Popular Post Prefontaine
Everything is static Normally when I make announcements like this I've an idea of how I want to say what I'm going to say, so time to improvise. Lets go. TEst is the longest running paperless alliances in Orbis. I'm one of the leaders that ran the paperless group which dominated the political scene early in Orbis. Because of that I have a special place in my heart (see: murder hole) for paperless alliances, I want to see them succeed, but it's not easy. Paperless alliances are at a constant risk of being targeted, or seen as an easy target because there aren't half a dozen treaties visibly tied to them and this puts us all in a precarious position. For this fact alone Terminus Est places Roz Wei under our protection while they get themselves back on their feet. Over the next few days I will be speaking with alliance leaders of alliances I associate closely with to give a further detail of what this means, as clearly there won't be a papered agreement explaining what our protection entails and such. If a problem were to occur between say Syndicate and UPN, chances are there would be several attempts at diplomacy before the risk of a war really became a reality. That is the point of this. With paperless alliances it's all too easy to simply solve your problems with war, rather than diplomacy as paperless alliances don't typically run the risk of sparking a massive war. That's not the case with TEst, and now that's not the case with Roz Wei. I'm not saying diplomacy wasn't used in this recent TKR/BoC incident, I'm not saying TKR/BoC weren't justified in their war. I'm simply saying diplomacy will be a more attractive offer now, because it comes with strong consequences to go to war. What paperless means is often disagreed upon over the history of Orbis. However, it cannot be disputed that paperless alliances have had an important hand on crafting the political world we all inhabit (#paperlessallianceslivesmatter). We create an interesting dynamic to compliment your papered world, and now I'm going to help protect that. While Roz Wei and TEst have different political friends and enemies, we can stand united in our paperless stance. tl;dr: TEst is protecting Roz Wei for an undisclosed amount of time and through undisclosed means.

Spite
Despite all the blather, most treaties are basically "we will declare to protect you and might declare with you" extrapolated into a few paragraphs of jargon. So long as you're going to honour this agreement to defend Roz Wei, you are basically making one of those treaties with them. So basically there is paper there whether you actually wrote some rubbish with articles etc or not. 4 Quote ☾☆ Priest of Dio just because the Nazis did something doesn't mean it's automatically wrong
Insert Name Here
Even if in practice it might not mean much (right now TEst have barely anyone in range of any Roz Wei member), I salute TEst for this initiative. I too believe paperless alliances create a different and interesting dynamic in the game and I say this even tho I'm in t$, who have a bazillion treaties. I'm sure Roz Wei and Arrgh will get back on their feet soon. I like them both, especially Arrgh, who make the game much more exciting for everyone. I also like TEst a lot, so good luck to all of them!

Or not have any agreements? Cause the latter isnt paperless its neutrall and thats a whole difrent cake. And the former is just silly. Sorry for poor spelling, idc to try. There is nothing wrong with having treaties. I think it is a fine treaty and honorably done, sir. Tiber
Please see the third paragraph and know I don't care what you think. You don't get to tell us what paperless means. pa·per·less: relating to or involving the storage or communication of information in electronic form, rather than on paper. This treaty declaration is in electronic form, so you are still paperless! So is everyone else, but oh well.
