  1. I still think it should be renamed to Shitposting and Spreadsheets.

  2. Your nation is 9 days old and assume to be an expert in the game? The game isn't about the game.

  3. Hmm, I think I'm starting to put all the puzzle pieces together properly... Smith = Hitler Smith is persecuting TGH. Hitler persecuted the Jews. According to some of TGH government, TGH = The Jewish Diaspora TGH is The Golden Horde If you do some slight changes to the spelling and inflectional endings, their name is The Gold Hoarders Hoarding wealth is a common anti-Semitic trope in Christendom, whom TGH happens to be allied to. European anti-Semitism led to the murder of over 6 million Jews, some would claim. There are still a few missing pieces, but there is clearly something bigger going on here. What are the greater powers of Orbis hiding from us? Why aren't more people asking questions? Am I reading this correctly? p.s. @Fraggle

  5. I'm sure this has literally nothing to do with current BK gov being angsty perpetual victims who's only game related skill is merging in dying alliance. Nope. All Lordship's fault.

  7. Hi Thrax, Yeah this thread looks like a train wreck I'd mostly like to avoid. The history was where Thalmor basically had a discussion with Shifty about raiding and he jokingly said Pantheon looked juicy. I believe Shifty then hit them or something. The log was leaked and Pantheon cancelled KT on the intel clause. It caused quite a large amount of fallout including the resignation of Thalmor. Most of that Pantheon gov then managed to get themselves into prominent positions in TCW, which was ironic because within less than 6 months we again had an ODP with people who just cancelled us. So therefore, yeah if they then failed to inform KT over a war being plotted against us imo it looks hypocritical. Even if you take the pretence that the plot wasn't threatening, apparently Shifty rouging a top 10 alliance was enough to warrant an intel clause being activated. I believe I have given them the benefit of the doubt atm, there is no proof out there at the moment to suggest they did know. I don't particularly see the TCW break up as betrayal either, I initiated it partially because we had rapidly grown apart and we wanted to take a new direction. So everything TKR does can be equated to how TKR currently operates? Should I equate all of Kayser's misadventures to your current FA? If you still haven't seen that KT operates differently since a year ago, then really you didn't know us and still don't. And apparently adding accuracy to a post is too much for you to handle?

  8. Follow The Great Hippo Khan and I’ll make your decisions for you. No need for this wasted time of “voting”. Such inefficiency transfers of power get in the way of more important things.

  9. Greetings, I am B0SS, the leader of the Republic of New China. I am a relatively new nation, and I have never played PW before. I hope to make some friends! Thank you, B0SS

  11. Politics is pretty much entirely between alliances. Join a bigger alliance (top 60), get more established in the community, and then you can experience the political side of things.

  12. More democracy does not equal more involvement. A P&W player will have a base level of activity in the game, which will usually only go down if IRL things come up. You might have a member who has a high level of activity (logs in every day), but that could go down as IRL things happen or as they get bored of the game. You might have somebody who has a low level of activity (only logs in 1 time a week), and so they're barely playing and could just stop entirely any time. A person's level of activity usually either stays the same or goes down, and never really goes up. New Pacific Order is an alliance that perfectly takes advantage of this. A lot of their members aren't very active, so they tax them 100/100 to get the full amount out of them and they re-distribute as necessary. Now, NPO does have very active members, but NPO's leaders know the reality of the situation and so they based their system accordingly. Democracies also have a lot of problems that non-democratic alliances don't have. It's very easy for outside influences that don't have the alliance's best interest in mind to affect elections. Elections could mean that a person not qualified but popular gets elected, which could hurt the alliance as they have a bad time in their position. If you get really democratic, and put merges, war, and other FA decisions to a vote, then you can say goodbye to OPSEC and you could have a really autistic FA direction. It's not like members in non-democratic alliances don't have a voice. Only stupid people ignore their members completely and chronically. If you as an autocratic leader do a lot of unpopular things for long enough, your members will !@#$ and you will usually have to step down. Additionally, if an alliance was making a big, secret move and the members eventually found out (like a merge), then if they all raise enough hell over it, it won't happen. Just because an alliance doesn't have elections, doesn't mean the members of an alliance have no sovereignty. Also, don't look at nations in P&W as being nations. Instead, look at them as people. Nations are individuals and alliances are nations comprised of individuals. I've found that imagining things that way is helpful.

  13. Bruh. M8. Boii. Son, I am disappoint. Did you REALLY think you were the nano I mentioned? That's deserving of a true Picard triple-facepalm. Look at the post again. Elysium. 11 members. 507 avg score. 5572 total score. Boy, get you some specs and reading comprehension. Now, since you've asked, I congratulate Frostbite and Defcon 1 on building a decent low-mid-tier alliance. Have you been in a good war yet? Got curbstomped yet? Let me know when you've been hit by bigger blocs of alliances twice, we'll check out your score then and see if your members have the same spine as ours. Until then, keep your boasting a little hushed and prepare yourselves for the storms that all larger alliances seemingly must partake of. Be careful, be thoughtful, be prepared, and have some serious balls-to-the-wall members, or you'll go the way of Cerberus, Night's Watch, and many other FORMER top-40 alliances. Best of luck. Do stop making assumptions so easily, it makes you look oversensitive and defensive, as if you feel insecure or inadequate, while I'm sure you have a great deal of confidence in your members and their capability to keep growing.

  14. Yo, I just heard Story of Adidon after I posted that. What the frick man, Pusha straight up rekt Drake so hard it was actually hard to sit through. fricking rap beef journalism, calling him out for being a deadbeat dad to his bastard son. If Pusha straight up kneecapped him it would have been less damaging. And Drake comes back... with a press release? Bro ? Seriously, you aren't even making sense in single posts anymore, let alone threads. Take a break and collect yourself.

  19. >Had ODP (they had been asked in the past to upgrade but refused because our fa goals didn't align) >KT trusted gossip girl with their war plans >Gossip girl leaked >...... >BK totally started it Don't even get me started on how KT didn't tell us about their war until like 2 days before... After we had already heard about it from your targets... How dare we not "defend" KT from their own mistakes.

  21. Working with democratic alliances is also the worst. Try planning a war, and then having to wait for one of your alliances to vote on if they want to help or not. not only does it take forever, but sometimes the membership and leadership are not on the same page, and someone you thought you could count on is now out. As an alliance leader myself, I value the input from my membership, but at the end of the day any and all decisions go thru me.

  22. Several months ago I began development on a personal tool called Ferret, a web application which can be used to estimate nation revenue and resource production. This was loosely based on an old project I never finished. It periodically scrapes the API for data about each active nation in the game, then provides a web interface for viewing it and simulating changes. For several reasons, I never finished it, and it has not been updated for quite some time now. Since I don't really have further interest in developing it, I am releasing the code to the public, in the hope that it can be of use to someone. You can see an example of its output for my nation in the attached screenshot. Source: https://github.com/Lyrositor/pnw-ferret License: CC0 1.0 Universal - Basically, do whatever you want with it. You don't need to provide attribution or get permission to use it. Demo website: http://lyros.net/ferret/ Important notes: Ferret is out of date. There have been several updates to P&W since it was last updated, so some values are now very inaccurate. It is not 100% accurate. For reasons I never fully figured out, nation revenue is off, even when accounting for things like radiation/seasons/etc. (which Ferret does not currently take into account on its own). I am releasing this as is, with no additional instructions. I can try to answer questions if you have any, but if you want to set it up yourself and run it, you're mostly on your own. To anyone familiar with Python and Vue.js, however, it should be pretty straightforward. Most of the code that probably interests you is in the "ferret.pnw" package. This is the package responsible for calculating all the P&W formulas. Feel free to gut it for your own projects. Recently, there appear to be some issues with the API data. Some entries are not getting parsed correctly as a result. I haven't investigated it yet. The permission/authentication system is a legacy of my old plans for this. Now that it's open source, anyone can use it, so the whole thing could be stripped out for simplicity's sake. I may do this at some point if there is some interest. If people are interested in this enough, I may go back to work on it, but right now I have no further development plans for it. Cheers.

  25. Solar Power Plant Description: Powers infrastructure in all cities. Effect: Powers 30% of infrastructure in summer, 10% in winter, and 20% in other seasons. (I figured that changing the effect based on latitude as well would be unfair, and I wasn't fully sure of what numbers to use, so feel free to give suggestions) Cost: 8,000 (aluminium), 2,000 (steel) and 50,000,000 (dollars)

  26. "Sparkplug" See? You couldn't even get that post out without an immature name call. Too be frank, I wasn't really trying to debunk your point that a few of your posts aren't completely immature name-calling and ad homs. I was pointing out the fact that you're an incredibly toxic poster who shouldn't have forum access as all you do is ooc name call and use words such as "retarded" and "eat a bag of dicks" instead of offering any bit of insight into any conversation or discussion. You should really grow up and stop with the middle school bullshit.

  28. Guys, Fark are “good upstanding folk”, let’s ease off them a bit. Their vocabulary use is one that should inspire the rest of us. Don’t worry, tCW didn’t assist KT either when BK/NPO initiated a war with them and instead chose to be a proxy to draw TKR in. Goes to show you the extent of treaties that some alliances sign. While I do catch some people criticizing my choice of allegiances and players I “put into position”, I very rarely hide my agenda and always uphold my word/treaties. Not much can be said of those critics.

  29. I like the idea. But instead can you have a region or nation color affected. For example:"All blue nations have suffered from a thunderstorm" Also, can you have more positive events like: Summer season spawns: Celebrity Visitation 20% chance to get $500,000, or Scientific Breakthrough that awards 50 infrastructure etc. Great Idea!
