  1. DoE While patrolling the borders during the latest great war, The Immortals, The Fighting Pacifists, and Soldiers of Liberty were forced out of The Swamp by millions of radioactive ogres. All were victims of nuclear fallout from war. The ogres had doubled in size from the radiation, their skins melted off their bones, and only blood quenched their new thirst. The Immortals, The Fighting Pacifists, and Soldiers of Liberty fought off many. But, with every ogre killed, two more took its place. They were pushed back further and further from the swamp. A new era of ogre surrounded the swamp and created a barrier. With no way to return, these heroes became refugees in Orbis. For a long time, The Immortals, The Fighting Pacifists, and Soldiers of Liberty trudged through the muck of a deep, deep swamp. Boots deep. Boots covered in earth and water... and blood. These are the realities of war. At the edge of the swamp, past all the thick and thistle, is a place where the tree line grows thin. Beyond those tree lines are sand dunes. Past the damp and murky forest full of vegetations, donkeys, and ogres, the land dries up and turns into endless sandy hills. After days of hostile travel, These heroes’ exodus from the tree line was met with hot sand under foot. The sun blistered them head on. Nothing but arid, bone-dried wastelands as far as their eyes could see. Their shadows. The war. Behind them. It was said a promised land could be found in the vast desert. A paradise lost. A sanctuary. An oasis. Off in the distance, a vague tree line of bright greens appeared. A new home was on the horizon. They knew they would arrive soon. They would arrive by morning. When night fell, The Immortals, The Fighting Pacifists, and Soldiers of Liberty looked up to the stars to guide them. Gazing at the endless heavens, a peculiar thing occurred. A supernova of electrifying colors ripped and stretched across the sky. A rift near the quacksphere had opened. An Aurora spaceship tore through the sky. Thousands of duck-like dronecrafts were in pursuit and firing at the spaceship. A loud explosion echoed over the desert as the portal closed and shifted the sands of time. Aurora fought off the drones with aerial maneuvers never seen on Orbis. Lasers firing in every direction. Drones fell from the sky like wounded ducks. The last drones flew into the thrusters of the ship and detonated. The ship’s propellers erupted and the spaceship began to plummet to the earth. The hull burned and the Aurorians inside braced for impact with the sandy knolls. The Aurorians smashed into the dunes with a force that rumbled all of the desert. Bruised and battered, the Aurorians stumbled from the wreckage and were met with a surprise. The Immortals, The Fighting Pacifists, and Soldiers of Liberty were waiting outside. They extended their hands, “Come with us.” Aurora gathered what remaining supplies they had and began their own exodus into the long night. Under twilight, sounds traveled quicker than they. These heroes heard the distinct sounds of axes chopping wood. Off in the distance, a growing fire illuminated a lone tree with great roots and amputated limbs. Purple-folk danced about and fanned the flames higher. Branch after branch piled on. The tree was now a naked pillar. The fire their commonwealth and covenant. “Good evening weary travelers! Join us by the fire and have a drink from our bottles of water,” The United Purple Nation cheerfully declared as they extended out their bottles, “You look parched.” The heroes took the bottles and drank. “This isn’t water!” said The Fighting Pacifists. “This is wine!” said The Soldiers of Liberty. “Sweet nectar of the Gods!” said The Immortals. “ Space juice!” said Aurora. “Why, of course! What else would be in a water bottle?” said United Purple Nations. Well said, they all nodded in agreement. “What brings you to these parts?” asked the heroes. “Rumors of paradise,” said United Purple Nations. “The rumors are true,” exclaimed the heroes, “Join us. We know the way.” As morning dawned, a rooster cock-a-doodle-dooed in the distance. Over the next dune, the trees grew tall and green. The water shimmered so clear you could see into the future. All sorts of animals and vegetations were about. This was the oasis. The rumors were true. The Immortals, The Fighting Pacifists, Soldiers of Liberty, Aurora, and United Purple Nations began to unpack their things. Salvation was here. Members from each alliance grabbed their instruments and began to play and sing, “Don’t Look Back In Anger”. Soon after, everyone began singing and a new bloc was formed. They determined that those who rest at the Oasis will protect one another, vigilant to desert raiders and any who seek to harm them. Weapons were forged, spaceships rebuilt, and grapes were stomped for more wine. It was decided that the lush greenery of the Oasis shall shelter all those who seek refuge from the harshness of the outside Orbis world. This is the Oasis. It’s a place where the limits of reality are your own imagination.

  2. I’ll keep this brief. The Covenant has been around for a very long time. It was the first bloc on Orbis, and up until just a few hours ago, the oldest active treaty in Politics and War. But now, the Covenant truly is a thing of the past. 3 days ago we informed The Commonwealth that we were withdrawing from the treaty in order for us to stake a new path for UPN. The 72hour grace period has now passed and thus, so has the Covenant. Thank you Commonwealth, and thank you to all former members of the Covenant.

  4. Pretty simple suggestion. Add a "veteran player" mask that people can ask for (similar to VIP) that flags them as someone willing to help newbies or anyone with a PnW-mechanics / bug question. Allow people to ping this group with questions. Viola. Newbies don't spam-ping Alex all the time with things, and there's a group of volunteers engaging the newbie community. I will be happy to be the first volunteer.

The more I learn about the history of it and its mechanics, the more interesting it becomes. I really look forward to playing this and participating in the community for a long time. My country is called Cyberjaya, and I am part of United Ummah. Stay safe!

  25. "Murdered protestors with their cars" was not Proud Boys or III%ers. That was a screwed up Nazi who was a terrorist. Kyle RIttenhouse can only be charged with illegal possession of a firearm, as he acted in self defense. This isn't even a debatable point. Not only that, he was not part of the Proud Boys or III%ers. The leader of the Proud Boys is black. Just saying. I've heard plenty of democrats call for Trump to be shot. Your point? The Michigan storming of the government building was not Proud Boys or III%ers, it was an unorganized riot. Which, to clarify so you don't call me a hypocrite, they should have been arrested. The III%ers denounced Jerry Varnell. In fact, you should read the manifesto that the III%ers have. I read it. Cuz I'm an associate member of them. 😛 They weren't III%ers. The cop had previous connections to the III%ers which were never confirmed. Your whataboutism not withstanding, because the groups themselves have never done anything wrong. Sure some crazy mofo goes nuts and does something stupid. Oh, he was part of the III%ers 20 years ago? Apparently now it's their fault. Get your facts straight, and come back when you're ready.

  26. It is with great sadness that I have to inform of the most recent death to the Orbis community. About a month or two ago a member of Terminus Est's high gov, Stavros Cassadine, told us that he had been diagnosed with cancer. In addition to this, he was also battling a heart condition. Recently, his condition severely worsened and he had to go through multiple surgeries, all of which had complications. Nonetheless, like the fighter I knew he was, he came through these operations and just before Christmas came off the ventilator. However, while recovering post-op, he caught Covid-19. This unfortunately he did not survive from. He was a fantastic face to have around our discord and was a great friend to myself and others. I know that all those who knew him will agree with me that he will be missed dearly within our community. Rest in peace Stav. https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=214086 (For your information there is a family member on his account which is the reason he may drift in and out of activity)

  27. I kinda forgot to make a forum account and I've actually never posted in a Introductions topic before in any community so here goes nothing.. Me My name is Andrew but I plan to change it to Ellie. I'm 19 years old and I'm transgender (MtF), I love playing almost every popular game out there. Overwatch would have to be my favorite shooter but my favorite game is Tokyo School life, I cry everytime I play it. There isn't much else happening in my life tho I do hope 2021 will be much better than last year.. I use Discord very often if anyone wants to hit me up and be friends just message me here Ellie_#7492 P.S. Weebunism is best. P.P.S. Anime is a very interesting to watch. P.P.P.S. I Don't really know how to tell my family who I am.

  28. A short while back I suggested this: "@" in buying units - Game Suggestions - Politics & War Forum (politicsandwar.com) It was a widely well recieved quality of life suggestion, i so i tought it would be worth it to expand on it. @ In Alliance Banks Now I am basically proposing the same for people who deposit into the alliance bank. If I remember correctly depositing and withdrawing are 2 diffrent screens so this wouldn't affect people with bank permissions in weird ways. In essence this proposal would make it so that if you type @25000 (for example aluminium), everything in excess of 25000 aluminium would be deposited into the alliance bank. This could be used to make sure you don't have too many resources on your nation just before a war. This would (quite obviously) be limited to the amount of resources you have on hand, you wouldn't be able to do cheeky withdraws this way. @ In Trading This would work just like you would expect it too. When creating a sell offer (let's say @25000 aluminium) everything in excess of 25000 aluminium would be sold at the price you put. When responding to a buy offer it would make it so you have the amount you want (capped at the size of the listed trade). When creating a buy offer (let's say @25000 aluminium) it would create a buy offer for the amount of aluminium you need untill 25000. When responding to a sell offer (let's say @25000 aluminium) you would buy enough resources for you to get 25000 aluminium. The four listed proposals would obviously be limited to the size of the trade offers or to how much you have on hand. This proposal also has an "extension" which would probably make it easier to implement and would be a QoL feauture on it's own, this can be found here: Rounding resources to the closest natural number (QoL) - Game Suggestions - Politics & War Forum (politicsandwar.com) ~~Belgium

  29. The title explains itself. I don't think anyone cares about whatever amount of money behind the decimal point. Will some people gain and some people lose resources?; yes, but the rules will be the same for everyone and the playing field will be equal. This is actually an extension to this: "@" in depositing to the alliance bank + trading (QoL) - Game Suggestions - Politics & War Forum (politicsandwar.com) post I made. Because this proposal might be a lot easier if we round up numbers. (for example what if someone has 25,000.7 aluminium and sells down to @20000, we can't sell .7 of a resource..) This is however a different post because it touches on a completly diffrent thing and people might have reasons to support one and oppose the other. ~~Belgium
