  1. Atlas Technologies Administration Offices Announcement: Organizational Update Public Relations: Tali Corporate Contact: Jordan To: Stakeholders; Shareholders; World Community Earlier this week, Atlas Technologies Administration initiated their succession process for the Chairman role of the organization. Mad Max - Chairman of the Board lead the effort to identify and assess potential candidates for consideration by the full board of directors. The duty of the acting Chairman is to provide the vision of the organization as a whole and after assessments were made and complete a successor has been identified. Mad Max has maintained his position as Chairman for the organization's existence, some 227 days. During this time, shares have risen and internal and external growth goals have been met. Earlier this quarter, Atlas Technologies saw a partnership upgrade with their early investor, Camelot and the organization has maintained a low turnover rate for employment carrying on average 40 employees. Statement from Mad Max - Chairman of Atlas Technologies "Over the course of my career in leadership here - I have often times acted with ill-pride and ego which has led to a more abrasive characteristic of myself. During the creation of our great company, I accepted the role as Chairman to champion our group ideas to build a foundation of progression, difference, and quality - things I have failed at in the past. My time within the highest role within Atlas Technologies has only been made successful by the great leadership team we have installed over the course of our existence in Orbis - I cannot take full, only partial credit for our successes over the last 227 days. My departure from the role as Chairman is not due to any personal reasons, nor the duties tasked to me as Chairman - rather - I want to continue championing the foundation principals of our company that we hold deepest to our core. Putting my pride and ego to the side and allowing fresh eyes and further progression into our operations is a necessary move to continue to meet our goals and add further success to our portfolio. At the time of this announcement to our employees, stakeholders, and shareholders - I would have already confirmed leadership transitions and installed Jordan as the new Chairman of Atlas Technologies. Jordan has not only embodied the principals of our organization, but he has consecutively gone above and beyond his own duties within his role as Director of Strategic Investments. Included in this decision and assessment of Jordan as successor was not only his role within the company, but his role as a friend to me as well as to many others throughout the world of Orbis. His attitude, demeanor, and character profile is and has always been outstanding. The role of the Chairman is to provide the vision for the future of the company - if anyone is qualified the most for this charge, it is Jordan. Thank you Board of Directors for your support during my lead and Congratulations to Jordan for your new role as Chairman of Atlas Technologies. I know in my heart, you will go above and beyond where I left it. Mad Max Atlas Technologies Administrative Offices" TL;DR Mad Max has stepped down as Chairman of Atlas Technologies & the Sweet Sweet Boy from Narnia is the successor.

  2. I Personally don't like the design, I don't see a reason to make people click multiple times in order to access different areas, currently i can go to forums immediately, or go to my revenue page immediately if i wanted to. If i wished to i could go back a page then immediately click to my current wars. With this change i would have to click a drop down every time, perhaps its just me but i would really prefer the current design over this with how many pages there are. Though I don't know anything about design.

  3. I am repeating myself here, but war goals are a means to something. Most of the time, they reflect political goals. If the goal of Mythic is to become rich and of TEst to stop being raided, I think that the one winning right now is not TEst.

  4. The fact that you don’t see the irony in your statement baffles me. Swamp has been spamming forums with shite propaganda, and in every PnW Discord server, you can hear them rambling on and on about how “Swamp good Arrgh bad”. And yet, you decided to call in your entire bloc, just to fight Arrgh. And, you aren’t even bold enough to follow through on your own words. Where’s that 800 infra per city, Alexio? As stupid as this whole micro conflict may be, don’t forget that you do the exact same. You’re no better.

  6. Hello Community, Help us with some positive feedback on these mockups. Concept: Design a responsive Header for menu responsiveness across all devices - with the most visual change on larger displays (pc, large tablets). This change will likely not change the look of those used to the mobile menu - other than possible shortening of menu lists. Mobile users are already used to the top Nav options they can use as well as clicking the 3 horizontal line (hamburger) menu icon to access the sidebar/dropdown full menu. That would all likely just be updated to fit the form. Again, those on mobile might see an update in the look/feel - but would still use the menu the same way. These mockups are for what they would look like on a larger display which many people use. Lastly, these are just design concepts - the actual look of the real deal would be polished, we create mock-ups of the ideas to have a visual of what the community or Alex has asked for so that the site development lady and Alex can actually implement it into the site. Some feedback from the discord community was: -Have the option for either top or sidebar This likely will not be happening - we will be redesigning the header/footer of the site so that Alex can get in and start work on the body - this opens the door to a total site redesign to bring it to a modern age. Our goal is to have the top nav be a bit more user friendly, quick access to links users use most frequently and limiting the dropdown box size. Here are some mock-ups created by team member, Viselli: Image shows top nav with resource bar on top - no dropdown shown.^ Image shows top nav with resource bar on the bottom - with drop down example. ^ Image shows top bar nav with resource bar on top - with drop down example. ^ Do your thing community - give us the feedback! Remember, focus on the concept and not the details of the image.

  8. Arrgh can never be defeated because they are one of the very few alliances that breeds fierce individualists who choose to work together. Almost every other alliance is only as strong as their organisational skills. Arrgh has no real organisation, and is infinitely adaptable as they dominate their chosen ecosystem. If you want to defeat Arrgh, you have to do that 6 month campaign to Yarr...

  9. I think it makes the most sense to have the resource bar above the drop down menu, as its not obscured by the menu when you open it.

  10. Ya I don't like that at all. On mobile it would be a terrible nightmare and I think also would be worse then the current navigation on a computer. The sidebar allows you to easily access everything without having to go through annoying drop downs or additinal navigation screens.

  11. Every week, each alliance gets a boss/army of nations to fight. The total amount of damage done by the alliance times a multiplier equals to the total amount of loot the alliance is getting.

  14. Just gotta make sure it's not finicky that way. I can't remember at the top of my head specifically, but there are websites that have had issues doing it like that. Definitely looks better than the original post. If you were to go with something like this, i think the gray would be fine.

  16. That is where the 'minimal style' comes in to play - we want to take that bulk of the menu and actually shorten it up. I apologize if that wasn't clear - this post just shows and is looking for feedback on a top nav. Resource bar below or above. Simple. Here's some plans for the future of this project: 1. We want to minimize the clicks - so while we are working on this project, we also have other projects underway that reduce the amount of screens you see to get to the destination you're heading. For example - military units. There are 7 separate pages to update/edit your units. We want to make this 1 screen with all of the information provided for you to 1 click or input your own value for units. This would require 1 link at the top nav for 'military' instead of 7. 2. High Traffic Links - like you said and like @Hime-sama just said mirroring your feedback in a DM on discord - we don't want you to have to navigate through a drop down to get to those high traffic links like; revenue, wars, trade...etc. When we minimize the style of the menu and when I say minimize I don't mean make the font smaller - just the scale of the menu. You'll be able to group those low traffic links into their categories, stuff that doesn't need that fast response.... and then provide your personal high traffic links to the top nav for one click access. So, take a look at this mockup I just threw together real quick (don't mind the spacing, color, etc....this is just a general idea of what we are actually heading for) So, the left side will have your hot/high traffic links that some of y'all are worried about losing access to - not every one is there right now because I just threw this together in 5 minutes. The left side holds your heavy menu items like world, community, account - and of course your inbox. I added some flair to the inbox just to show what we could go for. View Nation, Revenue, My Wars, Alliance, (add military) would be all one click access. Things that i'm posting to the design team and alex right now are: -Lets make those hot links configurable to players - we can do that on mobile, so why not on larger displays. This way you're in control of what you want for your hot link access - if you're a raider, get your war military options, if you're a trader - get your market, options....etc. I hope this helps better with a visualization of where we *want* to head to - but again the primary focus here was 'hey, y'all like a top nav.' This does help tho. Shoutout to Hime for helping me out with the mock.

  22. You should do a recomplete rework of the UI and visual assets in general. Do it from the ground up so everything is tied together with a nice cohesive design. Be creative about it, 1995 was 25 years ago and changing the position of a button is hardly a 'concept'.
    1 point
  23. That's kind of strange considering I'm pretty sure most players play a large or even majority amount on mobile. I almost never access it from my PC, personally.

  24. Please keep in mind the mock ups are far from a finished product, they are to help get a sense of where things go, not so much a reflection on final appearances. Also this process will almost not effect the mobile navigation at all.

  30. Do you know which continents are in each hemisphere then? I'm guessing Asia is in the north, so if you're in Jakarta would that still put you in the northern hemisphere, while when I was in Africa it had me in the south, so would that also apply to someone in Egypt? If this is the case I'd guess: North: North America, Asia, Europe. South: Australia, Africa, South America, Antarctica. Is this right?

  31. I’m fairly certain the game assigns seasons based on continent rather then specific nation location.

  32. We didn't call them, we dropped them some time ago. They are allied to our prot tho. It's up to Pantheon not to us to decide what they should do in this situation. We're basically seeking for white peace with tcm and chb but opposite side refusing it. Basically Nokia does. He even speaks for CHB in peace talks. We don't want to be bullies but we have really no choice rn. If you need proof just contact with Kan he will provide you screenshots. Nokia is stubborn as a mule.

  33. There's a pretty big difference between you band wagoning in against an alliance already dead in this war, (Mind you its an offensive so you're activating your oAP aspect of your treaty, you're not coming to the defense of an ally when they were the aggressor) compared to our last global. Whilst it was no question who'd win the Swedge v TCW war, we at least had the ability to dish out some decent damage and despite our losses wouldn't be too hard pressed to rebuild. Also, I wouldn't call peoples reactions here as "shocking", they just think Pantheon is a joke. I know some people aren't too fond of Nokia and co, but I really don't understand this burning hatred of them to try and snuff them out every time they appear. Not like anyone else would come to the aid of Pantheon, so the long name alliance is really all Six and his couple dozen multis have to go upon. ;,p

  36. While i am not a great fan of oligarchies either, i am up for playing the devil's advocate here. For oligarchies i do believe what you just said is true, or atleast for the oligarchies that is pretending to be a different type of government. For open, honest oligarchies who's system is built up around the fact that the rich rules you can get a different result. Most prominent example is the Republic of Venice, who holds record of the longest-lived form of government ever. By me bringing them up in a discussion about oligarchy, you can well guess what type of goveremnt they where. Venice is a 1300 year old city, that was founded not soon after the collapsed of the westen roman empire, where a bunch of citizens from former roman cities had gotten tried of always being invaded, so they decided to all get up and move out into the middle of a lagon. Where they first settled on a bunch of small unstable islands, that had habbit of disappearing and reappearing when tides happens. It didn't take the Venetians long before they decide they needed something more stable to build on so they started to burry long wooden pilings deep into the swampy ground. And with some amazing luck, the wooden pillars instead of rotting, became petrified, turning the wood into stone over time. Which is still what is holding up the marble covered buildings of Venice to this day. Ups went a bit of course there, but as much as Venice itself was built out of necessity, so was it government. Being smack in the middle between two massive empires, byzantine(easten roman empire) and the Franks(what would become France) the early Venice struggled with securing it independence and security. As different factions within the cities wanted to turn towards one of the two empires, with another faction wanting to persevere Venice neutrality at all cost. These three factions did everything they could to stop the other two from gaining an upper hand. The result was the ground works of an inconceivably well balanced government that ruled with almost no hiccups for over 1,000 years. Venice became an republic, who elect it leader, the Doge. Who did serve for a lifetime, with only aristocrats and a bit later on the merchants class being able to vote. And while Doge was just one individual, he wasen't all powerfull, he was overseen by tribunes with veto power Assisted by an assembly of noble citizenry and several small councils to help with legislation and administration. For a medieval government this amount of civic engagement not to mention thorough checks and balances is nothing short of jaw-dropping, that made the Republic of Venice able to last from the 8th to the 19th century surrounded by seemingly endless war. Yet it maintained one stable and Independent government until it's end. And it did more then just survive, it thrived, the marble didn't come out of nowhere afterall. The answer to this was of course trade, Venice created one greatest trade empires ever. And it's goverment had a large hand in making that possible, as every aspect of maritime trade from routes and cruise to ship construction and cargo was all being governed by goverment councils, called Signoria. And it worked because the Signoria was made up of merchants. Additionally, the State Treasury itself acted as a bank providing loans and even commerce insurance to support merchants as well as publicly funding the construction of ships in the artisan alley, which fun fact Developed mass production techniques that went unmatched until the Industrial Revolution. The artisan alley could turn out one full ship in a day. The adjective of Venetian was practically a synonym for efficiency in the late Middle Ages, something the city held onto until the arrival of Napoleon several centuries later.

  39. Since I pretty much invented the idea of offshore, and founded Yarr for that purpose, I offer the following suggestion to fix the problem that it now represents. When I left Yarr, we had over 60 bil in cash alone. All that needs to happen is that when a bank officer is blockaded, he or she cannot access the bank screen or make any transactions. This will still enable the process to work, but make it possible to disrupt its function...
