InGen is all about tomorrow's technology, today. Ever since its founder Dr. John Parker Hammond dreamed up the idea to access prehistoric life from preserved DNA in fossilized amber, InGen's headquarters in San Diego, CA have been busy at work collecting the world's most comprehensive genomic library. Their work paved the way for the first prehistoric animal to be brought back to life in 1984 and since then have learned valuable lessons about control and environmental issues which have helped shape the company into what it is today.

The acquisition of InGen by Masrani in 1998 hasn't changed the scientific focus placed on the company, and former CEO Simon Masrani had looked to experienced geneticist Dr. Henry Wu to guide the company ever since - with results often exceeding expectations for investors. Thanks to Masrani, InGen has been reinvented and is bringing tomorrow's science, today...

With more and more advances being made in genetics, InGen has decided to spread its work across the globe and touch many locations throughout Orbis. InGen plans to team up with investors to continue to research further genetics and figure out what exactly comes next. 

 

With the untimely death of former CEO Simon Masrani - InGen's Board of Directors now has control over all assets and locations once owned by the Masrani Corporation. The new chain of command is listed below along with a copy of our current company policies. In addition to that, please make note of our list of Investors at the bottom of this memo - investors, we thank you for your assistance in furthering the future of genetics.

Company Policies 

 

Employment Opportunities

  • Any person(s) seeking employment to InGen must do so by properly applying in-game as well as through the Career Opportunities forum on our website.
  • Each potential employee will be interviewed - as well as be reviewed by the InGen board of directors for employment.
  • If chosen for employment - and based on game experience and age - the employee will be tasked with taking part in "on the job" training before receiving full employment status.

InGen Code of Conduct

  • All InGen employees as well as the Board of Directors are to:
    • value and respect one and other
    • support all walks of life and take the side of their fellow peers
    • build relationships and work as a team
    • be mindful of the impact of our words and actions on the morale of others

InGen Public Relations (PR) and Public Relations Experts (PRE)

  • InGen fosters an open door policy in reference to PR
  • Those seeking PR with InGen are asked to simply fill out a form for access and badge to our facilities
  • PRE's that are representing businesses that are not directly linked to InGen will receive access to a public PR Room
  • PRE's that are directly linked to InGen will receive access to our Hilton Isla Nublar Resort with private rooms and full amenities.
  • InGen asks that all PRE's take responsibility for themselves here in our facilities and follow all rules of conduct

InGen Information Gathering and Raid Policies

  • InGen fosters an environment for healthy international raids and information gathering.
    • The term healthy means: under the correct conditions as set by the world of Orbis as well as the Board of InGen.
  • InGen employees must not attack any member of any alliance, organization, or pact within Orbis.
  • InGen employees must also receive a 'Certificate to Raid' - failure to obtain this certificate will result in disciplinary actions against your employment status with InGen.

InGen Chain of Command and Operations

  • InGen Board of Directors
    • The IGBoD make up the high governing body of InGen. These members will make the ultimate decisions for the company and hold all power. Any decisions that need to be made will not be made without passing through the IGBoD.
    • Should a member of the IGBoD steps down a general election will be performed to find a suitable addition to the IGBoD team.
    • Members of the IGBoD will be reviewed by the COO and General Membership on a 3 month basis.
  • Chief of Operations
    • When filled, will be a member of the Board. This individual will be tasked with overawing the daily activity of InGen. They will sit below the IGBoD - but above the Management divisions within InGen.
    • Appointed by the IGBoD
    • Given a monthly review from the IGBoD as well as General Membership
    • Newly appointed COO's will be given a 30 day probation period. After probation, the duties and actions of the COO will be reviewed by the Board of Directors.
  • Managers
    • Managers deal with the day to day functions of each sector. (Internal Affairs, Defense, Economics, Foreign Affairs)
    • Elected Position with a term of 2 months
    • Newly appointed Managers will be given a 30 day probation period. After probation, the duties and actions of the Manager will be reviewed by the Board of Directors.
  • Employees
    • All basic membership of InGen will be called an Employee

  4. Employees 

InGen Policy Amendments

  • Any Employee can propose an InGen Policy, but in order to pass it has to gain the support of 50% of the general membership + 1 and two of the IGBoD. 

InGen Chain of Command Removal

  • There comes a time where a member of the Chain of Command is not fulfilling his or her duties. InGen holds a policy where this member can be forcibly removed from their said position. 
  • Any Employee can work to remove a member of the Chain of Command. In order to pass it has to gain the support of 75% of the general membership +1, two IGBoD members, and two Sector Managers.

InGen Employee Removal Policy

  • To Start - the Employee Removal Policy must only be used if there is a threatening emergency to the company or to the fellow Employees of InGen. This emergency can come from within the confines of InGen Facilities or abroad. 
  • In order for an Employee to be removed from InGen: 50% of the general membership +1 and two members of IGBoD must agree. OR Each member of IGBoD (3) and the COO + two Sector Managers.

I saw you guys knocking about for a while already and was waiting for this. Congrats guys though I notice you guys are quite attached to the corporation theme.

So many other good names out there based on corporations. InGen is a good one.
