  1. Decided to make my appearance on the forums. I am going to regret this.

  2. After the way the last GW ended it doesnt surprise me that peace is lasting as long as it is. I'd say the war is unlikely to start until the global NAP expires.

  3. I don't think this has really been stated publicly yet, but we feel that as an alliance, it’s about time we came forward with this. This is going to be a rather long post, apologies ahead of time. Camelot has never held a reputation to be “jealous” of; we’ve been known to be one of the more “immature” alliances. Camelot was started from the ground up, by members that much of the game already disliked or shunned. Over time, we grew a niche under BK/IQ where we would essentially attack who they asked, but we also attacked on our own whims. BK protected us and as long as we did what they asked we had significant free reign, with negligible consequences. In GW14 we helped IQ initially, backed their storyline and defended them. They were our allies, and quite frankly, our only means of survival at that point in time. As the leader of Camelot, I feel it is time to apologize sincerely for the actions that I, my government, and any of my members took. Looking back, we should have recognized the red flags and taken a more stoic stance on ending the war earlier. For not doing that, and contributing to the irreparable harm that carrying on has caused many alliances and the community, I am truly sorry. PnW lost a lot of amazing people. The game lost a significant amount of players, but most importantly, community members. To those who have turned away from the game with no chance of return due to our actions, I apologize deeply. To the alliances that we had forced to fight for almost a year straight, I truly wish we could have ended that war earlier. However, I have the utmost respect for those who were able to keep their communities strong and stable throughout that. We owe the survival of this game and community to people like you and your members. To the alliances like North Point, who we screwed over and plotted against, I hope we can make it up to you and move forward. To those we are working with and have given us a second chance, I can’t find a way to put how grateful I am into words. When IQ left, they asked us to leave the game with them, but we refused. We did not expect at any point that our actions would ever be forgotten. Or that they would be forgiven overnight, instead we began changing our focus internally. We hope that if we can change ourselves for the better, everyone would recognize our effort and over time, we could heal the wounds created by our actions and forge a brighter path in the future. So once again I, and the entirety of Camelot, am truly sorry for those our actions have affected.

  4. This isn't really a farewell or goodbye but I'm gonna be taking a break from p and w. Recently my mental health has deteriorated because of a lot of factors. My life has become so monotonous over the last couple of months, logging in every day to a game that I don't really care about anymore hasn't been helping. I've tried various things to help make me feel better including "self medicating" but nothing has helped. I'm taking a break from life, I'm gonna try new things and in about a week I'm gonna decide on if I'm gonna keep playing or not. I'm gonna stop chatting in p and w servers for a while as well. I'm sorry to the people in my alliance and some of my friends for acting weirdly over the past while. I just didn't want to admit there was something wrong with me but that just made things even worse. I'm sorry guys I really was acting strange and negative. I'll hopefully be back soon and you guys will have the old Jamie/Alexsa back. Goodbye for now.

  5. If you don't mean it, just don't say it in the first place. If you were just joking, it was just a joke, so no apology needed. If you apologized, it was either not a joke, or you literally lost control of your mouth. The fact that you apologize makes me never want to deal with you again.

  7. Following a recent discussion regarding polls, I have decided to set up a poll to decide where Alex should post polls. I hope that the results of this poll, whatever they are, will inform actions going forward.

  8. Last night, I did something unjustifiable. In response to a forum post made by the leaders of GATO about a treaty they made with VT, I said many things that I shouldn't have. Jokes are jokes, but I crossed the line and then kept going for another mile. The things that I said were offensive, disrespectful and rude. In this letter, I wish only to apologize. I’m not going to sit here and try to sell you all some tale about how I wasn’t thinking or about how I meant something different when I made my comment. I’m not going to try and tell you all why you shouldn’t be angry at me for what I said because that anger is very much deserved. All I want to do is to try to right my wrongs. Firstly, I want to apologize to GATO and VT. Neither of you did anything to deserve the things that I chose to say to you. I should have been much nicer to you and encouraged you, instead of trying to ruin your experience for my amusement. I should’ve thought about your feelings before I started typing out my message. I was inconsiderate and disdainful. By choosing to say what I did, I stole the attention away from you and put it all on myself. For all of those things, I am very sorry. Secondly, I want to apologize to the other members of my alliance, Ignis Aternum. My actions have tarnished our alliance’s name for many months to come. You deserve to have a second-in-command who tries to help those around us, rather than one who makes selfish attempts to strike them down. The things that I chose to say and do last night are a perfect example of how you should not behave. I hope to be a better friend, leader and representative of our ideals in the future. Thirdly, I would like to apologize to our protectorate, Error 404. Through your association with Ignis Aternum, I have tarnished your name as well. You deserve to have allies who try to help you advance your goals, rather than who harm your ability to achieve those goals due to their selfishness. I hope that I can be a much better ally in the future. Finally, I want to apologize to the PnW community. I offended many of you by choosing to say the things that I did and for that, I am truly sorry. Many of you immediately stood up to me to make sure I knew that what I did was wrong. For that, I thank you. I was a bully and I deserved to be told off. In the future, I hope to be much nicer and more considerate of others, no matter the ranking of their nation or their alliance. Ultimately, it is just a game and those things don’t matter. We are all humans and we all deserve to be treated as such. The fact that we’re behind usernames and screens does not give anyone the right to spew vulgarities and rudeness. An apology is the first part of righting my wrongs, but taking action is the second. Upon posting this letter, I will be entering vacation mode for the next two weeks to give myself time to reflect upon my choices. I hope to determine if there was a deeper reason for why I chose to do and say the things that I did so that I correct it and avoid hurting more people in the future. When I return, I hope to be a much better friend and community member to all of you.

  9. There has been peace for far too long we need another dial up war, if you were a semi new or long term player and all you could do is snoop around a discord server for 1,000 days like a basement dweller would you get bored? Yes. It’s been politics & politics for forever for Christ sakes it’s like literally everyone is connected to another somehow... Why bother looking at treaties of alliances if you know they are balls deep in NaPs and Protectorates! It’s like an enormous ego stroking pixel hugging competition at this point... Anyways this was just a little rant I usually troll in the forums once every hundred days or so but I just felt it had to be said... For legal reasons I do not speak for the Terminus Est. alliance in any way with my statements this is simply just my thoughts. Thank you and good day From the Self proclaimed most aesthetically pleasing nation in politics and war! - BlackWaterCorporation

  10. W-what do you mean how long will it last??? It explicity says the NAP would be 6 months long?? Have you not read the wiki?? Have you not asked around?? Edit: typo Edit 2: I do enjoy war though as much as the next person, both of us being ex-TGH will lead to some trigger fingers but the game has to stabalize before any enjoyable war can be achieved

  12. I usually take a long break from the game every few months. You're right, it gets monotonous, and the quarantine isn't helping. We'll still be here whenever you get back. Take care 💛

  13. edited that. I guess you could call me a new nation. I'm 35 days old. But pixel hugging is indefinitely fun. The sheer thrill of building up your nation, and making them thick stacks for as long as you can is just intoxicating. besides, think about it. War eventually just ends up costing resources. If we look at Orbis as a whole, wars do not make more money. They simply transfer what money already exists, and destroy valuable infrastructure, and consume munitions, gasoline and food. Overall, war is one of the least profitable things for the Orbis economy.

  17. Making a dash to the docks, the two had finally boarded the final ship. With everyone aboard, they could finally depart. The last they saw of the Mt. Fuji district, and Japan as a whole, was the burning city of Fuji behind them as they set sail. It would take a few days to arrive in Hong Kong. During that time, the news would spread of the formation of the Human Alliance and Vampiria, soon to be joined by two more.

  21. With the existing ability to add a Declare War Message (warning) to AA member war declaration pages, it would be helpful to be able to add the same or a different message on the war declaration page for AA applicants. We only recently realized that this does not appear for nations currently on applicant status. Thanks!

  23. Willard and the governor began their dash toward the docks. Any vampires encountered along the way were cut down with a strike from Will's sword. After several minutes, they had finally arrived at the docks. Explosions could be heard all around them, coming from the remaining Britannian howitzers. In the same direction they fired, however, came counterstrikes from the witches' howitzers. They struck several points around the city of Fuji, some even close to the docks. One explosion went off in the water, dangerously close to the Britannian ships, causing the ships to slam into the side of the docks. Additionally, a sizeable wave crashed on shore, easily picking up those who were standing there and slamming some into small buildings. Among those swept off their feet were the governor, Willard, Krul, and Medusa. The wave was enough to interrupt their fight for the time being. As the governor and Will rose to their feet, Medusa did as well. She shifted her focus to the pair, dashing at them with murderous intent. "I won't let you escape!" Will took a stance, his sword at the ready. Suddenly, however, Medusa let out a scream and fell to her knees. She was clutching her right arm, which had just been severed by a surprise strike from Krul. Krul was prepared to finish off Medusa right there until her heightened sense of hearing noticed a loud rumble. It took a few extra moments for the others to hear it, finally noticing when the ground began to shake slightly. Medusa simply grinned, knowing exactly what was coming. Krul knew she should take the extra few moments she had to gather her forces and withdraw. After glancing over at the governor and Will, she turned her back and dashed away. At some point, Medusa's body had transformed into snakes and slithered away. Will pulled the governor by the arm. "We're out of time. We have to leave right now. Tell everyone to get aboard the ships. I believe the witches are finally sending in their aircraft..."

  24. That's a false dichotomy, friend. It is not merely possible, but in fact overwhelmingly common, for either a 'joke' or a sincere statement to require an apology afterwards. Whether it be due to a miscalculation in humor or an escalation of heated rhetoric, mistakes happen on a regular basis. People are in general, though not universally nor exclusively, people. That's why apologies were invented: so that people could explain that they'd made an error and fully intend to correct that error as best they can. This, therefore, is why forgiveness was invented: so that people wouldn't be eternally precluded from having any room to improve. Lest we forget, he physically could not "not say it in the first place" without a TARDIS, and the statement in question was bad enough to warrant an apology even if it had initially been intended as a joke, so you're not leaving him with any possible choices with your absolutist logic.

  30. How many Ignis sternum posts in alliance affairs does it take to create a valid cb? Because this is the third time you've baited me in with something that literally concerns nobody outside of your alliance.

  35. You know, when I heard people were shitting on a micro, I figured they were doing something dumb like "publicly announcing we're open to sign treaties" or "spamming Alliance Affairs with a million useless posts" or some shit like that. But, shitting on an O-level? Really? I mean yeah, I think they're useless too (because every alliance has the *option* to do whatever the frick they want) but really guys? This is just fricking stupid. Best of luck GATO. Judging by these people, you aren't the ones that need it.

  38. You're right, people like you are very full of their selfish ideas, only they care about and would only benefit them. Tell me again why something only you and a handful of other people, in the entire game would actually care about, should be added to a long list of far more necessary changes. Because nobody cares about leaderboards, and you can just learn to make a sheet to do it yourself.
    1 point
  39. Nobody actually competes for those. Nobody actually cares and almost nobody even knows who has the most kills of X at any given time, kr has eaten the most nukes, or anything but who has the most cities. Get in touch with reality for a change.

  40. No... not at all. What possible purpose does "economic strength" have, other than color bonus calculations and influence over proper, and much more important, military strength? Both of which would not be positively affected by this suggestion?
    1 point
  41. This is completely untrue, go learn the game before speaking nonsense in threads talking about mechanics that have very wide sweeping effects you clearly don't understand. It's not understanding these effects that cause updates like the recent one.
    1 point
  42. Except it's still pointless and not really useful for anything. Anyone so severely invested in the very nice one trick pony use of this can easily make a sheet to do the same thing, and just plug in an alliance ID to see. Or if ya make it real fancy it could even pull for several at once to compare. This straight up is not necessary and doesn't contribute anything of actual value.
