Fark hereby declares war against Apeman. After just a few turns of being without an alliance, fark raiders have seen a juicy target in Resistance. They jump at the chance to raid a 35 city broke ass nation with alot of nukes. Apeman quickly responded with some aggressive movements in an effort to give Fark a fighting chance. Apeman will only accept peace if Fark ponies up 100 million per war declared on the great ape. I was initially outraged by the declaration because I thought fark were my homies. Turns out all my cool peeps moved on. Looking forward to getting to know the Fark that is now. For fraggle

February 22nd… Rumours about strange fissures of an unknown source spotted in major cities and landmarks across the world have reached me. Apparently, individuals that have gone near the fissures report a strange familial feeling but nothing else of interest. Some people noted to have been affected are Luviel, HorusLoyalist and Gabe. February 25th… People who previously reported a feeling near the fissures have started to report visions and dreams of another existence. These people have relayed to me that it is called the “Origin System”. In their dreams, they see beings of supernatural powers operating with a ferocious ability to take on their foes. They have also heard a welcoming figure calling to them with a soothing, motherly voice. The Lotus, they claim, is the one behind the voices; calling them Tenno. They also mention that they overheard in their visions that the strange energy source was the Void, a mysterious but powerful energy source. February 28th… People being studied who have experienced the visions have now suddenly stopped receiving them. In their place, they’re able to become the beings that they once observed. The Lotus, they mentioned, calls them Warframes. These Warframes have different abilities that have been caught on camera. There have also been recorded discussions detailing the process of transforming into the Warframe, they call this process transference. These new abilities have caused panic to ensue across the nations affected by the fissure, which only occurred a few days ago, as these people unexpectedly perform transference. February 29th… Reports that Luviel, HorusLoyalist, and Gabe have had an emergency meeting to discuss the situation in their nations have cropped up. Each seemingly already showing skill in commanding their Warframes in their day to day life. They agree to form an alliance to unify the people of Orbis affected by the Void Fissures. Thus, The Void Touched is founded, and they supposedly prepare the hunt for their fellow Tenno. During the meeting, they also establish The Tenno Way, which according to these reports, is to guide them on their search for worthy Tenno. April 24th… They proclaim to have begun the search in earnest for those willing to become Tenno. It would appear that the Council has mastered the use of the Void to send messages out to prospective Tenno as many start to join. Among the first to arrive is Aaroneus, and they take a seat on the Council and help set plans to help new Tenno grow in their abilities. June 5th... In the months following, The Void Touched gather all known to be affected by the Void and welcome Dabigbluewhale to the Council as the Council trains new Tenno. Feeling ready they claim, The Void Touched officially declares its existence to Orbis. The complete lack of self awareness in this statement is staggering.

Forgiven? Sure, eventually. Forgotten, never. Never forget history, it helps recognize, and prevent, it repeating itself. The problem isn't those who supported Col B during the war (see: OWR & CTO or even Acadia), it's those that continue to support them unapologetically or provide half-baked apologies with contradictions being revealed shortly thereafter. Who did what in that war is relevant today because we're still seeing the effects, people lost friends, alliances disbanded (their communities dissolved with it), etc. It comes off to me as insensitive to tell those affected to simply let it go and move on. A war based on revenge? Probably not good for the game, though an understandable desire. Personally, I would like to see some community dealt justice; it is awfully hard to forget that power trip Camelot had when IQ was backing them or that UPN was proactively stalling any peace from occurring meanwhile people were leaving the game in droves. tl;dr Forgiveness doesn't happen like magic, some people are understandably riled up and want something more than an apology, and many others are justifiably skeptical yet still trying to forgive, some will never forgive, and their forgiveness is not owed.

But that's not precisely what's going on here, is it? The issue here is that in a single thread Camelot are apologising. Then they were trying to play themselves off as another victim of IQ. Then in the next breath giving the distinct impression that they are not sorry at all, but just looking to be let off the hook. Consistency isn't really a special demand.

I had a lot more patience and sympathy for you when I thought you were 12 and not, in fact, 17. I mean this comment not as a way to silence you, but I think, as someone who has stated they have mental health issues, you should step away from the forums for a bit. I think your investment here is only going to exacerbate any struggles you are experiencing IRL. You are a naturally contradictory and impulsive character. Personally, it seems pretty clear he is using white in a derogatory way. While the other context is missing, and cannot be proven unless said in game, the way the embargo is written suggests some kind of problem/stereotype with being white. That’s my perception, at least. Edit: If this is breaking NDR, apologies, I figured you meant have a discussion here, but probably not.

Dear Buck, If you truly believe what you said was trolling, you should accept the fact that your intent is irrelevant. You don't get to make racist comments then go "oh lol I was just kidding guys." It is the very thing you accused Harry of: insensitive to the current events and unacceptable. As for people harassing you, I do believe anyone can embargo anyone in this game for any reason (so long as the in game reason doesn't violate the rules). That doesn't constitute harassment. Harassment would be more along the lines of if these individuals insulted, yelled, or threatened you. The only threatening I've seen came from you toward Harry. Responding to a message (I.E. what Alexio did) does not equal harassment. Furthermore, there is a block feature in the game. If he was bothering you, you could have easily utilized this rather than make a, as you call it, fake report of harassment. Additionally, making wild accusations and assumptions about people whom you know nothing about is the definition of prejudice: "preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience." My free advice to you today is to log off and take a break. You are clearly escalated and not behaving in a rational manner befitting a member of this community. I would like to point out that due to the racial connotations of the phrase "Mighty white of you" which originated in the Southern United States in the 20th century, it is used ironically when it is used. The phrase "Play the white man" which comes from Britain is a play on the American phrase, it too has been used in racist ways. I grew up in Ireland and Great Britain and live in the Southern US and have heard both phrases used, I have never heard it used in the manner in which Buck is trying to say he used it. Furthermore, why would you use an embargo which is a thing you do when you disagree with someone and use this phrase? That only exacerbates the point that Harry has made that it was used in a negative way. It should also be noted that the US version of the phrase has been noted to have been used seriously in the context of "like a white man, not like a n****" I would also point out that it's common for white to be capitalized to "White" when it's being used in a racial connotation (you can see in Buck's posts that he has in fact capitalized the word white, the expression he is trying to argue for however does not have white capitalized). Ignorance of something being racist does not excuse it from being a racist statement.

Can we just outright ban Buck? He keeps causing issues like this and is in constant trouble with admins/mods and has now racially attacked several members of the community. I'm not sure why he's still in the game at this point and it makes no sense that rampant harassment and racial attacks against members of this community are allowed to exist here. The evidence speaks for itself.

I think it's pretty self-explanatory. I remember playing this game years ago and the fact that it still has no blacklist and that names are taken out manually by Sheepy is infuriating. There are achievements for putting "cat" in a leader or nation name, why can't there be a list of names that are not allowed to be input?

As Mr. Goober pointed out, I don't think this would be tolerated if the word 'black' was used instead of 'white'. If someone said 'thats very black of you' in response to something in-game, I think they would be punished if it was reported (and rightly so).

The most logical thing I see here is to just remove anyone mentioning skin colour. Problem solved. Otherwise there is always going to be a lot of a grey area in regards to these matters and it's pretty hard to appease both sides.

Ah the old IC/OOC divide. It is indeed difficult to discern at times. I'm certainly not an old hand in online communities such as this, but it seems some like to bring the IC/OOC element into any discussion, very occasionally as a valid response, but mostly as some sort of reverse Ad Hominem or straw man argument. In my view, people who break the rules automatically are operating OOC - the rules of the game apply to all players and an IC bad-man antagonist operating within the rules of the game could be a much valued contributor. An IC lovable character breaking the rules (caveat being intent to cheat etc) is not an OOC good person (as far as can be determined by the average online punter anyway) and is not a valuable contributor to the game IMO. Goons springs to mind at this juncture. I had my reservations from the beginning from gut instinct, difficult to sustain in the face of a large portion of the game claiming they were all just IC and were playing within the rules (everyone tripping over themselves to jump on board the anti-nazism agenda not a bad thing in itself ofc), and that OOC they were all just great fun peeps. But there were clues to their true OOC character including IMO their using moderation as a weapon (rule breaking if proven), and the appearance of their mercy board. But what sealed the deal as to their true poisonous OOC character was their response when the coal B (not everyone I know) cheating scandal was exposed and their voluminous libelous claims against Alex out of pure spite. These actions remain unforgiven in my mind, but a non-issue because they're happily gone.

I took a culturally mutual phrase as it comes from the phrase you used and showed you that it it's not just a US/Canadian thing and that the phrase exists in multiple different phrasings in the world, since you wanted to brag about living and working in many different countries. Let's be honest with ourselves here, Harry did not mean moving to the white colour bloc to be a racist thing like you're taking it to be and instead you ran with this idea in your head instead of getting clarity. I know what's going on. I have been in several peaceful protests in my city since the murder of George Floyd. I also think that you're the one who initially invoked race into this. As, I was in the discussion with Harry when he brought up asking some high income nations/alliance to join the white colour bloc. You went baiting. Took a big swing and you're still staring at the fences while the ball is sitting in the catcher's mitt. I would suggest you educate yourself more before using outdated phrases that do in fact have racial connotations associated with them.

I understand humour and sarcasm pretty well, thank you...I also understand when people are using it as an excuse to get out of being called out for their shitty behaviour. I'm pissed off that we could've had a great discussion on police overreach and brutality, but instead the media and bad-faith actors had to take over the narrative and make it a race issue. I'll gladly give Camelot a chance. The moment I see any effort to actually reach out an apologise for all their historic wrongs and not immediately see another member backtrack from that position. As of yet we [OWR] haven't once been approached for the rule-breaking flag they wanted us to fly as part of peace terms. And unless I'm very much mistaken when Carthage brought up the issue of their flag, the apology amounted to, "Relax, it was just a joke." I'm going to assume there are many others they've not actually reached out to. Figure out how to apologise. Figure out how to stick to that apology. It's not difficult.
