  1. June 7, 2021 a date which will live in infamy the Infinite Empire was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Black Skies. Ambassador from Black Skies and his colleague delivered to our Secretary of State a formal reply to a recent rakatan message. And this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations. Alan asks for 50 million im reparations for 7 million in actual damage (on a inactive applicant). Hence forth Soviet Cereal man Declared a few more wars to pay the 50 million in a better way. As such Alan hit RIE. It seems Alan can't handle pirates, the ego hit is to much. As a RIE/TIE tradition we gladly welcome the dogpile. Tldr: RIE/TIE declares war on Black Skies

  3. Four months ago, I lost friends and allies in the blink of an eye. And Orbis just !@#$in' laughed. Tomorrow, there would be no shortage of haters and no shortage of CBs. I know nobody understands. We are the most under appreciated alliance in the history of man. Every fight is our fight. Because what happens over here, matters over there. We don't get to sit one out. Learning to use the tools of pirate counters is the difference between the prospering of your people, and utter destruction. We can't give you freedom. But we can give you the know-how to acquire it. And that, my friends, is worth more than a whole army base of steel. Sure it matters who's got the biggest stick, but it matters a helluva lot more who's swinging it. This is a time for counters. A time for blockades. The narrative is written by the haters. Let's get to work. TL;DR - After we bled for RIE's freedom, RIE will bleed for ours. We understand nobody cares about what we say. Black Skies recognizes hostilities with the bootleg pirates.

  5. The reality of your unappreciation, is every FA move you've ever done ends in a fluke. No one care about someone who walks around in a tin foil hat. If you wanted a better outcome maybe don't ask for 50mil in reps for an inactive applicant when you're incapable of handling your own members. If you want to be appreciated then do something that actually deserves appreciation.

  14. @Sweeeeet Ronny D Aight, I'll make this fair game for all of Orbis telling everyone how to calculate spies for any individual. First, we need to understand that when calculating spies, we approach it as an inequality. While the formula for odds can quiet easily be found here, using it only is going to be troublesome. Since the odds are shown as Greater than 50% and Less than 50%, we need to use this as an inequality equation as: Final Odds > 50% , Final Odds < 50% where Final Odds = (Safety Level * 25 + ( Your Spies * 100 / (( Enemy Spies * 3 ) + 1 )))/Modifier As you can see, there are a lot of variables out there which you can find value from in the link provided. Lets set the odds with these values: Safety Level = 1 Modifier = 1 The equation now reduces to Final Odds = 25 + ( Your Spies * 100 / (( Enemy Spies * 3 ) + 1 )) We are hence left with only two variables which are Your Spies and Enemy Spies If we fix final odds at 50, we get something like this: 50 = 25 + ( Your Spies * 100 / (( Enemy Spies * 3 ) + 1 )) We can solve it as: y = (4x -1)/3 where y = Enemy Spies x = Your Spies As you can see, this is the equation of a line, meaning it has infinite solutions. But we are only interested in finding values of y between 0 to 60(since 0 is the max spies your enemy can have, 60 is the maximum they can have). To do this, we fix x and then solve for y. This may or may not give you an integer answer but the number you get is pretty much close to what spies your enemy has. To fix the value of x, we use the value of Your Spies for which the odds just jump from Greater than 50% to Less than 50% or vice versa. Let's take an example for this: Putting x = 10, 15, 4, 8, 25 and solving the equation: y = (4x -1)/3, we get Y = 13, 16.67(17), 5, 10.33(11), 33 Now you might ask me why we get decimals for spy values. The answer is that we assume a 50% odd at times where the odd might actually be 55% or 75% or 45%. You can fix these errors using trial and error methods and such but that's that. Also, this equation doesn't take into account the modifiers to odds due to special policies like Covert or Arcane. Anyway, I hope this helps Orbis by making the game more fair for everyone unless you suck at maths. 15. Rose Bloc wasn't going to beat us, you dont start a major bloc war unless you know you can win, that being said it wasn't the curb stomp people like to pretend it was, Rose shot themselves in the foot by not militarizing which made it exceedingly easy to roll thru them. When we chose to hit them we were expecting a more prepared fight out of them. What is surprising is how poorly the other blocs that jumped in have done. I hate telling our opponents how to beat us, but here you go! You have the numbers to take us out, just looking at the 21-30, you out number us 3-1, which means if you can work together and utilize your strength, you can easily up declare 3 on 1s against every single Hollywood member in the 20-30 range. When that happens, you can then pin those guys with your huge number advantage in the teens, and then use the remaining members to start dragging our 30s, then you move up to the mid 30s, and upper 30s and then 40s, and poof! You win! That is how easy it is. Granted we aren't going to sit around and let you do that, which is why the small counters you have launched have all basically failed, so you will have to put in more work and launch counters to our counters, but you still have the numbers for that, because we only have so many offensive attack slots. The question is do you have the coordination, discipline, and activity needed to do that? From what we have seen from our end so far, the answer is no, to the point where it looks like we might actually be pushing you downwards with control now into the low 20s (which is ridiculous) Oasis and Cam have shown themselves to be a bit of a paper tiger so far. Also don't act like up declares dont work or are difficult, they 100 percent do, just ask Dreadnaught.

  20. Its why I have publicly stated I dont really see oasis as threat for atleast another 2 years or so. They act like a giant blob of unruly nations, its going to take them a while to tighten it up. They are the opposite of alliances like Oblivion or Guardian who have a tight group of nations that are used to working together, and fight as a team as a matter of habit. Its also tougher when you have 3 blocs trying to work together, that is a lot of extra coordination that is needed vs Hollywood where we have things set up for us to succeed, tho we are basically two blocs that merged and declared at the same time, so in terms of our internals being 100 percent, it definitely took us a day or two to get things running fairly efficiently after we started the war. (aka we will be better next time)

  30. a cultured man i see - i too speak sarcasm I know the dominance of ground attacks in this meta even after the nerfs - but strictly in terms of advantages based on space control - AS it the best control to have and I don't think it's even close. It makes it very difficult to go from a losing position to a winning one. ground can get you the win, but air is what keeps it. Maybe things are different for you up at c40 - but most of us humble noobs at c20 below don't bring/buy credits. if they run out of gas/muni - which many do because they're broke and don't listen - their max mil falls faster with zero resistance and they lose the war. I wonder - in that war with Dreadnought - did Akak use the second naval attack to drain resources? He already had a blockade, seemed like an interesting choice when an airstrike would destroy more ships and infra. You also decided to use a naval attack - maybe after seeing the loot from Inconnue's beige? did you notice dreadnought was out of muni before your final airstrike? Probably would've been easy to set up a cycle there since they don't produce muni. But i guess it's funner and more costly to just let them rebuild and roll them again.

  34. You'll get one response, but I won't deal with you beyond that. Yes, we outtier Rose, but not by much. We had the advantage, but the slightest one in years. Even the upper tier is quite competitive with 45 C30+ for Rose and 52 for Hollywood. To be clear, the C35+ advantage you mention is a grand total of 12 nations. It's pretty clear this is competitive with a slight advantage on our end. With Oasis, we win essentially no tier, and are much more badly outnumbered (doubly so) than with us v. Rose. As for the CB for TKR, it's in my post. Rose's actions last war, which were way out of line in using secret treaties to imbalance a fair war and hypocritical of their past expectations of us during KF. Meta infractions require that people be held to account. You'd know that CBs don't often get put into the DoW post if you took more time to listen to folks instead of acting in your normal capacity. In general, people enter wars they can win. No FA person will ever fight a war offensively that they don't think they'd have a good shot to win if they didn't have to fight that war anyways. That said, this was literally the closest war in 3 years. Also, I don't call it a dogpile. Rather, my point is that if we're calling the first war a dogpile, then the Oasis entry makes it a way worse dogpile but for the other side given that it's double the advantage. It's not Oasis' conflict. We've operated for years such that spheres uninvolved with a conflict and the rationales behind it are not allowed to enter. Y'all are breaking meta norms by entering. I'd also reread my chart about "bigger alliances" because the size issue isn't really apparent based on the actual data.

  35. Hey folks, back at it again with the unsolicited WoT. Sit back, read, and enjoy a cup of tea! I think there's a few issues with the Oasis entry into this war. The foremost of which is the mention of secret treaties. To enter a bit of context, a primary reason for TKR's entry against Rose was actions that were done last war in the form of secret treaties that imbalanced a global war. These were secret treaties they maintained with Oasis and HM. Notably, Rose entered on those secret treaties while the other blocs were hit. Nonetheless, a secret treaty existed, which you can confirm here: From an objective perspective, it is suspicious that a previous secret treaty combination is repeating. Our stance on secret treaties is clear. They're destructive for the meta. Oasis is claiming that they entered based on HM's handling of Delta and dissatisfaction with the formation of Hollywood. For the sake of good faith, let's entertain these claims even if they may seem spurious. Even if there wasn't a secret treaty, any form of "friendship" or "agreement" if made without paper on the web is an effective secret treaty. The difference is semantics. Orbis norms have long been that coalition agreements can only be of offensive nature as the oA has always been seen as a universal for all alliances, but defensive pacts are not allowed. This was showcased in Knightfall where TKR suffered heavily for secret treaties that either weren't activated or well-known--not to mention changing the course of a global war by the same who used secret treaties later on to hit us in Duck Hunt. We made mistakes in the past. There's no doubt. Because of this, we've wholly transitioned our stance to transparency even when if it comes at political costs. Our friends in Oasis and Rose have not returned the favor. Next, folks like @Dr James Wilson talk about the size of Hollywood. First, the statistics they're showing are score, and not tiering charts. Let's rectify that with a chart that shows all top 50 alliances (I made this on mobile, so sorry about not doing smaller alliances as it was quite painful already to make) and members that have been active within 2 weeks: Hollywood isn't the biggest sphere by a wide margin in terms of total cities nor nations. The tiering of Hollywood is relatively even throughout with a slight advantage in the upper tiers, but largely comparable to both Rose and Syndispheres. At the same time, Syndisphere has a large advantage in other tiers and Rose is quite competitive despite being the smallest sphere. In terms of total city count, Hollywood vs. Rose was about 1.3:1. This was the closest war in more than 3 years, and nowhere near a dogpile. After Oasis' entry, this became a 1.6:1 in favor of Rose and Oasis. Ironically, Oasis' entry made more of an imbalance in both tiering and city counts than the war beforehand. Moving forward, let's only address using the relevant statistic: tiering. Score is useless, and y'all know this. Oasis has also presented claims about Delta's supposed mistreatment at the hands of HM. From my understanding, the outcome of aggressive actions on behalf of Delta was them escaping without reps. I don't love terms, but this seems like a slap on the wrist from a sphere that y'all clearly state has done and seen much worse. Further, if you had an issue with HM and wanted to use it as a CB, then you could consider declaring your own war when there isn't another one going on. The meta hasn't ever accepted interference in wars, so this is an extremely weak CB and borderline meta-breaking if you try to take this tack. The sphere size argument is moot with any reasonable observations about the current sphere sizes. The alternative argument for Delta treatment means that Oasis was planning to interfere in another war, amounting to at best a destruction of long-held Orbis norms. Thus, even if we dubiously accept there were no secret treaties, we're not left with much but an invalid CB. Simply put, this just continues Oasis' track record of secret treaties and wars stacked in their favor. It's disappointing. Alas, the die is cast and now we fight. Y'all have the advantage, but my members want the pixels. Let's see who wins.
