supercheese Posted August 4, 2015 Share Posted August 4, 2015 1) MembershipAcceptance: In order for a potential member to be accepted into Trident he or she must complete an application process set forward by the government. Should they fail the process, it is the decision of the government if they get another attempt. Rights: All fully accepted members are granted the right to military protection, involvement in economic programs, and involvement in internal alliance affairs. Members are also granted the inalienable rights of free speech and to defend oneself against accusations. Responsibilities: As a member of Trident you are expected to put the alliance and its goals first. To this end you will be expected to follow the orders of your superiors; fight in defense of Trident, her allies, and her interests; and maintain a certain level of respect at all times. Violation of these responsibilities can result in the stripping of certain rights, and if necessary, expulsion. Resignation: Any member can resign from Trident at any time, except during times of war. Any member that reaches a set limit for nation inactivity will be considered resigned. The only exception is if proper notification had been given to a government official. Expulsion: Expulsion is the last choice scenario, used when all other options have been exhausted. During an expulsion process the member will be publicly interviewed by King Neptune or his designee. The member will be given the chance to defend his case before a final decision is reached by a government vote. 2) Government King Neptune: The highest authority in Trident, he is the leader. He represents the alliance to the outside world. He has the sole authority to set the foreign policy, sign treaties (including peace treaties), declare war in defense of an ally, appoint the Prince of the Sea, direct goals and responsibilities for the Paredrae, and weild any other power that doesn't conflict with this charter. Prince of the Sea: The second in command, he can weild every power of the King in event of his absence, and can weild any power appointed to him by the King. The prince is also the successor of King Neptune. Paredrae: The Paredrae are a group of four or more members of the alliance, responsible for the inner workings of Trident. Each Paredrae is responsible for the proper running of his or her respective field, The four basic fields being Defense, Internal Affairs, Diplomatic affairs, and Economics. Additional fields can be created if needed at the decision of King Neptune. In the event of a vacancy, the collective government will vote in a new Paredrae. War: A declaration of war requires a 2/3rds majority vote by the collective government. The only exception is in the defense of an allied alliance. 3) Ammendments and Impeachment Ammendments: Any member can submit a charter amendment to the Government for a public vote, who will decide whether to bring it to vote or not. An ammendment requires a 2/3rds majority vote to pass. Impeachment: Any member may bring any leader for an impeachment case. In the event the case is against King Neptune or the Prince, the Paredrae will handle the impeachment process, and vice-versa.
