Popular Post Comrade Joe
Hello everyone, Some of you may have heard by now but our beloved friend and comrade RedArmy has passed away this weekend. He died from complications from heart surgery, he was 33. Those who knew him already know this, but he was one of the kindest souls you'll ever meet. He would do anything for anybody, including driving 8 hours across the country to pick up another alliance member who was going through some really rough times, and helping them secure a place to live. Although we've only been playing this game together for 4-5 years, he ended up becoming like a brother to me, and to most of ASM. He was someone who would always listen to you, and help guide you through whatever rough patch you were going through. He was so genuine in an era where that doesn't exist. We went on an ASM camping trip last year, and it was a blast, except our first night camping we were crushed during Guns & Roses, and 3/4 of ASM's gov't was off in the woods drinking, out of cell service. Red was the only one who had cell service and when he got the notifications he promptly turned the phone off, and casually mentioned it to me a few hours later... deep into inebriation. Red was one of the most selfless people I've ever met, and that I will ever meet. He constantly gave others everything he had, whether it was emotionally, physically or even financially. He kept nothing for himself. This was true even in death. With his last dying breath he was able to hold on long enough to make it possible to donate several organs so that others could live. ASM will never be the same. He was the bedrock of our community, the glue that held a bunch of political stalwarts from delving into chaos every waking moment. There aren't enough kind words I can say about Red. Please pour one out for our fallen brother. We are heartbroken. If you are interested there is a gofundme for his family, i've posted it in ASM's discord server. In the interim I have taken over leadership of ASM. See you on the other side brother. Rest easy. Love Yinz. 188

Popular Post BrythonLexi
Redarmy is still in our hearts and in how he shaped us for the better. No man is perfect, but he sure came damn close. I fondly remember the times we'd go to Sheetz and just talk about the day. I also remember when we'd play EU4 with our comrades, and how him and I would make diplomatic deals regarding northern Italy so I could form the tag and he could be the cool Savoy. And the time he brought himself and friends to Gettysburg, and would talk at length about the battle and the Civil War in general - he reenacted, and knew a lot of cool Civil War songs. Red taught us to remain true to ourselves and be kind and compassionate towards all. He taught us how to be strong without spiraling into rage. His compassion and kindness showed no bounds. He brought me to Pennsylvania to have a home, driving for countless hours just to help a friend in need. We'll never meet a man as wholesome as Red, but may we all be more wholesome because of his life and how he touched us all. Rest in Power, Red. You're with God and John Brown's army now.
Popular Post Comrade Joe
If you want to know what kind of person Red was outside the game, I went to visit him in the hospital today and there were a lot of people there who he played various games with that felt like they needed to give something back to him because he was so generous to them. So they went to say their goodbyes to someone they met playing games like P&W on the internet. This honestly blew my mind that he had such an impact with so many people, but that's also why I was there. He was declared brain dead yesterday after complications from heart surgery. He never woke up. However he was kept on life support so that his last wishes, which were donating his organs so that others may live, could be seen to fruition.
Popular Post Kevanovia
One of the kindest people I have encountered in these nation simulator games. Incredibly devastated by this news. Popular Post Shabriri
My Condolences. There are few people willing to go so far for people they only know through the internet. He sounds like a great person and someone who went out of his way to help as many people as possible. 13 Quote Schwarzer | 186007 | Weebunism

Popular Post Changeup
Just now, Comrade Joe said: However he was kept on life support so that his last wishes, which were donating his organs so that others may live, could be seen to fruition. His last wish speaks volumes about the kind of person Red was. He'll be missed by this entire community. Rest in peace, Zach/Red.
Popular Post Monti
Even If I never really interacted with Red. "RedArmy" would always come up as the friendliest players both in servers and the yearly awards. I can tell by the reaction that people have, that everyone enjoyed the time that they had with Red. I almost broke down after seeing he donated his organs too. He will be missed. No matter what our "Characters" are and how we portray them. At the end of the day, we are still human.I don't know how much value I have in this universe, but I do know that I've made a few people happier than they would have been without me, and as long as I know that, I'm as rich as I ever need to be. - Redarmy (Quote from His Nation Page)

Popular Post Kyubnyan
I wasn’t aware of Red’s untimely death until this morning, just after arriving at work. It hit me like a ton of bricks and I have just gotten home to type this and it’s really starting to sink in. Red was a one of a kind dude and made a huge impact on me over the many years we had come to know each other. We would confide in each other and have a few laughs all at the same time. I had known him for a long while in my time playing Politics and War but we became extremely close when I joined Church of Spaceology in 2018. He was a loyal ally when we shared common goals and always my favorite person to interact with when we found ourselves on opposite sides of a war because he was always a good sport whether he was winning or losing. Although he may be gone I will never forget him. 27 Quote Humans cannot create anything out of nothingness. Humans cannot accomplish anything without holding onto something. Popular Post Sargun
Someone said people die twice: Once when their heart stops beating, and again when someone thinks of them for the final time. Red's still around. He's the kind of guy whose second life will last until the end of all of ours. See you around.

Popular Post BigMorf
Red might've been my favorite dude outside of TKR to just shoot the breeze with. Dude was always just so fun and kind, even when things weren't necessarily going his way. He was always quick with an UwU, quick to rag on my reds, quick to encourage me to do something, like start a radio show... Giving me nitro on my birthday. Even when most of the game was (probably rightfully) bashing at me for the Hollyrose move, Red was in my DM's checking to make sure I was doing okay and to make sure I remembered that things were just a game and to take care of myself mentally. He died as he lived. Making life better for others. I will miss him dearly. One last UwU for my friend. Rest In Peace Zach/Red. 25 Quote The Knights Radiant Ghostblood Babsk of Foreign Affairs Journey before Destination.

Popular Post TigerFire
You have been a friend to me since I started this game 3 years ago. Life is short, and you show me the value of sincere kindness. Not many of us can even hope to touch as many lives as you did, and that is an incredibly powerful thing. Rest in Paradise, my friend. You will be missed ❤️ Edited June 19, 2022 by TigerFire
Popular Post Kiloist II
I'm genuinely heartbroken. Red, you talked to me years ago during one of the most trying times of my life for hours like I was a friend of yours that you had known your whole life, despite not knowing much about me. I've spent all day trying to word the feeling I have. You were one of the kindest, most genuine, and all-around great people that not only I had the pleasure of knowing but so many others. I'll never hear the word yinz the same again. When I was told, I didn't want to believe it, he was in such high spirits the other day and making jokes. I'll miss you friend, hell I already do. Rest easy my friend. You'll be terribly missed.
