We here at the Knights Templar are proud. We are proud of our skill, of our piety, and of our service to the community. For example, we have recently aided two blocs - Oasis and Rosesphere - in helping them refine their strategies against raiders. As the work of the Lord never stops, we dispatched scouts to search the region for other people we may aid. So, imagine our surprise when we came across the lands of Alpha and Polaris! Who are they? This was a curious discovery for our scouts. As our scribes search the archives, we eventually discovered records of their existence. The logs eventually stopped, so we had assumed they were gone! Even our leaders were surprised that they were still around! Turns out, they had just not done anything worth writing down. In our desire to serve the Lord by serving the wider P&W community, we are displeased with this! How can these two communities, with roots going back to even before P&W, be so inactive and quiet that we just assumed they were disbanded? This cannot stand! In order to put Polaris and Alpha back into the minds of Orbisans everywhere, KT hereby declares war on them! May a wiki article featuring them be created! tldr: KT decs Alpha and Polaris29 points

After KT visited my nation, I've never felt better! Have fun out there, it's a 5-star service for sure - after stretching those muscles and shedding some of that excess infra, you'll feel brand new!9 points

Have fun in the Alpha-KT peace negotiations. And thank you KT for attacking so many alliances I don't really like WTF and Alpha.4 points

Isn't it fun having useless paper that yields you nothing, yet you need to defend instead of continuing to grow? Have fun, @CoA.4 points

Tbh I thought Alpha disbanded in 2019. Could have sworn I saw post about that... As for Polaris, only guy that is active in that alliance is Bonnaroo.4 points

At risk of ridicule from a few who know me for saying this (which imo says a lot about the state of things recently really), as someone who prefers to remain a neutral party and who has made these jokes before and paid the price, it's really obvious this is a horrible look for a server to have lmfao.3 points

There's a difference. Arrgh raids useless nations. KT performs a public service to the community by ridding useless alliances of their infra and resources.2 points

While our methods may look similar, we both have always had our own place in Orbis.2 points

You can literally move your nation. Realism is not a thing and I doubt you'll be able to convince people to support any changes based on it. If you want to convince people to support your change you have to explain how it will improve the game play. What will it add to it? How will it make the game more enjoyable to play?2 points

I got all excited when i saw you write "I'm hated". I was thinking holy crap has our little Firwof finally gotten a little self awareness. Unfortunately I kept reading and the answer is still no, but this was a big first step, I cant wait to see your continued growth.2 points

Any good/serious alliance in this game requires the use of discord. Any alliance that doesn't usually isn't very good or 'serious.'1 point
-
Good alliances, and alliances which don't require Discord don't exist. Discord is the primary form of communication on this game. Even TKR which requires the use of Slack still has a Discord.1 point

Guys I just thought of a "fair" queuing system for Knights Templar slots. Bidding, top 3 bidders get the warslot and all proceedings goes to me.1 point

Man Firwolf, talk about 1 step forward and 2 steps back. You think we could come together because opposites attract. I gotta say this thread reads like fiction and not a natural fact. The way its going we wont be coming together because these opposites do not attract.1 point

The way military works is everyone is limited to a set military/city. Without such a limit, people could just spam militaries and it becomes as good as Richest=Strongest or Biggest=Strongest And believe me when I say Tanks are one of the strongest units in game, particularly because they can kill planes, soldiers and tanks in a single hit. This however is kind of balanced by how fast they die during ground battles.1 point

lmfao are you kidding me? I'm only saying this because I have some people I deeply care about and would prefer to make the world a better place for their sake. I am all for free speech and everyone is entitled to their own expressions and opinions but that doesn't mean I shouldn't make it a goal to change any of them. Whatever Changeup or whoever said is none of my business because that doesn't justify the use of (or defense of) these kinds of off-color jokes.1 point

Here you go, top 86 alliances, I dont know why this killed you to do... to do the next 36 took me like 25 mins. I removed the others from the count, because they dont matter. Side note: I had no idea there was a shitty micro sphere. Good for those little guys. Double Side Note: Oasis, Quack, is there anyone you wont send a treaty to? DAMN GINA...1 point

This forum is for making suggestions to improve the game. I am saying that your suggestion does not improve the game, it fundamentally changes it and creates and entirely different game without giving sufficient justification as to why it should be done.1 point

The game is currently build around the fact that the only thing your position the map means is what resources you have access to. You can currently instantly attack anywhere in the world. You can currently instantly trade with someone anywhere in the world. You can currently instantly play baseball against a team anywhere in the world. Making the position of a nation matter isn't adding depth, it is making a new game.1 point

Whats the point? besides making missiles less useful? Why go continental? We all have a spot on the map, why not make missile range like 2.5k miles, and then make a project that can increase the range of missiles.1 point

Yes, probably the longest awaited addition ever, is finally coming to a head. I've come up with a draft proposal for how I'd like to see Nation Perks implemented, but I'd like to run it through the mill of feedback to get an idea for potential modifications. The basics of nation perks would be that there are 20 available perks, separated into 5 categories in tree formation. That means that you start with the first perk in the category to unlock the next perk, etc. This keeps everyone from just grabbing the best perks from each category, and forces nations to specialize and be unique. You would not be locked into your perk choice forever, there will be a fee (in resources) to reset your perks that would increase based on your nation score. So, theoretically, in war time you could change your perks to wartime perks, but that would hurt you in peace time, and it would cost a lot to change back and forth frequently. As you became a larger nation, it would be more expensive to change perks and the scaling costs would keep things fair for nations of all sizes. With 20 total perks, my initial thought is that nations should get to choose 8. I think that's a fair balance and will force some tough decisions, while still offering a bit of flexibility in how you choose your perks. Here is a list of the perks I have come up with (using a lot of the suggestions from old perk threads) These are not necessarily set in stone, but don't think I'm going to accept any wild or outrageous perk ideas either. I'm thinking a fair cost for resetting your perks would be your nation score * 2 (rounded up to the nearest whole number) in raw resources (Coal, Oil, Uranium, Bauxite, Iron, Lead). This will help create more demand for these resources, and keep people from changing perks willy-nilly. Now, with the perks I have laid out in mind, I'd also like to see which perks you'd choose. If, as part of your replies, you'd lay out which perks you'd take for your particular play-style, that'd be a great indicator of which of these categories are OP and which are underpowered. For example on how you'd do this: Thanks! I'm awaiting your feedback, which I'm hoping will be mostly positive and not the usual "this is a terrible suggestion, you're destroying the game" cynicism1 point

Ι disagree. In corporate terms, you make a distinction between the brand (fluff) and the mission/vision/culture of a company. It's the same here. @Rockefeller since you want a discussion, I would add a fourth element which may make you roll your eyes: infrastructure & operations. Manuals, bots, clear-cut documents describing operations (I am not talking just about "guides", but also about logistics related documentation) is of great importance. In some cases, a strong baseline in that field may cover constant changes (or lack of) leadership.1 point

Instead of the recaptcha thingy, I suggest we have a math problem verification for every attack we do and every trade we do. Also a bonus random calculus word problem for stashing money and buying military. It could even be themed like for ground attacks it could be. "If Lord Sammy has 150k soldiers and builds 55k for 3 days. How many soldiers does he have in all?" The bonus calculus word problem should take like 10-15 minutes. And it can be on a variety of I game things. Such as "If you're alliance score is a function of the total gdp of every nation in the alliance and it doubles every three days, what would be it's score on Wednesday March 13th 2022 at 3:28 pm EST?" If you don’t get right it'll just regenerate another word problem.1 point

Nazis are bad because they embrace and embody extreme fascist behaviors, such as (but not limited to) endorsing the degradation and annihilation of any creed but their own. Ironically enough, that means that your "with my extremist views or else literal !@#$" is a very fascist stance you've got there. I would suggest you back away from fascism, but you do you ¯\_(ツ)_/¯1 point

There's something new we can learn every day. @Dwight k Schrute next time you make an alliance just call the teft "collective war chest".1 point

IIRC Rapmanej dragged out a now 10 year old audio recording regarding another game while Roquentin was having an adverse reaction to drugs prescribed by his doctor and Rapmanej edited it out of context, so yeah. Otherwise, won't comment on this anymore.1 point

Roq and IC/Az had issues when they were Umbrella/MK(?) iirc. At least I think that's what he's getting at. I don't know the full story/details.1 point

Since this is a 'clarification' on kt, I'd be interested to know which categories we all fit into. Namely, am I a sycophant (if so for who), a basement troll, an edgelord or a common garden troll? What I think happened is that I left TI because I wanted a change of scenery, joined kt and enjoyed it, and I'd rather my time not be spent countering for people because there are people in this game who cannot accept that others have differing opinions to them. I will though, if that's what I need to do, but really if we could all act like we're above the minimum age to play then that would be preferable. In short: KT not all nazis, don't attack kt because I want city 29.1 point
