Administrators Popular Post Alex Posted October 24, 2017 Administrators Popular Post Share Posted October 24, 2017 Good news everyone! I've fixed the treaty web. Even better news, the treaty web will now be automatically configured based on in-game treaties! What should you know about in-game treaties? They are not enforced. The only slight exception to this is that for two alliances, if they have any kind of treaty between them, members from either alliance will not be allowed to declare war on the other. This does not prevent espionage, it does not, prevent leaving the alliance->declaring war->rejoining the alliance, and it does not prevent existing wars from continuing. You are limited to a set number of options based on what the Treaty Web had before. If you sign a treaty that is not included in one of these options, you can either mark it as one of the options, or choose to not include it in-game. There is nothing requiring you to list treaties in-game. Treaties expire automatically after a set period of time. The maximum length of time for a treaty is 6 months. The reasoning behind this is to (even if only slightly) encourage the use of expiration clauses in treaties so that the political dynamics of inter-alliance politics will be less static. Only alliances above a score threshold (currently 35,000) will show on the treaty web. Only up to the top 50 alliances will show on the treaty web, if there are more than 50 with greater than the score threshold. Only treaties between two alliances both on the treaty web will be listed on the treaty web. The treaty web now has its own link in the sidebar, and can be found here: https://politicsandwar.com/alliances/treatyweb/ You do not have to use the treaty web or in-game treaties. They are an entirely optional mechanic, and if for any reason you are unhappy with this mechanic, please feel free to ignore it. I will re-iterate again: I will not be doing anything to enforce treaties, and I will not be forcing anyone to list treaties in-game. This is for the ease of automating the treaty web. Treaties can be proposed, cancelled, and approved in the Alliance Control Panel. Officers, Heirs, and Leaders have access to the Alliance Control Panel, and so anyone in those positions can approve, cancel, or propose treaties. I may change these permissions in the future, but for the time being, you should be aware that that is how it is configured. You cannot have more than one treaty between two alliances at a time. This is to reduce spam and clutter. For Protectorate treaties, the one who proposes the treaty is considered the "Protector." I believe that's the most important information, if you have any other questions please ask below. I will do my best to update this post with common questions to make everyone's lives easier. Lastly, I just want to say, that having no treaties looks pretty cool. You can see the bare treaty web (with no treaties) here: https://i.imgur.com/F7kKygQ.png 19 2 Is there a bug? There's a lot of smaller, established alliances situated between 35,000 and 20,000 score which should be represented here. For example, we currently have half of the Bad Company bloc left out of the treaty web.
