a Statment from Hansarius and the United Purple Nations

Given that tS is less then half the size of UPN with less then about a third of the members, I'm not sure how tS was a clear and present threat to UPN.

Edit:  Checked some stats, UPN has more score then SK, TeST, and tS combined.

This is TS's opportunity to turn over a new leaf and rescue their reputation.

Not to seem arrogant, but rescue our reputation from what? From my own anecdotal evidence most people seem to like t$. Few, if any, seem to hate us and it seems like many people like us a fair amount. I know that our alliances have gone through a rough patch in our relationship these last few months, but it seems like VE is harboring most of the ill-will towards the syndicate.

You may want to check your war screen.

Impero -- do you seriously think the VE is well-liked compared to tS?

It's telling that quite a few alliances in this game rolled you guys on a whim a few months ago. Even your allies didn't care at the time. Afterwards, you choose to ride the coattails of the new #1 with a MDP, begging for the scraps that you once held. It's rather sad, really.

I wish you guys were a better alliance, I really do, but you're just not. VE is nothing more than an over-inflated (both in score & ego) home for the inactives of this game.

I'll help Impero out with his reply here:

That's hilarious, and so are the days of our....erm, that's life. What's more- that a few Mensa members rather conveniently forget they're not too well liked here on Orbis either. The game became a Celebrity Apprentice-style popularity contest when exactly?

Time changes everything consistently, and the political scene changes just as frequently. As for getting rolled, shit man it's far more surprising anyone still uses that as a claim to fame. We've moved on and are focusing far more on the present and future. You should consider it too.

We worked hard for that "ego" you speak of too Syrup, putting the time, effort and ambition into turning VE into a pivotal player on the world stage within a mere two months after transitioning here. As for inactives, they're routinely kicked from the alliance. The jealousy of your closing sentence is telling as well!

Did I claim that MENSA was well liked? No. Frankly, we have no strong desire to be well-liked. If we were to be well-liked by the likes of VE or BoC, frankly we would be doing something drastically wrong.

The only reason I brought up the fact that VE is generally disliked is due to your massive ego combined with Impero's claim that tS wouldn't be getting rolled if they were more likable is laughable considering you guys were rolled a month or two ago for that exact same reason.

As far as "inactives are routinely kicked from the alliance", alright then, kick them:

@Impero

It's surprising that you'd forget how many alliances jumped at the chance of hitting VE during the last war, you seem to be pretty good at harboring grudges otherwise.

I fought with VE, Rose and all the rest against t$, Mensa, Guardian and SK during my first war in this game, and I used to have a good opinion of VE. But ever since then, you've done one hell of a job of tearing apart any shred of respect I (and many others) have held for you as an alliance. Some people might have a poor opinion of t$, but you guys aren't exactly winning any popularity contests either. I think it's a damn shame things ended up the way they are between our alliances, but I won't lose any sleep over it.

Good luck to everyone in the war, may all your warriors find their way to Valhalla.

The difference, Partisan, is one of honesty, forthrightness, and motive. We made our previous positions known to UPN and others, and exactly the reasons why those positions existed, and moved forward from there. You, on the other hand, continued to have the manipulation skills of a house plant. Peop

You're right. Partisan's honest, forthrightly motive was unfortunately no match for your better-than-houseplant manipulation skills.

Congratulations VE on this one. My most sincere regrets to UPN, but it is good to see you actually doing something.

Edit: Seriously, houseplants are some of the coolest people I know.

We aren't talking about top 10, we're talking about top 5.

EoS, UPN, and VoC were all top 5, BoC was like #9 or #10.

It doesn't matter where they were at this point in the game, as rankings in score were much closer in the beginning, so top 5 now is like top 10 then.

IMHO the CB and whole reasoning for this war seems to be on pretty shaky ground xD.

UPN attacks t$ for plotting to attack it three months ago, sounds good! (Wait. So they allied VE, who was also plotting to hit UPN?)

UPN attacks SK because it 'firmly believes' the #9 alliance will target them. (Thus this preemptive strike will save UPN from certain defeat later by an alliance a third of its size.)
And apparently, UPN attacks TEst, no reason given.

Can we just all admit that we were feeling kinda bored and douchey and we hadn't hit anyone in a while? I'm willing to accept that as a CB--it's certainly how I felt xD. Nevertheless, while the politics are weird, I still greatly admire the warriors of the Covenant; good luck to them. Give us your all, and don't hold back!

EDIT: PLS DON'T MISCONSTRUE, I LIKE THIS WAR. I WAS REALLY BORED although if there's another war in a month, it'll start to put a bit of a drain on me
