  1. A few weeks ago, in a surprising turn of events, a well known executive of the Multinational Corporation and humanitarian institution 'The $yndicate inc' announced his retirement. Partisan, known for his sneky shenanigans, predisposition for theatrics, and his ingenuity in navigating the business world, was a driving force of the $yndicate's Strategic Planning. His contributions too many to list, we at The $yndicate Corporation give our thanks to him for his service. In his place Hilmes will be taking the wheel as the Executive of Strategic Planning. I have large...socks to fill but I'll do my best to see a continued rise in The Syndicate's (NASDAQ:T$) value in the markets <3. Finally, in the corporate world there are times when business partners recognize that their joint venture has reached the end of it's viable life cycle, and that it is time to diversify their product lines. As of 12/23/2018 The Syndicate was no longer the parent company of long time subsidiary Afrika Korps. We wish them the best whenever their path leads them. /$/igned for the $yndicate: Chief Operations Officer (IA): Leopold von Habsburg Chief Financial & Security Officer (Econ & MilCom): Timmy Strategic Planning (FA): Hilmes

  2. This is off-topic, but I will take this chance to point out that some things are not measured through stats. SK's attack on Tesla was not only swift (they got ready within 2-3 days upon getting asked to help) but also really crucial. Through their participation at this early stage of the war, they ensured a faster recovery for CoS and TEst and also pushed the whole front from 18 cities or so to above 20 cities. At the first days of the war, things were more balanced and no fronts were 100% secured. In my list, SK is one of the top alliances that does deserve to get a term included in the peace treaty.

  6. ... I just. I cannot fathom how you are this daft. I simply can't. I am not certain where on this earth exists a being with mental faculties capable of understanding how in the world you think, after all this goddamn time, TKR is upset over the joke terms about cinnamon toast crunch and color names. It's not the joke terms, dear looooord it is not the joke terms, as said by both sides many times. It's the VM nation term. A decidedly non-joke term. There's only one real response to Noctis anymore.

  7. It has come to my attention, that we here at Bad Company, never officially apologized to Kevanovia, for mistakenly believing the lies Cynic had spread about him, and we ended up believing, simply because we were duped. I had told Kev an apology would be included in the Peace Agreement, in one of the comments, and I forgot. Kev.......myself and the rest of BC Gov is very sorry for how things played out, and for believing the lies and shenanigans that where told to us, but the scumbag Cynic. DemonSpawn COO of Bad Company

  13. A Christmas Epic that will teach you the true meaning of Christmas: As the great war of our time, Knightfall, raged on, Shifty had increased his stats and renown as a slayer of leviathans, whales, giants, and wicked creatures of the Radiant sphere. He had aided in bringing the lies and deceit of enemy to light with his network of informants. Shifty, commanding the power of Chaos, was soon a champion of the Free Peoples of Orbis, but alas, he disappeared None could find any trace of Shifty under the banner of Terminus Est, had he fallen in combat? Was he lost in the Warp? Perhaps the enemy had managed to capture him....or could he have?.....no Shifty awoke in a seemingly endless void. Desolation and clarity were the only things that Shifty could fathom in this plane of existence. Shifty heard a voice: "From the dawn of time we came; moving silently down through the centuries, living many secret lives, struggling to reach the time of the Gathering; when the few who remain will battle to the last. No one has ever known we were among you… until now." Shifty looked and could see nothing, in fact, he could not move. He merely pondered where he was. The voice said unto Shifty: "Remember the past, remember your beginnings" Shifty recounted his peasant beginnings in a small hamlet outside of the Black Knights capital in Africa. He remembered his days doing flyer work for a strange race of green humanoids with bulbous heads and a strange affliction for the flowering cannabis plant, for their desire for the plant was chronic. Shifty remembered his rise as champion and the departure to the East, where he learned the ways of martial arts and reading, forming the Cobra Kai Dojo. The spiral up the stairs to the grand library which held his deepest memories continued, with no end in sight. There were the memories of his eventual exile from Orbis, the path to darkness, and his acceptance of Chaos as his savior. Shifty asked the great voice: "Where does this all lead?" "What am I supposed to do with this?" The great voice spoke: "Patience, Shifty. You have done well. But it will take time. There are generations being born and dying. You're at one with all living things. Each man's thoughts and dreams are yours to know. You have power beyond imagination. Use it well my friend. Don't lose your head." Shifty felt a light envelope him and soon he lost all forms of consciousness. Shifty appeared atop a mountain as thunder and lightning came crashing down. He was in a far off place, for he knew none of it. The howl of the wind, the scent of the air, and view of the heavens was all alien to him. He marched down the mountain, counting his steps, wondering if each step it took him to climb down, was equal in number to the years of his past lives. He wondered what the strange voice meant. Shifty reached a walled city in the desert plains beneath the mountain. He saw a white flag, bearing a Maroon cross on it. As he approached, a guardsman by the name of Rimski, introduced himself as a crusader of the Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon. Rimski, a mere squire who had recently been promoted to guard, had come from an even more alien land, known as the Balkans. Shifty asked to speak to his superior, which led Shifty through the city's centre and to a cathedral, where he spoke to Keegoz, the Grand Templar. "Keegoz, lord of this domain, may I ask of your services and protection on a quest I must embark on?" Keegoz spoke: "I apologize traveler, but I must defend the Holy Land for all Christendom, and unfortunately you are not a Christian nor does your mission carry any importance to us." and thus Shifty traveler further East. Shifty found himself traveling day and night through the blistering deserts and frigid mountains, until he found respite in the expanse of green grassfields in the steppes. As he lay he down, he soon realized the Sun no longer shined down upon him. Shifty pondered if it was perhaps a cloud or a great bird, as the skies were clear for miles. He felt the ground tremble and heard a strange chant. It was Buorhann, Great Khan of the Golden Horde. Shifty was in the way of his horse-archers volley. Shifty did not move, instead he simply stood up and watch the arrows fall around him, leaving him unscathed. The Great Khan and his forces moved forward and found this bizarre gnome man to be an oddity and questioned his business in their lands. "None are able to withstand the might and glory of the Horde, yet you, stand here unscathed. What is your business?" Shifty replied: "I am on a quest to find a mysterious realm with a booming voice and the answers to my past lives" Buorhann, laughed and sent Shifty on his way on a small mustang, with a map to ruins of ancient city where gods and demons of Chaos haunt the rubble. Shifty found himself moving through the remains of a once great civilization, magical runes littering the dreary walls of what once was. Soon he found an altar of profane musings, with diabolical hexes etched on it and with cursed idols at the foot of it. Shifty decided to approach it and chant the dead language. "Smugma, ligma, choke-umm-uh" A greater demon of Chaos appeared, introducing himself in a vile tongue that would turn lesser men to madness, his name unspeakable lest one tempt death. So he decided to call himself Filip. Shifty asked him the same question he had asked the others and Filip once again laughed. He questioned Shifty, as to why he'd ask strangers for help and protection. Filip, toyed with his mind and told him perhaps he'd grant him legions of Chaos if he could find good reason. Shifty left insulted and found himself sitting amongst the top of the ruins. He felt the wind grow stronger and soon the heavens began to unleash their fury. He refused to move for he had no purpose after all the time he had spent on his quest. A sudden crack of thunder and one flash of lightning later, he noticed at very far corner of his eye, a mural. The mural depicted an ancient battle for the city, a hero who wielded the forces of Light and with his allies from far beyond the heavens and moonlight, fought the forces of Chaos. Strange beings of another world, were the allies of all that is good and the protectors of the universe. This ancient hero, however, was one of Shifty's many previous incarnations. Shifty began to see the end of his searching, but the true beginning of his quest. Under the mural was inscribed a message. Shifty placed his hand of the mural and muttered to himself: "I have been alive for 17498 turns.....I am immortal" He heard the voice once again, this time coming from the mural: Here we are, born to be kings We're the princes of the universe Here we belong, fighting to survive In a world with the darkest powers And here we are, we're the princes of the universe Here we belong, fighting for survival We've come to be the rulers of you all I am immortal, I have inside me blood of kings I have no rival, no man can be my equal Take me to the future of you all The voice told Shifty to find his 30 spirit children who shall return to Hyperborea with him and rule over Orbis, bringing light to the darkness. Shifty knew had to find his 30 spirit children, but he would need to find his space brothers, the Ayy lmaos, to aid him in the battle for good. Thus Shifty retook the throne of Hyperborea, the Land of Giants, Dominion of the Hollow-Earth, the Portal to the Universe and re-established contact with extraterrestrial empire of the Black Knights. BK loves Shifty (usually) Black Knights and Hyperborea hereby agree to the following terms and stuff. Article 1: Protection Black Knights hereby swears their protection to the alliance of Hyperborea from any unwarranted attacks by evil invayyders. Hyperborea is under no obligation to defend Black Knights, unless they’re feeling that war bug. Article 2: Intel Hyperborea agrees any intel brought forth by third parties or Black Knights that pertains to the security of Black Knights or allies is considered confidential and can not be shared with any outside sources by any means. Additionally Hyperborea agrees to share any intel that pertains to the security of Black Knights or allies immediately. Article 3: FAyy Hyperborea will not enter any additional diplomatic relations, “paperless” or on paper, without direct consent of the Emperor of Black Knights. Additionally Hyperborea agrees to inform Black Knights of any diplomatic issues arise. Article 4: The Princess Hyperborea hereby agrees to always recognize Gorge as the only and true princess of “The Golden Hoard” and will always call him by his title “Princess Gorge” Article 5: Cancellayytion This agreement can be canceled by either party at any time with a 48 hour notice. Thus the true meaning of Christmas, ayy lmao:

  14. Welcome back to OrbisMojo, today we will be discussing the top ten reasons why NationRP is for degenerates. 10. It doesn't affect the game what so ever making it useless 9. It's boring, like who cares about your nation running out of milk 8. Shifty doesnt like it, shifty has to approve 7. Alex likes it, that's just bad 6. RPers are losers ingame They never post in orbis central or alliance affairs because they are cowards 5. Only libtards use NationRP 4. There is an actual game called NationStates that is only RP. PnW is an actual game, play one or the other. 3. DISCORD, we have that too it contains RP that actually effects the game 2. no one but themselves care about what they have to say It's all "good work, now go look at my RP and upvote or else you're a hater and we need to change the mod rules again" 1. they spend too much time on it

  18. While playing it cool is usually the better option, I'm not sure that they're truly wrong in wanting to wrap things up. Perma-global-war seems unhealthy for this game, at least from my perspective. Many will quit, as someone said a while ago about 'vacillators' or something, ordinary players who make up the masses in this game. Now I get it, many people think that that's good, it would leave only quality players behind, willing to fight to a bitter end, or no end at all even. However, the game wouldn't grow, it would just be the same old people if we were in permawar between the same people, no change of scenery and no dynamic interplay between allies and enemies. For example, say peace comes about at this moment. Everyone knows what the dynamic will be then, a $yndisphere vs IQ power struggle, sides of similar strength. While I can't predict the result, the ensuing conflict will at least be INTERESTING. All I can say is, as a non-participant in this war, the longer it goes on, the less I am interested in the politics of this game, not saying that I reflect the views of everyone, but I am saying that peace for a short while may be better for the game than a 3/4/5 month war.

  19. I personally don't see SynDIQ's terms as unreasonable. I was expecting more that concessions would have been made in the "pure" joke elements, i.e, change colors, write stories, etc etc etc. Asking VMers to come out to be beaten is a reasonable core demand, and an end to Kosonome scripting, while essentially reps, is something in accord with TKR's professed values. I don't see this war ending in anything but a TKR surrender, with key terms acceded to. The only question is how long this will take and how painful will this be.

He's a challenged little fellow who's terrified to actually play the game. It's fairly sad. It also drives him NUTS that I ignore him. I see how often he posts immediately after mine, you get a nice little that pops up to indicate that they're still obsessed with you even though you give no farks. He's not worth yours, or anyone's time. He's probably the worst poster on these forums because he has no relevant information about anything and his speculations were always tin foil hat quality (see: wildly inaccurate). Just put the little numbskull on ignore and move on with your life!

  21. Do you even know what nuke roguing actually is. You don't seem to. Okay so if i leave my AA and start nuking high infra losers, like these sub 20 city guys with 3k, that's nuke roguing. Now if I do it from my alliance or to an alliance I'm at war with, that's called attacking an alliance im at war with. 3-4 weeks does not, infact, equal 3 months. Even if it did, who cares? Radiantsphere already admits the damage done to it has been extreme and that they've been stunted severely. They do it for 4 more months, so what? They'll never match the harm done to them. Even if they exceed syndiq in dealt damage it won't be equal, there's like 25 syndiq AAs. All they'll have done is cause so much mind boggling self harm that by the time the next global after that happens, they'd still be in the early stages of recovery and momentum gain. And that's assuming the next global warming after that is 6-9 months later, or 13 months from now. At that point, they'd be better off disbanding, right now, and just diaspora to other alliances, or create new ones. That's literally what everyone has been saying, inst. Nobody gives a flying down syndrome hogs shit what their intent is or if they can do it or not. If I threaten to cut my own off if the baker doesn't give me a higher discount he isn't going to care. I'm the one losing out, he just has to get his 17 year old backroom employee to clean the blood. Thus, to reiterate again, there is no point to this. The only thing left to prove is how stubborn you are to accept reality and face the Slayer. In the end, he runs faster, and he always will. Just because you kept running even when your tendons snapped won't make him take your soul to hell more gently LMAO.

  22. @The Mad Titan I'd disagree. The Tesla suicide on CoS and TEst was substantial in terms of damage dealt, although the entire alliance migrating to another game meant that damage taken was unacceptable. Then there was the part where Syndisphere kept on complaining about having no slots available. Then there's the war negotiations which seem to be heavily stalled. There's the BK nation that keeps on rebuying to 3k infra after getting nuked, while Buffalo NY is getting nuke rogued by Guardian for over 100mn a successful nuke hit. And there's the fact that TKR has a reasonable chance of reaching rank 1 in war stats over the next month or two. I'm not saying that hitting TKR-sphere is physically "impossible" or that they're somehow winning this war, but they're doing their best to make this war as irritating as possible. And in reality, if you look up guerrilla warfare in real life, it's typically just a more sophisticated form of human wave attacks; guerrillas usually end up taking massive civilian and military casualties, with around 10x the "home" side dying per enemy combatant killed. The Vietnamese, for instance, were never actually winning at any stage of the war before the Americans pulled out. Instead, as Giap said, the Americans got tired of killing them before the Vietnamese got tired of dying. The question, ultimately, is the capability for endurance. The level of endurance TKR-sphere is showing is that it'd take at least another 3-4 weeks (3 months) before TKR breaks and that there's a good chance they can hold out to 4 months or more.

TFW when you have a party at your house and invite a bunch of your friends over but someone steals your TV so you go to your friendly and dependable friend and accuse them and cut them from your life and sucker punch them in the face while that greasy ass snake mofo who is lazy and poor and is always asking you for money is standing there with a shiteating grin that says "I did it and I got away with it". Only after visiting your snake friends house and noticing a TV that looks suspiciously like yours do you realise the gravity of your mistake so you go back to your old friend and grovel asking for forgiveness and because hes a champ he agrees but things are the never the same again. 27. Arrgh! Following the TKR manual, since you are pirates, have no military and no alliances to protect you, we will just use you for training our new members and perma-war you, even if you don't attack us at all. Edit 1: It's amazing how you forgot to add in the flag Tesla, an alliance with which you have an MDP, but you didn't forget to add GOB, an alliance which is "paperless". Edit 2: I am glad you get to experience the pirate life. It's the best kind of play-style in the game (for an individual).

  28. So a more serious breakdown of why the VM needs to happen in the opinion of our coalition. Start by taking look at these links: TCW TKR GoB TCW obviously loses the most in this arrangement, and its obvious these VM nations are the rebuild plan for their side. Allowing this to happen is simply unacceptable when addressing the economic disparity of sides. Those TCW nations can generate over 300 million a day for TCW's rebuild, something that we won't allow to happen. You can argue some of the VM is legitimate reasons, but the simple fact is it doesn't matter. We don't care if it's legitimate. I fully agree that it's their responsibility to decide if they want to keep deserters in their alliance or not. However, this occurs after we equalize the damage dealt to them, not before. The argument is we are "punishing" them, which is flat out wrong. Lets start with the definition of punish: Punish VERB Treat (someone) in an unfairly harsh way. Their VM nations are not being treated in an unfair way relative to their alliance mates. All members still fighting are below 1k infra, or on their way there. In fact, most are substantially below that so VM nations are being treated less harshly. Then the argument that the winning side should do the same is also frankly ridiculous. This isn't a Global Summit building a player consensus, this is a war they lost and that's the demands for peace. We are holding their members accountable, since we don't trust them to do so. The winners can deal with their own, and owe nothing to those who lost in the most complete loss in a global since NPO's first time. Sure they can stay at war, but it's a lot harder to maintain a losing war than a winning one. If they want to keep going so be it, but it is easier to sell making sure perennial war deserters lose their infra to the winning coalition's members than protecting them to the losing side's members. Ultimately it will come down to their membership to deciding when they no longer want to protect pixel huggers at their own expense.

  37. You realise you're actually harming your alliances FA reputation when you make low-brow insults against sphere leaders. Plenty of people who've made a fool out of themselves on the OWF have never been able to recover from the damage to their rep from that. You'll find the majority of people who voice their opinions aren't this "on-dimensional hive mind" that you and others seem to think is out to get people. I've had times when my posts have been upvoted by IQ, EMC, Vanguard, t$, Arrgh, KT/TGH etc, and times when people have down-voted them. People of course have different views but if you actually post something that's funny, gives people some insight into the wider politics or just helps the discussion advance people will take notice of your impact on the forum. If you post ill thought out rubbish that doesn't contribute to the discussion, is completely off-topic or on the odd-rare occasion do so out of spite then you will get downvotes. Yes the forums can be a volatile places from time to time but that's what makes the politics of the game the most enjoyable, with the clash of agendas, goals, conflicts personalities etc. You're correct that not everyone uses the forums, but the vast majority of the player-base don't dictate or direct the flow of foreign policy between alliances. You'll find around 100 or so influential people (With an even smaller amount of very influential people) on this community who are the real cogs behind the politicking between the power blocs, the OWF is just one place where this takes place. Just because someone doesn't post doesn't mean they don't stay engaged, I read the forums regularly without posting for over a year, and I know many many others who read OWF announcements, treaty signings etc but just refrain from posting. Despite being in TKR's sphere for over 2 1/2 years I quite like KT/TGH, our war we fought made me respect the hell out of them and I have built up many friends from both KT/TGH. TGH deserve mad props for creating a top tier alliance in less than one month that never gave up in the lop-sided war they fought against us. They actually put a lot more thought into their up/down votes than you think and influence wise they certainly punch well above their weight in global politics in this game.

  38. I've already elaborated why openly declaring war on pirates is a stupid thing to do, and something that people roll their eyes over in the DoW thread. If you are unable to properly understand that, in spite of the extensive explanation provided by several people who're more knowledgeable than you in the subject in particular, and the game in general, then that's on you, not me or anyone else. You're also the only person who's foolish enough to think that hitting by-large ZM'd nations that can be countered with half-decent activity and standing military, is more important than joining a global, which was both more interesting and challenging than hitting pirates. ''We did something dumb which annoyed our original protector, so let's go sign the one alliance that they nearly ended up warring over some protectorate drama.'' By the nature of the treaty itself, protectorates relinquish most if not all of their FA capabilities and let their protectors cover those in their stead. What this means is, if they do something dumb FA wise, it's the protector that has to sort it out for them. There's also the fact that rather than trying to stand on their own two feet, they just ran to someone else to cover them up, which should be a dead giveaway that they aren't worth signing to begin with because they aren't dependable, choosing to let others deal with the consequences of their actions, rather than man up themselves. Oh, and congrats on disregarding most of my post outright, rather than trying to formulate a response, even if it took some research to do so.

  40. @Alex Please add a rank between Heir & Officer so that alliances dont have to choose between giving all officers bank & tax access or making all bank gov Heirs. A rank with all the same powers as officer but that can be given bank access. While i would prefer something like what was suggested in this topic, https://forum.politicsandwar.com/index.php?/topic/24262-custom-member-ranks/ , And my suggestions in the comment in it (ability for leaders to create custom ranks with different access in the control panel/edit alliance section). I think simply adding a rank above officer in the meantime should be an easy fix to one of the biggest issues i have with the game, which is being forced to choose between bank security or alliance security.

  41. They're really not contradictory, at all. Please stop bullshitting, it's not complicated logic in any sense at all. Those two goals are not in any way, shape or form, mutually exclusive. It sounds that way, if you ignore the given option to SELL DOWN instead of be slapped around for numerous rounds, which must be what you're doing. Because of that given option, however, these are NOT mutually exclusive goals. They can do both. You work together to identify actual war dodgers. They get pummeled. You identify people with valid reasons (I know there's somebody in TKR, i forget who, that is currently hospitalized and in VM right now, as an example), these people sell their infra down. Now can you explain to me, please, what about is so goddamn difficult to understand. They literally built-in to the term a way for you to punish your war dodgers and spare the innocent, while staying true to the terms. So unless you can explain to me how selling 700 infra in every city is obscenely punitive and ridiculous, and i sincerely doubt anybody on this earth could, your solution has existed the entire time and you have either lacked the depth of thought to see it or have intentionally ignored it. Scarf was right, why has this gone on for... 13, almost 14 pages now? It's not complicated is it? It doesn't feel complicated. It feels like its being intentionally made more difficult than it is.

Quoting the terms served to TGH/KT at the previous war, terms that your alliance and TKR within the coalition of that war supported: "- CB Validations (recognize their legitimacy to pursue this war) - Thalmor apologizing to Queen M (for OOC reasons) - Buorhann apologizing to Felkey - TGH flies a flag by custom design of TCW for a month (Without us knowing, TCW got a similar term in this war!) - KT flies TRF war flag for a month - Knights Templar place 2 pictures on their alliance page for a month (https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/464071431974551571/470625344983007252/image.jpg, https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/464071431974551571/470625371939799050/image.png) - KT puts TRF war flag on their alliance page for a month - KT puts up a text "Revolution was here" on their alliance page for a month - KT puts an image on their alliance page of TRF pissing on the KT flag on their alliance page for a month - KT/TGH write a glorifying story about TRF and Queen M on the OWF" I thought you liked ending wars with white peace. Probably that's the case only when you are losing. I didn't know about the terms till yesterday, but now I am not surprised at all that your side did accept Articles I, II and III, at least at the beginning of the negotiations. Such kinds of terms were already familiar to you. Although ours are less "punishing".

  43. Fraggle is not a participant of this global war, and she posted that as a joke. Check the OP to see the actual participants.
