  6. "Good morning to all who may be watching. My name is Satan Jacob, your Commander of the Rokkenjima Armed Forces. This broadcast is going out to all across the nation, as well as the rest of the world. I have come on to inform you this morning that as of right now, Rokkenjima is currently under military command. It was earlier today that the Witch Council decided to willfully step down. Before they returned to planet Meta, they made two final decisions. The first was to place Rokkenjima's military in charge of the country. Whether that be permanent or temporary is completely up to us. Secondly, the Council decided to revive the population of the Philippines and halt all repopulation attempts. From here on, further decisions which impact the path Rokkenjima takes rests solely upon myself and my trusted generals. Together, we've made several decisions that we wish to share with the nation and the world. Firstly, as for whom will be in charge of the country going forward, rest assured that the military does not intend to keep its position permanently. As I speak to you all, General Alciel, General Lucifer, and General Esdeath are organizing an election of sorts to determine Rokkenjima's future government. To briefly explain, Rokkenjiman citizens will be responsible for choosing the person they think best represents their species in government. Currently, our nation is inhabited by humans, witches, vampires, demons, angels, fairies, and Diclonii. Each species will vote to determine their representative, and the resulting council will become Rokkenjima's new permanent government. This decision was made to ensure all species that make up Rokkenjima have an equal say in the affairs of the country. A follow-up broadcast will be made once the candidates and election date have been finalized, so stay tuned. Secondly, in regards to foreign affairs, I would like to reach out to the world's leaders in hopes that we can come to an agreement. The actions of the Witch Council against the Philippines were viewed very negatively by the majority of Rokkenjima's population, and us in the military. Although the population of the Philippines has returned, Rokkenjima will nonetheless take responsibility for the events that transpired. It has come to my attention that the Witch Council had invited world leaders to attend talks on the island of Rokkenjima. While holding private talks may be the professional thing to do in this instance, I wish to be fully transparent with everyone who sees this broadcast. Together with General Alciel, Lucifer, and Esdeath, we've decided upon the following terms to present to the rest of the world: Rokkenjima will relinquish its claim to the Republic of the Philippines Rokkenjima will reduce the size of its peacetime military to half its current size Rokkenjima will halt all further chemical weapon research and development, as well as tests Rokkenjima agrees to respect all forms of official government, and will not take military action against any nation based upon its regime Rokkenjima will maintain a policy of armed neutrality, and will not form military pacts with any nation Rokkenjima will abide by international law set in place by official international agencies The Witch Council will not hold power over Rokkenjima's Orbis affairs In return, we ask the rest of the world's nations to agree to the following two terms: No nation will colonize East Asia (this includes the nations of China, Mongolia, and Eastern Russia). Nations that have colonies in East Asia will relinquish their colonies, and either relocate them to Southeast Asia/Oceania to ensure that a constant eye is kept on Rokkenjima, or relocate them elsewhere/completely dissolve them. No nation will blockade Rokkenjima's military vessels from accessing international waters/airspace/territory, or Rokkenjima's territorial waters/airspace/territory, and will not attack Rokkenjima's military vessels in international waters/airspace/territory. Of course, there is room to expand upon the aforementioned terms should the international community feel there is more that should be included. For now, however, I will conclude this broadcast and hope we can reach some sort of agreement soon. Have a great day."

  9. Pendragon With the military movements on standby until the holidays pass over the Court of Pendragon has directed as much focus as it can towards more civil administration work in preparation for a new year. Withdrawal from China was beginning to be written down, allocation of funds usually directed to colonies was being sent instead to public services and finally, an old Arab-era law was put into place which, if it not for fulfilling promises beforehand would have seen mass rioting. While small riots have sprung up in the cities deep within Britannia, high support has mainly come from the borders and overcrowded areas alike. The law is as follows: National Britannian Service which is normally the choice between paid military service for one and a half years or unpaid community service has been changed to mandatory paid military service for able-bodied personal. The limited service options will be changed to suit the desire to avoid combat however, spots are limited. The law will go into effect immediately and anyone currently serving community service will be transferred to the military for a designated amount of time.

  10. The Holy Britannian Empire shook from the heart, the Court of Pendragon. However, not from defeat or any negative actions but rather surprise all the way up to the throne. A military coup of some sort had taken place in a land known well to those in high positions. The world was changing, Rokkenjima was the sole evidence needed for this. A move must be made, for now, a pawn, but soon the Queen. "The Court of Pendragon will be the first to put trust in this new government and halt their support for the Chinese outpost placed in defense during the Witch Council's massacre. We will begin relocation within the next few days and will be gone before the holidays."

  13. Just hard cap cities at 40. Should have done it before people went over 30. Or alternatively, delete all cities over 30 and refund them. That would piss people off tho, but thats never stopped you before lol.

  15. Natural disasters are a great idea. However, I am lukewarm about the fact that it can completely remove the city. When you have to pay over 1 billion to get city 30, it is just devastating to have to pay for that city 30 twice a year. In my opinion it should just send a city down to 0 infra and destroy all improvements.

  17. From 15 cities and above, nations have to pay $100M+ for a new city. With a 25% chance of losing it, I am sure most nations above that level would switch to coal/oil power plants. A nation that is in a proper alliance could get 15 cities within two or three months. So, a nation would have an "advantage" in improvements only for that long. The way the numbers are now, I am sure that the current mechanic will just make all active nations just switch to other power plants, offering no real extra growth advantage to smaller nations. As a theme/mechanic per se, it would be useless but also a little fun. Having things like natural disasters (and player vs game mechanics) is an idea that could spice things up.

  19. Pirates, a harmless nuisance that prayed on the weak and the inactive. However, as Afrika Korps gazes out into the open sea, we no longer see the simple single sailed ships gliding in the waves. The ships are huge, hulking beasts that break waves and spirits. Arrgh is preparing for something as their captains grow in military might. Their captains' numbers grow by the day and their power grows every more worrisome. Light cannons are now replaced with harmless 12 - pounders being replaced with 36 - pounders. Lucky for us our Panzers don't need an upgrade for wooden ships. Afrika Korps declares war on the "alliance" Arrgh so that we may keep the waters clear for Christmas.

  20. Sorcha slowly stood and brushed herself off as she began to follow the President, the Captain following behind but doing his best to stay out of the limelight. "Oh no, cameras are fine, I hooe I look appropriate enough, though! What is planned for the meals, if I may ask early?" Sorcha wasn't picky, she was just a curious girl. "Ah, that makes me wonder... Leading a country doesn't leave a lot of room to be a mom, you really have to pick your days, hoh?"

  21. Why do you think being a whale is a problem? Just because you're not a whale? I don't understand why the admin should try to find a way to damage players that basically did everything right If you are a whale you played the game a lot, you managed your economy well, you won wars or avoided wars with good politics, isn't this the point of the game? Imagine being a player that buyed 10 credits per month every month and used them to become a whale faster and now the admin, the one that gets your money, is thinking a way to remove the advantage you have thanks to those credits If you think a nation is too big just hit them, literally happening right now, hire mercenaries to nuke them, put bounties on their nation, convince them to play keno, there are so many things players can do At best you can make city 40 cost 5B, city 41 cost 10B, city 42 cost 15B, etc. in this way even if you are a whale with super high infra you need a lot of time to buy a new city and other players can get close to you

  28. Countering =/= 'letting them off'. Again, have a talk with your MA or IA dude because either is failing at his job and giving Arrgh openings to raid you. Inactives with no ships make for very appealing raid targets.
    1 point
  29. That's not how you deal with Arrgh. They're profit-oriented, so if your intent is to keep them away, simply mantain decent activity levels and some ships as MMR's. And if a random raid does happen, just counter the guy and make sure that the guy who got raided comes back online and doesn't get beiged. Openly warring them is a waste of time and money. They're used to having no military, so if your intent is to subdue them that way, you won't be having much success.

  34. This is pretty typical behavior, both in real-life militaries as well as in-game. The game is called Politics & War - it's not always fair, but you have to resort to both politics and war to succeed. Start talking to other nations and alliances to see if you can find someone else who will help you out, or build up your military and fight back. As far as I can tell, based on the evidence provided, there's no indication of any in-game rules being broken.

  37. All of this is legal. Some people decide to run their alliance like this, and this is what happens. I'll also point out that a single round of wars on a deserter is relatively light punishment. If it's PZI (permanent zero infrastructure) or eternal war, there are in-game remedies for that. Also, let me point out that Arrgh is actually Typhon's close friends, i.e, they're one of the few people Arrgh won't attack. It's interesting that, first, PS was accepted into Arrgh, when Typhon had a hate-on for him, and that Typhon attacked into the Arrgh AA. There must be an interesting story here. === I also want to point out that your nation link does not work, and I'd like to know if you're the actual Grig Hold. Given your description of Zephyr, it's surprising he hasn't booted you yet.

  39. You guys realise that unlike Girls und Panzer you don't have plot armour right? Attacking Arrgh is basically like the Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan, they'll just drag this out as long as possible and just because you want to call it quits doesn't mean they'll leave you alone. Still good luck to you both.

  41. Sorcha shook her head, "the funds will go where they are needed, where you offer them to go, and no where else. Hopefully we can make something substantial with what you offer us, but the land we currently control is shrinking to the amount of Scots who are joining for freedom. Of course I am no financial wizard, but I'll put the trust in professionals that I know personally, and we will keep up to date with you as much as possible. I will promise that I won't misuse the funds, and I will do everything in my power to make sure it is used properly." She nodded, putting a hand to her chest to show a sign of trust.

  42. Simple. Arrgh has mostly not attacked not profitable/high risk nations. Arrgh has raided mostly high profit / low risk targets. You're one of latter aren't you? (You're TUE, ofc you are, it's rethoric question, pls don't answer) That's your experience as a constant raid target I take it? Like I said earlier, Arrgh does what it does. However when you go and declare war on us, and start hitting people who weren't raiding you before, well, then all you do is paint a big target on your back. You could do that yeah, some bigger alliances have exactly that, dedicated 10 city Arrgh handler experts. Can you imagine your whole point of existnace to counter some random pirate riads? I know right. Other than that, us pirates adapt. You develop some nations to attack us and war us for a long time. I bet you we'll just find a way around that too. But one thing you lack in comparison to us is persitancy. Raid is all we do, and we'll find a way to do it, whether you like it or not. Can't be said same about your endavour. Yeah that was one time, and we all agreed it was bad decision to do it back then. It was supposed to be for a year, but we found a way to get out of that almost 6 months in that thing. Last time we got decently recked was Paper's Please. Almost a week after the war ended, I had my pirates resume raiding TKR, t$ and everyone involved agaisnt us, with our brand new 1 ship and fortify tactics. Was working miracles till our raids forced everyone competent to adapt to us, and to cry to admin till he changed how fortify works. (Found a workaround for that too)

  43. Arrgh is a very proud alliance. Good luck getting a diplomatic solution with them, and the alternative usually costs you more than it costs them. I like Arrgh, I think they're great fighters and a good source of mercenaries. But I do admit that they get out of hand at times. Taking another regular swill, here's to a healthy, lively Arrgh alliance.

  45. Sorcha nodded, and unsure if it was appropriate to ask. She had spoken to some of her people in quiet about it and they thought it was questionable in the first place - the very idea, not about asking the Allied States. "You understand the kind of government the British Internationale is, yes? Well, then you know our odds of ever gaining our homeland back... Neither I nor my military experts have any plans or real... solid plans on any aggressive action, but if we are to survive without our homeland, we only have two options; submit to the British Internationale and be more than dependent, but become more of a puppet, as we have not nearly enough self-sufficiency to support the amount of people we have, or... become so desperate and dependent on our allies. I absolutely love your kindness, but your pay off towards us is going to be near nothing. You may gain capitalist business, but profits will stagnate. If we were to... and this doesn't leave this room... conceive the idea to move against the British Internationale, just to reclaim Scotland... could we discuss having your support? And I wouldn't just mean... approval. I mean... support." The Captain at the door looked nervous, as of fearful of what that question may result in from the Allied States.

  46. I certainly don't want this over. Three of the largest spheres are preoccupied with this war, leaving loads of open raid targets for the neutral spheres/Arrgh
