Hey @Alex While i understand not wanting to punish people for making reports, i think it has become clear a lot of people are now reporting bull in the hopes you may agree with them and issue stikes. It really has gotten out of hand and needs to be resolved. If a word 9,000 years ago, when translated on google 3 times, jumping up and down while typing after petting your kitten and making chicken pot pie may have meant something bad back then, but has no current relevance is reported, it obvs is trying to use moderation as a weapon.(example is obvs fake but u get the point) Its time to step up and solve this issue as the admin of the game

I've fought Arrgh, fought along side Arrgh, and am in a pirate retirement community. When they first came around I thought their concept was great, but doomed to fail. You might even say they have failed, but the thing about Arrgh is they march to their own beat and thus by their standards are anything but a failure. They're not a conventional alliance and I mean that in the best way. They couldn't have gotten to where they are with the great, and garbage leadership they've had in the past so here's to Arrgh and their 5 years. I wish you continued fun. Ignore the salty comments from those who don't matter. People who come into milestone celebration threads to throw shade have severe insecurity issues.

I've noticed recently that more rule-breaking posts are staying un-hidden than before, and now they have a red-text notification visible that states that the poster received a warning for their post. This is definitely a step in a good direction, and it's a change that lets forums users learn from the mistakes that they and others might make. Thanks, moderation team!

I know it was all fun and games harassing folks with lynching "jokes" and using the slightly more obscure Waffen SS insignia on your nation pages. I'm not sorry that you're upset that the free ride is over and feel the need to lash out and project your insecurities onto us. You're welcome to delete your nation if you don't like not being allowed to toss slurs around anymore, though. Nobody will miss you.

Honestly, the moderation system has been the exact same for years. It's just getting more inputs now. If you don't trust Alex to moderate, even though he's been clearer and more thorough than most moderators on other sites, you need to stop playing the game if it's that big of a deal for you. Alex has been meticulous in his moderation, even when it would be way more efficient to just ban an obvious bad faith actor on the first offense (like, for example, San Furtando accusing him of taking "jew money"). This mis-characterization of the moderation situation is beyond disingenuous, and it's no surprised that it's devolved into our umpteenth thread about "Communism is worser, why can't I roleplay as Herman Meyer". The ruling has been made clear, over and over again. Just because people have knowledge about what the dog-whistles are that you don't, doesn't mean they aren't dog-whistles. And even if they aren't, that still has to pass through the judgment of the small business owner who operates the game and the forums. The anti-moderation whining and bad faith troll reports have reached new heights of cringe. If this game fails to meet your lofty expectations, you're more than free to go join that other project. I'm sure you'll be playing that game any day now.

Arrgh has been through this many, many times in their life. Their unique style of play permits them to survive things that other alliances cannot. If you actually knew anything, you would know that bragging about "hurrr we pinned arrgh!!!!!" makes you look very dumb, which you are because you're not even 3 months old and you think you know something about a 5 year old community. That is not relevant to your original post, which is that you're accusing me of being biased in favor of GOONS. When asked to provide specific examples, and also being presented with data which shows that if anything I am biased against GOONS, you have not come up with anything. I don't want to waste my time arguing with you about moderation. I'd like to spend my time actually developing new content and improving the game. So unless you have something substantive to say, please let it go and let me close this topic and get to work.

I’m glad Arrgh is around for now. Arrgh is a good training ground for newbies since they kinda fight back but don’t counter or coordinate, it’s kinda like the equivalent of bot practice to get ready to fight actual alliances like Rose and TKR later. That being said TKR and Rose have almost entirely given up at this point.

And while Arrgh is far from old enough to drink (then again, Arrgh! has never been much for rules, like the legal drinking age), as Ogaden would have said: “So here's to you, old girl, I raise my glass of rum and salute the Black Jack!” Arrgh!

Problem: offshores are a pain in the ass to maintain, and cause moderation issues. Solution: remove bank loot = no more incentive to create/maintain offshores. Compensation: adjust beige loot to be an additional 2%, so, 18% with pirate + raid vs turtle, 16% with pirate + raid vs anything not moneybags, 12% with raid + pirate vs moneybags... You get the idea.

And we would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for you meddling kids!

Is this not the OOC board? I tried to read this entire thread just now. I admit I didn't read all of it because a lot of it doesn't really matter. Here's what *I* know as a line member of Coalition B: I'm having fun. It's fun to have the support of my other goons all the time. It's fun to have 4 or 5 wars running at a time and keep my enemies blockaded and beige all the time. Yeah sometimes not perfectly but whatever. It's fun to know that if I ever actually *do* get attacked, 3 goons will be on whoever attacked me, stomping on their faces and giving me a chance to win my war. I've been here 60 days and my nation only prospers. It's fun. I go BRRRRRRRRRRT on folks who have been in the game for...like, years or whatever I guess. That's fun. It's fun to me when some members of Coalition A are so dug in and stubborn that they will attempt to justify their losing the game (really badly) by saying "well you aren't making any money off me, so I win" while I pass them in strength in a matter of days and weeks. Strength that it took them years to build, I imagine. Not just fun, but funny. Really. Damn. Funny. I'm having fun. To Coalition A line members: Are you having fun? Yes, I consider that there was no harm done in the end, and thus no foul. I submitted a report, I @'d the accused so that they were aware that I was asking them what their avatar was. They responded and cursed me out for thinking that a blurry policeman's uniform looked like a Nazi's and Alex closed the thread. Rather than expressing anger at the person who cursed at me, I apologized and stated that I didn't feel fouled by their language. I have thought about the inconvenience - I took time and energy in writing the report discussed - but posting on this forum in response to somebody else isn't all that inconvenient, to be honest. It's no more inconvenient to me than feeling compelled to respond the angry swipes you've been making at others and myself recently. The Supreme Master Joi is a robotic persona, an android avatar of an up-and-coming (and totally fictitious) nation. There is absolutely nothing Nazi-adjacent about my country, my policies, or my nation page.
