Hi @Harry Flashman, @Lord Tyrion, @Richard Payne III, I don't think it's a secret I've been close to alliances in Swamp for years. I gave GodFury (precursor to TLE) a protectorate, worked on my coalition not rolling TFP (Knightfall), helped the Federation get a protectorate with TFP and Alexio's Frontier Records after the Nova Riata merger turned into a disaster and worked with Alexio several times. I've complimented those of you (Immortals, TFP, Fark, TLE) who stayed in the war, when numbers and moral support mattered and others fought alongside IQ or dropped out the war against IQ within days after entry. The appreciation for that stands. Given our ties and the rumors building up I've been pretty quiet on the Forums and sought you guys out in DMs. Your words have been pretty clear: we had no plans to hit Quack. It's annoying and a shame the case that Swamp has approached other spheres about dealing with Quack, has just been building. I'm not going to rehash it all here. After months of regular remarks by several players on the OWF, Immortals FA James most clearly voiced his opposition on the radio about Quacksphere being waaaaay to large and scary. After a friendly convo in DMs I tried a "Let me know if your concerns develop into something more than that... or if you simply feel like a chat XD" but apparently to no avail. By incorporating TCW Swamp has grown to give-or-take the same size as Quack. I'm looking forward to a radio show on that and let's drop the "maybe TCW or other alliances will be cut when we re-evaluate" - TCW is Swamp now, obviously. And with TCW you embraced an alliance with plans to hit Quack. I have to hand it to SRD: he doesn't owe us anything and I'd understand it if he held some grudges against t$, but at least he mentioned (it was presented to him that) Swamp approached HM about hitting Swamp. You can't just say maybe "I'm out of the loop with my sphere but you just prove it" . Can't you Ask Alexio (part 2) instead? Why should we? We can't ignore HM putting this out there. I get it when one of the two largest spheres wants to take out the competition and prepares for that. It's P&W, not Politics & Kumbaya. I also know at times sphere leaders have middlemen. That old ties and fresh assurances get forgotten in the process is... annoying. That a Duckpile was deemed necessary is a shame. I dont think I ever had the pleasure of chatting with you when I played, but you really do remind me a lot of myself the 2nd time I had the misfortune of running an alliance in this game =/ Truth wont get many people on your side in this game, it cost me a lot of lost opportunity learning that lesson as well. I completely forgot my forum name on here, and had to search for a post that I had made, and this was the one I found, and it seems you have found yourself in a similar position that I once did =/. I didnt do very well, even with screenshots leaked to me that proved my point...and I didn't have the misfortune to have my opposition be Partisan either. He's probably the smartest person in game atm, and you seem inexperienced at this type of thing, even if you state truths he will frame things in ways that will have your honest answers weaken your position and maybe even splinter your side. The best you can do is just state your reasons and stay off the OWF, some fights you cant win, and trying to do will make things worse =/. I'm not sure if ive ever been strong at FA, but that isnt one of the moves I regret making Now, Tyrion needs to learn to be a better judge of character if he was earnest in his assessment of you. Who said you guys were trying to roll them out of the game? I haven't seen that accusation. I've mostly seen them concerned of the tiering, pretty much. Which is par for the course on a good chunk of wars in this game's history. Like I've stated, it seemed this war was mostly for containment purposes. But with the way how some leaders are talking on both sides, I was suspecting that there may have been more to this than what's on the surface.

Thanks for @ing me so I could know when you responded. Don't worry though, I'm still here. Let's address a few things here. The first of which is, no, you're not gonna wiggle out of this one. You did indeed caution that that tCW bloc joining Swamp would make it too large, I will confirm this is true, you and the other Swamp reps did do this. That being said, the desire of this was not to get tCW on its feet, Tyrion, I'm not gonna let you try to make that argument. More than a few full on discussions happened as to which tCW allies would be dropped, one of which was TEst, although UPN was also another alliance that was named but Sphinx was oddly defensive of UPN for some reason. Embassies in each of the Swamp alliance discords were created, members of tCW flooded into the embassy and the discord and economic dealings were made. On more than a few occasions, including in the group chat and in your own alliance's embassy, things were referred to as tCW proving itself to Swamp, before being given more full fledged access. TLDR; Size was indeed a concern, although that was something that was settled before the treaties were even signed, don't lie to me Tyrion. As for the concern of Sphinx causing tCW to join Quack, don't give me that shit, Tyrion. As was said on @Thalmor's lovely radio show when Sphinx and I were guest stars, @Scratchy asked both Sphinx and I about tCW and the idea of forming hegemonies, due to tCW's history with Hegemonies (IQ). Both Sphinx and myself said neither of us had any intention of that happening and would refuse to let it happen. I believe my exact words were something along the lines of "If something like that was happening, I would retire and walk away, because I won't be part of that" although someone can go watch the show to figure out what I said exactly. Even if we don't want to take what was said at face value, let's look at the reality of the situation. Sphinx did not like TKR or T$. Sphinx, on multiple occasions, talked about wanting to beat Quack because he thought they were too strong and were bad for the game. Sphinx made no secret that he held a lot of bad blood towards TKR stemming all the way back to Knightfall, as he blamed TKR for forcing tCW to stay in the war for the sake of TKR's pride, and that it cost tCW a number of whales and long time members and friends. Sphinx also made no secret about the fact that he had a strong distaste for The Syndicate and its members. Seeing as Sphinx wanted to retain UPN as a direct ally, do you genuinely believe there was any possibility of @Prefonteen allowing tCW to join Quack? The Snake, with UPN in his bloc? I think the frick not. So Quack is out of the picture as a potential ally if Swamp said no, don't give that bullshit excuse, Tyrion. Now, let's look at the other blocs. There was Rose and Camelot, but again, there was no hiding the fact that Sphinx, and more than a few members of tCW gov had strong distaste for Camelot due to certain members there, so the idea of tCW signing up with Rose and Camelot was, while technically possibly, was honestly less likely than tCW deciding to be a neutral and paperless alliance again. The last major bloc out there was Hedge, and I'm sure we don't need to go into details as to why that was not a viable option, but just to make it clear, bad blood between tCW and Grumpy (I remembered Ronnie) due to fighting in NPO's Last Time, as well as the still lingering matter of Sphinx wanting to fight Children Of The Light over the matter of the return of Odin's safekeeping. Big TLDR: Getting tCW on its feet is a lie, and the idea of signing tCW so it didn't sign with other blocs is a lie, because there were no real other blocs tCW was going to sign with.

Its more that we recognize that our proactive steps to appease the irrational fears of parties who are more than sizeable enough to coexist with us and/or defeat us in a multipolar world have gone unrecognized and unappreciated. There is only so much bending over you can do before you have to go "well alright this isn't working". I've had pretty indepth conversations about this with various governments on the opposing side, but im happy to discuss it with you as well. I thought TCW was not a part of swamp, ronny friend? But no, there has been not a single lie in our approach to this to swamp. We can be accused of many things I suppose, but that is not one of them. in terms of logs or rationale ronny friend. It would help when asking around, to start at the source. My DM is pretty empty and lonely. Cobwebs everywhere. This does sound more theatric though and I as an appreciator of the art of drama am content with that. To the bolded part: So, you were on board. Swamp was on board. TCW was on board, and the moment Rose would be on board, you would hit. Ergo, what we received in intel was entirely confirmed. You sought a coalition of the entire game to fight us. That you had not yet moved the pieces into place is absolutely irrelevant to the question of whether the intention and framework we reference in our CB were in place. Even if you individually said no to hitting *without rose*, swamp/tcw had received the signal that if they got rose, you'd hop back on. And with that, this chapter is frankly closed.
