequently, the signatories reserve the right to join each other in offensive operations. Article IV - Intelligence Sharing Dead civilisations hold hidden secrets, so if either of the signatories find prophecies of doom in their respective archeological digs, they agree to share them with the other party. Article V - Non-Chaining Once again, since one of the both parties condemn slavery, the signatories agree that elephants should not be chained without their consent (some like it more than others). If an attack upon a signatory is as a result of third-party obligations, Article II of this treaty should be considered optional. Article VI - Cancellation Much like certain ancient civilisations and their more questionable contracts, some treaties must come to an end. The signatories agree to provide 72 hours notice prior to cancellation, so hatches can be battened, salt supplies divided. During this period, the treaty will still be in effect. Signatories: Carthago: Suffet: El Chach Elder: Asierith Elder: Daveth Elder: Krampus Elder: Antonio The Commonwealth: Prime Minister: Sphinx Chief of Staff: Purplemoon/Yui Minister of Finance: Christian Dahl Minister of Foreign Affairs: Purplemoon/Yui Minister of Internal Affairs: Lionstar Marshal of The Commonwealth: RightHonorable Minister of Machines: Haris Minister of Growth: Skepta Deputy Ministers of Finance: Edgeworth, LukeTP, Putmir Vladin Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs: Aesir Deputy Ministers of Defense: Pericles, Reuben, Lee II Deputy Minister of Machines: Malleator Deputy Minister of Growth: Dillon I Advisors: Anti-Social Evil Bastard: Who Me Drunk Alex Jones: Kalev60 Minion Aficionado: Julian Rederic Gray Chief Viking: Sven Shieldmaker Caudillismo y Dictadura: Don Juan TL:DR Carthago and the Commonwealth sign and MDoAP

  4. 4 types of abilities: -Attacker, the effect of ground control on this player is reduced to 30% and the effect of air superiority on this player is reduced to 45% so can use a bit more planes and tanks if affected by ground or air control -Defender, always fortified at the start of the war -Destroyer, reduces the chances of VDS to 10% and ID to 30% so more chances to hit with nukes and missiles -Strategic, quick and dirty spy operations have the same effect of extremely covert The alliance leader or high gov can set these abilities and change them every 7 days Max of 20 players can recive these abilities (5 attacker, 5 defender, 5 destroyer, 5 strategic) Enemy alliances can spy the players to see wich players have the abilities Abilities only work if you have your alliance color

  7. Okay seeing as the post you quoted was somehow invisible to you. I'll give an example: Meerkat Empire has 120 Nations. They are planning to go to war with Lion Kingdom who has 20 Nations. Meerkat Empire splits into 6 alliances of 20 Nations so that all 120 Nations will get the bonus.

  8. Exactly, multiple versions of TEst rolled GPA/Old School Pantheon/TCW over a dozen times (Including your own TEst version a couple times. You first attacked me personally in Silent War ;p), so what better alliance for us to work with than the newest version of an alliance who knows us well. I picked the GPA flag purely for memes, but in terms of shared alliance history, TEst was probably one of the biggest reasons outside the alliance itself for our resilience in surviving bad rollings. Since when it happens so many times you're just better equipped to deal with it when next one happens. Boyce himself use to raid us in Pantheon numerous times, so he too has a long storied history with us, So we're looking forward to working together and fighting together in the future.

  9. I carried the torch for the likes of @Phiney @ELPINCHAZO and @Jodo . TEst was long before I came around and am happy to see it continuing today. Seeing former neutrals break away from the “easier” path and start a new war front and sign with an alliance that was historically neutral killers is poetic in a sense. Meanwhile here I am, a filthy neutral.

  17. Instead of trading resources for just cash we should be able to trade one resource for another at current PPU ex. Trade bauxite for aluminum. Iron for steel.

  18. I find it amusing that you see giving viability to ground units as unbalanced, while the current meta of only planes matter perfectly fine. >Downvotes Popular mechanics are not always good mechanics. The reverse also holds true.

  19. This war has been a journey of personal growth for me. I learned that I don't necessarily hate the people I thought I did. But I *did* get a whole slew of new people to hate. To think if I go back to hating the people I used to hate in addition to the new ones? It will be glorious.

  20. If you go by word count it’s only a third of the name of the game. If you go by letter count it’s only about 21% of the game. More NPO spin. Math prevails. o/ math.

  22. Thanks for your input. I agree, while I think the point warning system is still very flawed, I wouldn’t really mind if it was given for the correct reason, This is the other post however, and I think it clearly fits the theme others brought up of trying to directly add to the discussion and still getting punished

  28. Furthermore, now that we are looking at the data, it seems obvious that at least 3 nations have abused baseball using bots. In the 1,998 days the game has existed, these nations have each played around 1,000,000 games of baseball. That's, on average, ~500 games / day (a lot to do manually.) Realistically, they did not play 500 everyday, and must have had periods of playing more games at one time. But, these baseball teams haven't been around since the beginning of the game. The top revenue generating team (~$14.5 billion in-game) has only been around for 947 days. That's averaging 1,040 games per day. Has someone really dedicated hours every day for the past 3 years to playing baseball? Yes, that was a mistake - billions, not trillions. However, Blighty and Who Me have generated enourmous amounts of money playing baseball and very likely ran bots. Also birdsonwheels5, although they got less money out of it. See my above post.

  29. We were told we could not make any counter offers. You are correct to say we attempted to negotiate, and you are correct when you say that IQ leadership was unwilling to budge from their terms as they said it was "non-negotiable" and "hard numbers"

  30. It would seem your thinking is wrong! We tried to negotiate and were told the monetary terms were non-negotiable and that the numbers set were hard set! Thank you for your concern!

  31. I merely pointed out that we've dropped IQ below 50% planes! The rest is up for your interpretation! As for peace/(or) surrender, we would still very much like it if IQ leaders would allow the peace process to happen! Thank you for your concern!

  32. The basic principle of this game is that, aside from a basic activity requirement, clicking buttons does not provide any additional mechanical benefit. Money, resources, and military action points are generated in this game at set intervals. The only way to get ahead of other players is by better planning (optimizing builds), or exploiting the community (trade speculation/arbitrage or raiding/warfare). Baseball flies in the face of every other mechanic in the game that you can just click buttons and magic money into the game. @Alex grow a spine and fix your game.

  33. no don't touch baseball. i spent $90 on this game, not for baseball to be nerfed. You can play baseball too so your 'most are at a disadvantage' approach doesnt seem logical

  34. I mean aren't you one of those players than joins micros, manipulates yourself to a gov position and then steals their banks? I really don't think anyone of your stature and reputation has any right to try to reprimand other alliances when I'm sure you've done far worse to allies and acquaintances alike. You are near as scummy as players get in this game from an IC perspective.

  35. I think his problem is the 6000 score with only cities and infra, there's no one he can hit that high But I agree, starting everything and then don't being part of the war isn't nice
    1 point
  36. Hi, I'd like to suggest adding an option to select which cities you want the mass infrastructure to be applied instead of applying it to every city. Maybe something like in the picture below would be great. @Alex, also, just to put it out there, is there a reason why there is no mass land purchase?

  37. The current state of the game is definitely an interesting topic to discuss and I am glad a thread was made where it can civilly be done without going seriously off-topic from the OP or It getting to hostile for my taste. Anyway, for the most part the state of the game is in a weird spot. Not just because of all the global wars, but people just not really being able to feel like they can speak freely anymore. There is a lot of feeling even within the coalitions that if they speak out they are gonna be ridiculed or shut down. Or even for those people who wanna leave and explore the world there's the fear of either perma-roll or denial based on previous relationships held. This is a feeling from BOTH sides. I've seen it, I've talked to people about it and gotten these exact feelings from them. When I came back to the game late October I had no idea what was going on. Even then, until I really became Head of FA for Polaris again is really when I actually was able to draw my own conclusion on things. Are there things I dont agree with how they went? Yes. Are there things that I agree with from my side. For sure. And I have no problem saying both of those things. I was not a quiet one when I was brought into servers. Wasn't my job to be quiet. I didn't have that fear of being unable to speak openly, though sometimes Im sure there are times where some would like me to be quiet :P. The relationships I have come to have in this short amount of time are fantastic, and they are on both sides of this war. I cant count the amount of times people have told me that they dont know why I am on the side Im on. Not being here for the beginning of the war myself, I can't tell you how things would have panned out. But I am not upset or sad nor do I regret doing the things that I have done on the side im on. I am happy. These people I fought alongside aren't angels.. but they're not demons either. I think some things have gone to far to be repaired though, in some cases atleast. And it is truly sad that this is the case. But, don't look to things to make them worse. I'd like to push for 2020 to be a year where despite anything that has already happened we can kinda all start over abit. Push forward in a new year to try and be better than we were in 2019. Maybe people like Sphinx can try to leak alittle less(Kappa) or someone like me can be alittle more Vocal in what I want rather than just arguing the points when presented to me. All in all, we all started playing this game for a reason, no matter what that reason maybe, don't forget it. After all, this is still just a game. At the end of the day, if you really didnt want to play it you wouldn't, so the fact that everything that is going on is going on and you're still here, means that deep down you are willing to see what happens after all of this settles. And I look forward to that day aswell :). I apologize for this post, I'm sure someone started reading this and got halfway through it and stopped after saying "what the frick is he on about". Truth is its 2:40AM my time and I am tired but I wanted to use this post as a way to say, thank you for playing this game, and even if it very fricked up right now. It wont always be this way and I look forward to seeing how everything turns out to look during eventual peace time :).

  39. I took a 5-6 month break because the war was boring, but I've been fighting again since New Year's Eve. I'm happy j did, because I find the style of warfare very kicked back and relaxed. I'm doing damage efficiently with minimal actual playtime. Outside of the mechanics, I've enjoyed watching all the drama lately. I'm a drama hog and I just love to be a witness to a good trainwreck (even in real life)! I also agree with the OP on being in a good group of people. I love KT and the people in it. I can't imagine myself in any other alliance.

  44. Mind you, this would be in conjunction with a number of other changes to the war system I have in mind: Assuming beige is removed from the game, I don't see why a nation couldn't "surrender" in any active war and have it automatically finish the war as if they lost (do the % infra damage and loot.) I suppose it might be an issue if you transferred all your money/rss away and then did a "surrender" and then received them back, but presuming there was some way to prevent that I don't have a problem with giving nations the option to end a war they expect to lose early. I know that's not what you proposed, but I want to add it to the discussion. Part of what I have in mind for changing the war system would be 1/3 rebuilds daily on all military units (not missiles/nukes/spies) such that rebuilding to 2/3 of your total military force is possible in any given double-buy. I think that eliminates the problem with needing time to rebuild and not getting it without beige.

  46. Except it's not obvious and you thinking that is the result of pre-existing bias. If you are to have any serious discussion on the topic you need to at least be able to pretend or consider that both good and bad things have been done in the name of both Communism and Capitalism, as opposed to the infantile notion that "all X is Y". You just showed that you can't even define the aspects of Communism correctly. It's not a top down management style, Communism seeks to establish a flat structure without hierarchies and if they're not trying to establish that, it's not Communism. Why you think anyone would take you seriously when it's clear you refuse to acknowledge the facts of these ideologies is beyond me. What is really wilful ignorance, as I mentioned above, is your refusal to even consider that what you believe to be so obvious to everyone actually isn't the truth. Frankly, if this is what you have to contribute (if you can even call it a contribution), you are better left ignored until you start getting serious.
