  1. Just what the title says. I think we should be able to directly purchase resources (as a gov with bank access) off the market with bank funds. It would be much more convenient than transferring the money to my nation to buy the rss and then transferring it back to the bank

  2. Without which we let someone open their proverbial mouths, we would never know how truly stupid they are 🤣 furthermore, by desiring the silence of others are you not tacitly advertising your own want of character? Whatever...part of the disincentive for many who might otherwise engage on the OWF is the prevailing attitude that sheer volume and moral outrage is superior to quality and reasonableness of argument. It is not by the way. The insufferable raging and moralising against fascists and other undesirables can surely be taken somewhere else? Here's a thought, mute the keyboard warriors who trigger your precious emotions, and be happy...or more importantly allow others to be happy 🍻

  5. See, this guy gets it. I simply want to point out that even historically, there were jesters in political courts that could and did say things mockingly, because you didn't have to take what they said seriously. IMO, trolls are basically the modern day recreation of that old utility... yet, even jesters and trolls have to know their audience, since a jester that went too far would see his unique privileges removed. Usually alongside his head :S

  7. An Announcement from Order of the White Rose This isn’t the coup you’re looking for... On this day in 2016 OWR came into being. It was just another ordinary Sunday, really. I never imagined we’d still be here five years later. My thanks to everyone, friend and foe alike, for making our past such a storied one. My heartfelt gratitude to the Kith of Alba Rosa; we wouldn’t be here today without all the dedication and loyalty you guys bring to the table. And I tip my hat to my Legates, for finally getting around to couping me. Five years this has been promised. Bloody well took you long enough. Sval Prime of Order of the White Rose

  11. Kudos to you and your little beige alliance. Tell me, does that rod up your backside serve an actual purpose? And how do you still find the room to dump all over other people's stuff with it so firmly lodged in place? Truly, you are a modern marvel.

  12. If you knew that me and Scarfie, which now you do, we usually don't see the eye to eye. He's just another guy that's does troll like Aku, but he usually more reasonable with what he does. Also, take what Scarf said word for word, it's true face value, versus twisting it out of proportion. People who call other people out that they disagree/hate (with), then try to silence them unfairly and unjustly from there human rights, are basically what they dislike, themselves. Basically, they're being the monster that they don't like seeing outside oneself(in some cases, this is called psychological projection). I've also been told very similar standpoints on what Scarf said from friends and family. Even history tells us that they used such harsh practices to kept there people hush as well under there control. Going even to the point of inflicting pain in psychological and physical torture, even death. That practice was started upon in ancient times and sadly continues to this day, even legal death in the US by capital punishment. Then we also have modern day China, where if you say anything against their government, they can legally take you out at most, harshly punish/torture you at least.

  14. Dropping poetic propaganda for cheap political points and by so doing implying that all your enemies are by definition fascists is in and of itself a highly fascist move, just with a deeply old coat of paint applied to their playbook. (Ok that metaphor got away from me, so what) Those poems could be very powerful if you weren't abusing their majesty for your own direct intentions, those being to imply that anyone not instantly and directly and completely agreeing with you and your position without blinking is a dirty fascist-adjacent and thus deserving of an immediate execution. Stop that. It's ridiculously ancient and anyone with two brain cells to rub together can see right through it.

  16. •Cost 12 MAPS •Requirements opponent must be inactive for over 5 days. (Open to more requirements) Abandons The War. No loot no beige. Reasons this is needed: A raider declares on an inactive, the alliance counters, they agree to peace out on the inactive but the countering alliance doesn't want to accept peace right away, so they can attack if he goes back on the agreement, creating a valid reason for what can end up being in essence slotfilling if the raider has other wars or is a target for any other reason. The raider is also technically slot filling in this scenario, preventing other raids or a blitz from touching that nation Other reasons why & scenarios where this is beneficial: The countering alliance can move on faster, and not have to worry -You accidently declare an incorrect war type -You declare on the wrong enemy -Your alliance orders you to peace with an inactive because of raid policy or because a priority target is in your range

  18. So in general this nationsim lacks any competitive feature. This has been a blessing and curse in many ways. I think now that we're a few years into things, we need something to introduce competition. The problem has been, as with treasures, that any strategic resource worth having would confer too large of a bonus on the winners of wars. So the question was how to make this work without creating a stupidly powerful hegemony as a result. My pitch: Resource X. Resource X randomly spawns in various nations across the globe - much as treasures do. Each nation can possess up to 100 units of resource X. Losing a war loses half of your stockpile of X, rounded up to the nearest whole number to the winning nation. How Spawning Works: X will respawn like a treasure every 6 months. No nation will receive more than 1 unit of X upon reset and it's randomly distributed amongst all active non-VM nations. Benefits of possessing X: Your monetary income and production increase by 0.25% for each unit of X you possess. (maxes out at a 25% bonus.) Downsides of possessing X: Your military takes 2% more casualties per attack for each unit of X you possess. (maxing out at 200% more casualties per attack). Possessing any amount of X on your nation increases the score range other nations can declare on you by 25%. Can you trade for it?: No. Wars only, big boy. Alliance-wide effects of X: For every unit of X within an alliance, the monetary income of their top 15 members increases by 0.025% per unit of X in the alliance (maxes out at 25% bonus, cannot stack with the national bonus from X.) So even small alliances can benefit from collection of X, but large alliances can't go crazy with it. Those same top 15 members will experience the same military debuffs that the possessing nation(s) do. Limited Supply: There will only ever be 10,000 units of X in the game. So either ten alliances can possess the entirety of this effect, 100 individual nations, or many others. I think this creates enough of a supply to be worth pursuing without creating such a shortage than having X on your nation is an immediate cause for war. Emergency stop-gap Measures: In the event of some crazy treasure island workaround forming, or a hegemony somehow forming from this, a nation can only receive 6 months of this effect before it gains an immunity debuff - basically this negates the effects of X for the next 90 days on your nation once you've received a cumulative of 180 days worth of bonuses from the X. The military debuffs will still apply regardless, but the main positive of keeping the X in your alliance/nation for more than 6 months would be to deny its effects to others at that point rather than endlessly profiting from it. So why will this encourage war? Alliances will be able to significantly increase their economic output in exchange for creating a significant vulnerability in their top tier as well as whoever possesses the resource. So hopefully this will encourage wars, raids, etc. to snipe the resource from each other while limiting the effect to the top 15 of any given alliance will prevent a treasure island scenario from occurring. Maybe this is a bad idea or overly complex, but I thought this up last night and figured I'd share.

  19. Number 1 is useless Number 3 is absolutely broken, I have relatively low land for a food producer and it would still near double my income. I can't even begin to imagine how much someone like wampus could make.

  20. It took a long time for the crying to stop. Rei, Captain of the Radiant Fox Army emerged from her blood-covered Mech and scanned the battlefield. The sights and smells were nearly overwhelming. Dead Templar Knights laid baking in their own armor, Mongol horses collapsed next to their deceased riders. Her foxes would feast tonight.

  23. I'm gonna say this cause it needs to be said. All you guys sayin we don't do anything are the same morons that whin and cry when we fight. So we sit here and lip off to everyone else in the game. We try to pick fights. We wait for the time when someone will man up. Smash your mighty alliance into our ranks and end world food production. We will fire more nukes than fraggle has daily. All I'm trying to say is just declare already. We don't strike because we like our targets to fight back. I really don't want to have my way with your whole crew while listening to tears falling in to metal buckets. Everyone chilling with no military and lipping off. Yeah you being real dynamic with no military. At least we pay daily for our upkeep and still keep appearances hostile. Lick me where I shit I'll be here waiting for you

  24. From The Desk of Uncle Traveling Matt The Nation of Fraggle Rock Greetings to all the nuclear nations of the world. And a hearty hat tip to the others. As we have been busy with the new arrival to Fraggle Rock (Cian...what a name) we haven't been around to keep up with the drama of the forums. Typically we only come here to search "Fraggle" and read our classics.....you know the random musings, or the random nukings, or the stories of buffoons falling for our silliness. So we came here to search our name and saw many a thread in where people are naming us in different ways. "Fraggle this, Fraggle that....you anit shit if you anit Fraggle....ect." None really caught our eyes until we saw Mr. Bet. He is going to be awarded the highest Fraggle honor for coining an unit of measure: The Fraggle Ratio(TFR). So y'all can band together and build your nukes, but you will always have to mention The Fraggle Ratio when you try to brag. Continue on, and congrats to Fark. You guys did it. Now let's see those be used in an interesting way. The Fraggle Ratio Fraggle Rock: 322 Nukes TKR: 65 Nukes: 4.95 TFR BK: 213 Nukes: 1.5 TFR NPO: 75 Nukes: 4.29 TFR KT: 64 Nukes: 5.03 TFR Rose: 46 Nukes: 7.00 TFR Fark: 1001 Nukes: 0.32 TFR Alpha: 536 Nukes: 0.60 TFR SA: 349 Nukes: 0.92 TFR NK: 277 Nukes: 1.16 TFR Many Hugs, Uncle Traveling Matt

  25. All hail the Nuke Gods. Upvoted the first 3 replies, b/c of mates and 3.12 Fraggles is hilarious unit of measure. Betulius, that good trolling shit right there. And just for the record, just let us have our culture of nukes. Not everything has to be about the most efficient strategy or how useless nukes are or everyone has 10m food in the bank. Some people like their Knights culture, some people like to be Commies, we like to talk about radiation. RP-hard. I see how someone might say this. But you need to look back in our history young grasshopper. Alpha was apart of the longest war in PW history (correct me if a future war was longer) and Fark, NK, and Alpha have been at constant states of war and alert for a lot of their history. Sure, recently, as with *every single PW alliance* we have just sat. But if you are referring to the that last war, in Alpha's case, I figured we earned the right to sit out *one war* since you know....none of our allies were fighting.

  30. Hello Everyone I had a slightly controversial idea to with how Trade worked. (mostly really stuff it up, maybe for the week of April fools) The Idea is to add a mechanism that introduces shipping of goods and resources throughout the sphere, To make trading a more realistic experience where it becomes an industry itself. Things that this would include is: - Making the transfer of take time depending on how far you were shipping or trading from - Making a bonus for trading inside alliances. - Collective ship movements were your transfer of goods can move in predetermined movements by players bigger shipping ships - Pirates that could attack shipment movements and steal fast amounts of resources in transit failing both the buyer and seller. a limit for who ever was in your war range. - Add ships or navy that purely made for shipping. With protection defending shipment from pirates, Foreseen Effects - This would try to make the geographic location in the world you were more valuable - Create a small economics spheres inside all of the continents - Make it harder to trade, and ruin economies and piss on all alliances. Really just add some scuffed-ness to Politics and war, this is only a start of an idea please make it better.

  33. How about you take what me and Scarf said at its face value, not what you and others think outside of it with y'alls own twist. You realize this is just basically telling people that enjoy the outrage, just mute/ignore the people that make them blow up. I respect the first two statements, but the last one is just influencing to cause more ignorance, inconsideration as well stupidity from the people that enjoy baiting and flaming. That also goes for the people who are over insecure and sensitive, they're just going to ignore the people that make them feel in uproar, versus finding ways to cope with it, even learned how to chill out. Those people are also going to feed the flames by letting their emotions take the wheel. It's why society is where it is right now, just look at feminism and BLM. They used to be some of most righteous of fights. Nowadays, it feels like they secretly hate guys & others races, especially whites. I can't say much of anything else either for saying honesty & facts, before getting engulfed with negativity. Guys, don't you know there's a difference between hate speech and speech one hates? Censoring/cancelling facts as well things we don't like, turns us into idiots. It's claim that's it's for our safety but it is removing information empowering people outside of cancel culture even censoring from media/government. Truth doesn't damage viewpoints that are legit, only enhances them.
