  1. Yo, don’t really know why i am writing this. It is late and i am feeling emotional. Some of you know me, most of you don’t. Lemme tell you a bit about myself. I’m Stress, i’m Atlas Tech’s director of safety, quickly rose to high gov despite only playing since march. And let me tell you, playing this game was not a mistake. I’ve made friends that will last a long time and met… interesting fellows. I was rereading old forum posts lately and this showed me something. Back in the day, orbis was thriving. Y’all absolutely vibed. Vobe? Past tense of vibe should be vobe. Anyway, I hope especially you longtime players recognize that this game has a lot to offer and i look forward to my future in this game. Even with its flaws, I have noticed pnw is a microcosm of the real world. We got war and pestilence, and feuds crossing nations, but we also got diplomacy and jokes, and a community. These are just my ramblings. Why am i writing this. Anyway, thank you for inviting me into this game and i look forward to changing the word with y’all, even if it is a simulation. In simulations there are grains of truth.

  3. A couple of suggestions related to alliance taxes: Show default taxes on the join screen so new players understand the tax rate (for possible security reasons alternative is a notification explaining their new tax rate when accepted) Since new players will be made aware of default taxes when joining, remove the 2 day seniority requirement for taxes to begin Give a notification when your tax bracket has been changed Currently this appears in the alliance activity but could be quickly hidden from a member and switched back before they notice, allowing abuse. End color based tax Exemptions, Replace with activity based tax exemptions Greys dont pay taxes because grey is the inactive color, Bieges were made exempt later due to abuse by alliances taxing biege inactives and moving them back and forth to applicant. Obviously the reason for tax exemptions is inactivity, so instead of doing it in this roundabout way, make greys and bieges still pay taxes if they are active, and make tax exemption based on last login instead (however long it takes to turn grey now for example) Separate Taxes for RSS Two options on how to implement: Money/Raw resource/MFG/Uranium/food Or a bracket for each individual resource to make things easier for alliances that dont want these separate and/or have many bracket if the other resource tax rates are left blank it defaults to the raw resource rate, only the money and resource rate have to be filled when making/changing brackets

  4. I'm glad you'll still be around on Discord and stuff. And your nation will still be there if you want her. You've always been an active part of alliances you were in and you're fun to hang around with so I hope that continues even though you don't have an active nation. Until next time. *Hugs*.

  5. I wonder which guy in Camelot's EA department thought this one was worth? 😆

  6. So let's get this straight. Camelot, the rank 7 alliance in Orbis, decided it wanted to attack the entire upper tier of The Lost Empire, the rank 21 alliance in Orbis, for the sake of a treasure from what I have heard? Camelot, the alliance that is known for its excellent decisions, and its superb leadership, has decided to use its 109 members, to attack an alliance with 52 members, for the sake of a treasure that will despawn in what, a month and a half? Camelot, whose colour bloc is Maroon, and gives them $33,994 per turn, and $407,928 per day, wants to go to war over a treasure that will, if I am not mistaken in my math, give them a bonus of 2% in revenue per day? If they get all three, that'll be a whole 3.46% bonus revenue Now I'll admit ladies and gentlemen, I am by no means an expert at maths, but something about this feels like it's not very friendly towards ROI. What do I know though, Camelot has always been known for its great decision making, like when it was a very vocal supporter of IQ, and then tried to switch sides after the war and act like the victim. Camelot has ALWAYS been known for its good decision making, like when it decided uninvited to join Guns and Roses and Duck Hunt for the sake of.... what was the reasoning again Gorge? Preserving the balance of the game? I'm sure it was some great reason and it was worth the 84 billion damage you took in Guns and Roses and 37 billion you took in Duck Hunt. After all, Camelot has ALWAYS been known for its great decisions, like when it funneled massive amounts of cash into both Arthur and Gorge's nations, to build them up. Just taking a quick look at the CTOwned war page, it already seems clear that Arthur, Epi, and Gorge have once AGAIN proved their brilliance, as they've already taken 1.6 billion damage in this war. I'm sure this is going to be over VERY quickly, lads, and this will absolutely end in you making more money off of the 2% to 3% from the treasures than you spent on this war. I once again bow to the brilliance of the leadership of Camelot, you all are truly a shining beacon of excellence in this game.

  12. "As the peasants of Camelot rode into the calm waves hunting for a treasure, they believed that they would ride unopposed into the oceans. Unfortunately for them, they had just gone into the Ocean Masters zone of control. The water started to rise around them, creating a wall crashing inwards on them. With the savage oceans rocking the boat, many members of the scavenger party fell out and into the deep blue ocean. As the leader of the party, Epimethius, was scrambling to hold onto the boat, he screamed "Move! An asteroid!". It was headed straight for them. Crashing into the ocean, it caused devastating losses to Camelot's forces. There were no survivors." TLDR: The Lost Empire and 99942 Apophis recognize hostilities with Camelot, after their treasure raid, self-declared "pre-counters", threats of nuclear holocaust and countering of counters. P.S. We know you expected us to bow down to you, but the ocean does not bend. Enjoy the rebuild, assuming Gorge hasn't spent it all on cities ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

  13. When a player opens the Join menu on an alliance, there should be an info box editable by the alliance, where requirements for application or other information they need applicants to know, like to apply on discord, can be posted (or as an alternative, a DM sent to their inbox when they click join, or both) Many new players click to apply to alliances that require them to apply on discord, this requirement is usually in the alliance description but there is no guarantees they read the whole description, especially newer players just trying to find a place to accept them and start playing. I feel like many larger alliances typically ignore applicants that don't follow their requirement to apply on discord or applicants that don't meet other requirements like city count, and this leads to new players quitting. With an infobox/message this may alleviate some of this and help players understand why they aren't being accepted, as well give alliances a place to give requirements and some general info that applicants need to know.

Pavitistvo Kozatskiya | Павитиство Козацкия Pavitelstvo Kazakiya | Павителство Казакия 哥萨克政府 - 哥薩克政府 | Gesake Zhengfu Pamahalaan ng Bansang Kosakya | Government of Cossackia National Affairs Briefing Note: Before you assume that this will all be about the Gacha Community (as it is part of our law), read the entire briefing. Do also note that the events are only semi-fictional and semi-custom. For the monarch names, I have no intent to break your Lese-Majeste laws. And all the events are more based on real-life politics than Orbis. Also names of some people is completely fictional, to expose an individual is not intentional and will not be intended. Enjoy. June 30 is the affair of Gacha-related affairs. Hear me out. We realized while we were gone, the Gacha puppet states (namely the Gacha SSR, the Gacha People's Republic, and the Dominion of Gachaland) decided to do some Yugoslavia-style unification. The idea was proposed from the Dominion of Gachaland, and was accepted by a majority. So today, the Gacha People's Federative Republic is now declared and the Gacha Provisional Government is established. We have learned so much from kamexri's video this morning, we realized that the Gacha Community can't be saved. So instead, we decided to reform the Gacha Community in Cossackia. If we can reform the Gacha Community here in this country, then we won't be cringe. And as of July 11, we are also becoming rich by $250M, and basically our economy is doing well. No starvations means no rebellions. About food, we are sending students to Singapore to learn how to produce artificial meat and to Israel to learn how to make artificial milk. We watched too much videos from Animals Australia, so we are forced to rethink our meat and dairy supplies. We are now making laws to: abolish animal abuse, which means: no more mulesing for sheep no more tail removal for sheep and pigs no more shredding for chicks no more beak removal for chickens no more horn removal for cows no 'balls' removal for pigs no teeth "trimming" for pigs give animals democracy, meaning: that they can vote either to: be slaughtered be spared etc. (such as more space, more food, yard time) the results are the majority gets what they want the minority can abstain the voting stations are feeds and a sign the majority of animals that go there means the decision is accepted Cossackia still conducts airlifts in Naypyidaw, even though Myanmar democracy is old news. Cossackia will also send support to Japan, Korea, and Taiwan to defend from the Chinese invasion that is yet to come. That's all.

  23. I have already explained the issue with nerfing "bombing runs" in another thread and that criticism remains the same. I'm also curious where this feedback has come from because I've legitimately not heard such complaints before, in fact, I have heard the opposite that bombing units is detrimental until you have a clear plane advantage. This only makes that worse. I like the idea, I agree with others however, that there needs to be a cap (maybe 80%) on the max spies before you get locked out of reserving any more spies. This is to prevent the spy war from becoming a guaranteed flip flop of who controls it, because under this system (in its current form) the losing side will simply rebuild, coordinate reactivation at the same DC, and spy wipe the other side, taking control until the enemy rebuilds their own reserve spies and repeats the process over again. This would effectively take the skill out of winning the spy war, instead making it into a constant tug of war which would make war less fun, in a [war] system that is already unattractive. This first project (because of its cost) is targeted towards whales and I really don't think that's what the game needs right now. The mid and low tier need more projects (and more project slots) so this project should have its price lowered or be scrapped altogether. Before the "specialization" argument peeks through the door, this project is a simple discount, it does not help specialize in anything so it should definitely be more accessible to all. I fully agree with Ramona on the second project, see their post if you haven't. Awful. This kind of change really just benefits the mass-member, veteran alliances because half of everyone else's treasures are going to be stripped away from them and fought over by the titans because they can afford to pump credits into their dedicated and large member base that a lot of the smaller alliances don't have, all the while they now have an even less chance of getting their own treasures because these "lottery" treasures were pulled from their own pool. Further, why do we need more ways to spend credits exactly? It seems to me that people buy enough as is, until recently credit prices were hardly pushing above 1m their actual value because the supply was so large. Instead of trying to put already-established mechanics behind a paywall, Alex and his team should be creating new (cosmetic) things to spend them on because this is unnecessary, and an unwelcome money grab. Just no.

  25. Figured out what, TLE would just sit and let their high tiers die because they are an incompetent tax farm? Guess what, that is not TLE but Camelot. How much do you have to suck to have negative 1B net after only 2 days of war? Tbh, Anti-Cam coalition would make more money by just looting your members than you might have got from that treasure XD. A very good move for an alliance with top notch FAs, hope there is even more to come!

  30. I do not agree with this system, it is quite simply, a trap for new players. New players will be lured into this idea of getting a "treasure" because they're so mysterious and full of wonder, however the newer player would almost certainly be better off redeeming their credits for cash, selling the on the market, or a multitude of other things that would allow them to more quickly build their nation, as opposed to a ticket, that maybe someday will possibly pay out. You say that there are also measures in place to prevent rich alliances from accumulating too many treasures, however I feel that this system favors larger, more established alliances even more than the current system. Established alliances are more likely to see large collections of dedicated members, and large collections of dedicated members are more likely to be willing to spend cash than an upstart alliance with brand new members. This system would mean that larger, more established alliances could in theory "pay to win" a treasure, literally by virtue of having more members in terms of numbers, as well as generally more devoted members. You could say that is already the case under the current system, however under the current system, it is only the number of members of an alliance that matters, not the monetary contributions to the game of that alliance, in terms of their ability to grab a treasure. It is likely that this system would lead to more treasure, in more established alliances, and I'm not a fan of buffing established alliances in this way.

  33. There have been several mechanics to encourage and increase new player "catching up". There's also a fine line between incentivizing new players and disenfranchising senior players. At this time I don't see a purpose to removing the time requirement from cities up to city 15. However, I wouldn't be opposed to a middle ground of city timers becoming 5 days from cities 11-15.

  34. The IMF would basically act as the in-game equivalent of a loaning and banking institution. The maximum amount that you can take out would be capped at 15m * number of cities (say) and the game would automatically deduct 0.1% of your outstanding debt as interest every turn. You can withdraw money from (or pay off loans) in your nation's IMF any time, regardless of blockade. While the IMF won't replace in-game banks (due to it's high interest rate), I feel, having a mechanic to draw emergency cash can add an interesting dynamic to gameplay. Project costs: $50m, 500k food Curious to hear what do you guys think about this.

  35. Treasure Lottery: 50% of the Treasures in the game are marked as "Lottery Treasures". A nation can buy a treasure lottery ticket with 1 credit. If there are more treasures than lottery ticket holds the treasure is dispersed at random to the whole game population. Please upvote or downvote if you like/dislike these changes Credits are what keep this game running. This is a method to increase credit usage without dramatically impacting the game as treasures are already random and measures are in place from rich alliances gaining too much from accumulating treasures.

Please upvote or downvote if you like/dislike these changes This will allow for nations who have had all their spies killed rebuild those spies without getting them zeroed out again every couple days. While they're rebuilding the nation's spies provide no offensive/defense capabilities unless they move them active.
