  1. Hello boys and girls, today we're going to be investigating a dark side of the Orbis-verse, filled with all kinds of dark mysteries and scary propositions. Syndisphere periphery.. So here we have The Syndicate: A bold and beautiful alliance, no doubt. The only thing more green than their theme is their treaty screen. But! ..you might say.. This is nothing new? We always knew about the Syndicate's infatuation for protectorates. Ah! Well that's where.. you'd be wrong young adventurer. Here we have Dark Brotherhood, an alliance protected by the Syndicate. No doubt, another bold and beautiful alliance. Now our dear DB protects the Church of Atom. ...which is also protected by the Syndicate. So Syndicate has a protectorate which protects their protectorate. But wait.. You think we were done? The Church of Atom protects Alpha. So the Syndicate not only likes when their protectorates protect their protectorates, they also like when the protectorates protected by their protectorates which they protect, also have protectorates. But we're not even done yet... Alpha protects the Animal Farm ..Which is also protected by Church of Atom. So not only does the Syndicate like when the protectorates protected by their protectorates which they protect also have protectorates, they also like when the protectorates protected by their protectorates which they also protect have protectorates which have protectorates that they protect. Oh yeah.. and the protectorates protected by their protectorates which they also protect that have protectorates which have protectorates that they protect have a random MDoAP with TRF, just to make things more clear. if you listen into the distance you can clearly hear dying hyperventilating hippo sounds. So finally, this is what this rabbit hole looks like:

  2. You have no idea the kind of hell I'm going through right now. Just the other day, everything was fine at Manticore Bank. Simple arguments between me (Chairman of the Board) and the CEO, DustyDart, became more frequent until things blew up. Me and three of my most trusted associates, @Pheonix, @Johnny Costello, and slw122 determined an offer to send to Dusty. We wanted Manticore to buy us out (Together, we owned 40% of the bank). It was an offer we thought would be beneficial to all, and we could part ways peacefully. But Dusty decided he'd rather frick us up the ass and take our shares. Now, a bank I built from nothing to being worth $2.2 Billion is gone, my personal 15% stake in Manticore is gone, a loss of $1.5B at least. I'm finding all this pretty hard to write out, I just don't know how best to say this. DustyDart is criminal, he's an !@#$, and he should NEVER be trusted again. I really can't believe this happened. I'm quite upset, so this may be incoherent. I can answer any questions if y'all don't understand. Kind Regards, Impreza

  3. Now that I have your attention. I'm looking to do a little report on micro alliances in Politics & War - there is a political dynamic sweeping the world that I want to get your input on. If you're interested, hit me up on the ORB Discord and I'll get in touch with you - if you don't, you'll be subject to judgement which may not be necessarily correct. haha If you're not in a micro alliance and you comment on this post you're automatically gay.

  4. Well we need protectorates protecting our protectorates, so our protectorates can be protected protecting our protectorates. Would you like protection from a protectorate?

  5. I'd like to post an update on everything now that my mind is a little more clear. I'd like to make it very clear that I don't have anything against Dusty personally. I just don't think our goals or management styles aligned. I was deeply frustrated with him for not maintaining a strict adherence to the charter, and he was frustrated with me for not allowing him to do things as efficiently has he wanted when I believed it was not in accordance with the rules we agreed to govern ourselves by. So, some of the things I said in the OP were fueled by anger, and I am sorry for putting it like that. I am also deeply sorry to all of our shareholders who are fretting right now. Dusty is currently holding a vote among our shareholders whether to liquidate or continue. I am hoping that liquidation is the decided option, and that it can be done successfully, even if it takes a couple months. If you are a shareholder and you are reading this, please vote in favor of liquidating. It is the only way anything will be recovered in my opinion. Admittedly, I am doubtful that all of our clients will successfully repay their loans, as a result of the dire state of the bank. Yes, we also considered involving a third party to buy our debts and assets, but Dusty didn't think it was a good option and that was it. In other news, I have decided that I will be taking a break from banking for a while. It could be anywhere from a month to a year or two. As long as it takes for everyone to forget about this mess.

  7. The Knights Templar. Wheeew! Where to start... My first impression was a little rough. KT is a rowdy, abrasive, obnoxious group of degenerates. And I came to like them? Now, I won't claim to fully understand them. That would be a bold faced lie. No man can truly understand KT. What I will say is that I came to better understand them through hours of one-on-one conversation with members and banter in the channels to which we were granted access. The Knight's Templar has a sort of internal countercultural predisposition. They love memes, they reject political correctness within the walls of their community, and, in their own speshul way, work together really well. The initial culture shock was tempered by the realization that they are just letting it all hang out with their boys. To quote a former member, "society presses a sh*t ton of pressure on us to be moral and acceptable at all times." KT's community seeks to alleviate that pressure. While it would peel the hair back on most normies, they seem to have found a collection of kindred spirits. Their government is garba- competent af, they have a stellar war performance record, and they are in a good spot in regard to FA positioning. Their sphere has long been touted as a wildcard sphere and I believe that's a very valuable position. While the vibe didn't quite click for me or the rest of the Hobos, I had a Great! time here and I appreciate them showing us that winning Templar Hospitality! One knight sought to take the plunge into a life on the rails. TheRebelMan has donned his bindle and fallen in with our band of misfits - a spring in his step and a sword in his hand. Next stop: All aboard! Charlie Traveler

  8. The game can restrict treaties all it wants. We’d just go back to forum post and alliance page listings.

  9. The Knights Radiant is hardly in a position to diagnose bad diplomacy. The Church remains strong. So long as the great Roo chooses to roam Orbis, he will have the sanction, and blessing of the Church for his unwavering support in bringing us too the one true God Atom. Placentica is the great Pilgrim, and We are obligated to protect and provide, as he has done, and continues to do for us. Gloria pertinet ad Atom!

  10. Damn, TKR trying manufacture drama hot out of the gate. I see you boys, I see you. That resentment over the blasting must have been something fierce to start it off this early though. Fine by me. We can do better. Animal Farm is strong strapping alliance, I think they can take up a protectorate of their own.

  11. @Radoje let's coordinate protectorate agreements so we can draw a dick with the treaty chart

  12. This why they’re a scam. Another popular tactic I’ve seen is take investor’s money for shares and the founder giving themselves a bunch of shares without any money being put down. Of course when it’s liquidated a month later they still pay themselves out for their shares.

  15. Alright, first of all, who are you to make comments on my actions? Second of all, I declined all interviews on the matter for a reason, I'll thank you to leave me the hell out of the drama, I'm doing what I can to ensure shareholders get their money, and frankly idiots like you only fuel the fire that makes it harder to ensure shareholders are taken care of. If you wanna pass judgement, do it after people get their money back.

  20. This is going to be hard to write… It’s been around 200 days since I first started. Almost became a New Pacific Order member but was messaged by a member of the newly found alliance called United Hoods. The alliance grew some more and I became an officer, The Secretary of State to be exact. It was fun being able to talk to everybody and I was promoted to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Heir to the alliance. I wanted to stay that way since I didn’t like absolute power and I liked my leader enough. I’ve helped with treaties and keep foreign relations with other alliances. I thought I was a pretty decent representative. I tried to be the nicest I could to anyone unless provoked of course. I would say people liked me and respected me enough. ~Creed Mallory Six months ago my friend invited me to play this game. Having nothing better to do I decided to make an account. I wasn’t interested in all of the big alliances, I wanted to be in an alliance that was small enough so I could learn the basics of this game. I ended up joining The Mighty Atlantic, while it didn’t last long it was a home for me. I was the Economics Captain and the designer of our alliance. I felt really loved there. A few weeks after the downfall of TMA, some old members created another micro alliance called The Crimson Entente. In the Crimson, I felt like I could be a shining light in this dull community and I was for a while till things started to go down hill. I don’t mind if you bother me in-game but when it comes to personal life that’s where I draw the line. So I’ll be removing myself. To all the people who have supported and helped me I want to say thank you. ~Freya Recently, someone paid another individual to find personal information about me. They even went as far as to attack my girlfriend and threaten to release information on the forums if I didn’t send $50 Million to the Camelot bank. Yes. They threatened my personal life for in-game money. I’m not pointing fingers, and I truly don’t believe it was Camelot who did so. I don’t put the blame on them as I received help from people like Bill Rice and TheShadow and I respect them for that. I’m still going to investigate on who the slimy culprit is, but as of now, Freya and I will be leaving the game and removing ourselves from the community. I have zero tolerance for this kind of behavior. No game should go this deep as to personally threaten to harm someone, or even pay someone to. For that, I condemn whoever was behind this. I will still keep in contact with the friends I’ve made. They’ve been supportive of me my whole time playing the game and for me to just start out and help build an alliance to the Top 50? That’s an achievement in my book. I wish them well in building United Hoods even larger to...let’s say, Top 30. I hate to leave my position, I had an important job that got us out of a lot of scuffles and helped us make more friends. You’ll probably forget about me in the future, this whole thing might not even matter to a lot of you, but for the people that do care: Thank you. ~Creed Mallory MVPs (Creed Mallory): All of United Hoods (Past and Present Members) Skitzbro Xea Asierith Slw122 Imperial.RoughNeck ElBarto666 and Animation Domination Ukunaka and Empire of Moonlit Sakura JordyHamsVII Jane and The Revolutionary Front Epimetheus The $yndicate Tl;dr Freya and Creed Mallory are exiting the game due to a personal attack on us.

  21. That moment when you see NPO members competing with each other on the coal market, driving the purchase price up almost 300 points in less than a day... (No, I don't make steel.)

  22. Over the past couple days the knights Templar has been troubling the offbeat powers. It originally started whenever they told us to change our bloc color in which their request was ignored because it's obvious the only reason why they'd want us to do that is because they want bigger money bonus. Then, over the next day, they proceeded to perform espionage attacks against us we know this was an act of aggression, because we didn't move away from red bloc because they have declared war against people for that same reason, as seen in ones cassis bellis. Offbeat powers is taking this moment to acknowledge that we find this as a active aggression and will respond with a war if needed completely open to anybody that feels that they would like to join in. So much for removing kebab

  26. Dusty hasn't kept the former directors' assets. He did ignore the charter by "firing" them apparently, but not for seizing their assets. And there is no established "liquidation procedure" for him to ignore. He held a shareholder vote to determine whether or not to liquidate, and It seems he's given sphinx control of the bank after they voted to liquidate. There are lots of things to criticise about this debacle, but the handling of the actual dissolution isn't one of them imo.

  27. Considering the interest returns that most of these banks offer (2-3% a week)- if you're putting savings in any of them, and aren't either in an alliance with miserably poor raid protection, or passing 30 cities, I've got a bridge to sell ya.
