We have come to an agreement to end Oblivion's war on Alpha. Oblivion has surrendered and all wars will conclude through natural ending or beige. It was a fun fight, a good challenge for our guys coming back and I'm proud to see how Alpha's fireteams performed vs. the growing and shrinking forces of Oblivion. Ockey, nice log dump bro. Really the worst part here is my horrible grammar. For the record, those terms were not the first version, not even a countered version, but ballpark terms as options since he he refused to pay even $1.00 of reps. These were options to avoid making his members pay for Ockey's war. Dealing with Ockey has made me long for the days of Partisan and the other tS Execs. Ockey's been repeatedly afk for days, sometimes over a week. Then in the days and weeks that pass he'd pop in to post something like this and then leave for another week or several days. When he was around he couldn't even say more than a few words. At one point he copy pasted several private messages I'd sent to Grumpy, right back to me like that were news, despite, you know...me being the person who sent them. Then another person from Oblivion started peace talks only to have Ockey later deny they had any power (after that person had offered up reps). Then it got so bad he started doing shit like this making me wonder if he was having an IRL breakdown or something: Through the entirety of what can be only generously called "peace talks" he acted like someone who was either in Elementary school or on something. His posts were barely legible and even with other people involved in the peace process he was still confused and obstinate. So the initial terms were quite a bit different, repay some of the damages done in the unprovoked attack/raid (pretty normal historically here for raids/aggressive wars lost) and surrender. These new terms represented a shift from that as a way to give this kid some options that might be easier for him. As Oblivion has disintegrated to 3 nations, not wanting to see them just disband because that would be a shame, we've presented them with many options and other than log dumping. He attacked and lost, it happens, no need to get all butthurt about it and cry in your room. Really the only reason to make someone admit "wrongdoing" (lol) in a game like this is because of his attitude. He's carried on like a child, so I'm sorta having to treat him like one. As an alliance that's been attacked and lost, been apart of coalition wars and won, as an alliance leader you have to put up with a lot of shit and if you aren't capable of doing basic peace talks, you shouldn't be the leader of an alliance. I've only really went into some parts of the fiasco that is Ockey and all the stunts he tried to pull.

We haven't really militarised either. Next time we'll just make angry faces I think.

Anyone who has known Placentica knows that he always puts himself up on a high horse - while being 'in the know' of this situation for some time, I always laugh when I see what Placentica is gonna say next, like damn bro, take the win and go home. Horrible, horrible times we live in.

Oh dear, I can already see all the posts accusing me of being butthurt about the last war. Currently, all units (except one) are vulnerable to something else: ships can be destroyed by ships and planes and ground forces can be destroyed by ground forces and planes, but planes can only be destroyed by other planes, which seems a tad ridiculous. I'm not saying that soldiers and ships become AA sharpshooters overnight, but is it possible to give AA capabilities to ground forces and ships? Granted, it would not be very effective (even IRL, the best defense against a horde of planes is your own horde of planes) but sending 100 planes against like 100 ships and only the ships taking damage is a bit ridiculous. And before someone points out that ground forces can loot and ships can blockade but planes can't do anything, I'm fairly certain that planes are already the heavy hitting unit as is. They do far more damage than most other units.

Thanks again man. The loot in these stats played a key role in peace talks, that was probably what pushed it fastest. Plus I supposed Ockey's childishness had some effect on my patience for what is a (lolfun) game. We had looted about all we could and because of their disintegrating member-base, there wasn't much left and I didn't want to see them disband which I felt was going to happen within a day or so.

Not a bad idea actually. Instead of making it a dedicated unit though, maybe group it with tanks? That way players will still be working with the same 500 tanks per factory, but will have to balance the number of AA guns and tanks they have. As you said, they would be weak against ground, and would not be very effective to not make planes a non-factor in wars.

I don't think you realize how cheap this is to a lot of players. I make more than enough money to buy 10 of these a week at the current resource prices. IMO, Cobalt Thorium G Bomb would be a better name, but that's just me.

We beat a few others who launched raids, and then there was Octoberfest. I'd consider the bored war a V too since Alpha wrecked half the other coalitions shit. Eve. Though half ours was wrecked. It forced a draw in the overall conflict

Sorry, Epi your alliance was just marvellous, I couldn't have anything negative to say about it, how dare I ? Well all good things have to come to an end, I deeply enjoyed working with @Ukunaka, @Ayo, @Fezza and even @Kosta (last man standing congrats Kosta), but I'm enjoying plying my trade elsewhere and getting a wholesome experience in the game, something you'd hold close to heart Epi with the places you've stopped by over your time. I don’t care much for the argument that Chaos bloc is ‘consolidation’, since it really isn’t as things are currently, but I am going to comment on the overall point that others tried to make in the thread. I noticed someone claiming above that the argument that ‘the web hasn’t stopped moving yet’ is a stupid argument because that never stops. While true out of context, and stretched over a longer period of time, the scenario that we’re currently discussion doesn’t fit those parameters. In the short term, you’ll see changes that will reflect the positions of the reflective FA of both alliances, and I - as someone who’s advocated against both NPO and t$ in the past - am personally excited having some awareness of where we’re headed. It’s entirely understandable to wish to criticise something that, admittedly, ‘looks bad’, but, sand man’s promise that just a bit of patience will change the way you see things soon
