Also we're still not a hegemony." They abandoned their obligations to begin with so the treaty was already violated. They no longer saw us an ally and excluded us from their FA direction and committed hostile actions. We were not informed of their plans to treaty Carthago and OWR and it was deliberate and not an oversight, so we looked fricking stupid when those treaties went up and they exited. Straight up. You're the one that A. lied to them, B. excluded them from your FA direction, and C. openly attacked them. You're the ones that violated the treaty, period. The objective truth is quite simple: You lied to T$, you acted on your paperless ties to BK ahead of your full paper treaty obligations to T$, and then you openly attacked T$'s protectorate (attack on protectorate is an attack on protector, that's objectively the standard language of all protection treaties including your own so don't even think about weaselling on that front). If you can't see that objectively, then that is in fact your problem.

And another thing, if you felt that the treaty wasn't being honored then why didn't you follow through on that and cancel instead of leading them on for all this time? The onus was on you to cancel, and by not doing so you prove that you never had any intention to honor the treaty yourself. Meanwhile, no part of the treaty restricted either them or you from allying with anyone, which is a thing that NPO did as well. On several occasions.
