  1. I wanted to make this post to let everyone know what's going on as I've not made an official update since July. Most content I'll be addressing can be referenced in this thread or this earlier thread. The following content is currently on the work list to be done. Additional Alliance roles/permissions (Currently being tested/coded) Treasure Trading (Being coded next) 3 new projects Project Slot Domestic Policy Buff Resource bonus focused on smaller nations Adjustment to ships Damage increase in ship v ship Bombardment Attack (still under consideration) Adjustment to planes Bombing runs against ships kill less defending planes Adjustments to Nukes/Missiles/VDS/ID Tutorial changes Alliance-wide embargoes Treaty Web Bloc-options Improved notification system Other QoL changes (see links above) That's not even including commodities and the projects associated with them. Needless to say, there's a lot on Alex's coding plate at the moment. Focus has been made towards moderation changes, information, and server maintenance these last few month. As such there is now a sizable back log. For the remainder of the calendar year, the Dev Team will be on break in hopes of this list diminishing before work resumes. In January I will be restarting the Dev Team and bringing in some new faces. During the beige thread it was noted some people gained interest in getting involved. I don't want to bring new people when we'd simply be piling onto an along long list of "to-do". Please continue to post suggestions, but understand the timetable of things. If anyone has questions that I'd be able to answer, I'll be happy to. Any flaming, baiting, trolling that happens in this thread will be moved, blocked, and/or reported.

  3. 1) Reduce the city-military score ratio. It should optimally be 1:1 or 1:1.5 for full military(Ratio provided in City Score: Military score) 2) Let all wars end in beige(yes, a beige rework can help raiding too). 3) Possibly figure out a way to expire superiorities every x turns if the same attack isn't done again. 4) (Probably a bad idea) New project called International Airport. Let's you move in and out x units of resources/cash of each kind of total or based on the then valuation. Cost can be discussed later and there can be reasonable restrictions. 5) Testing most new mechanics updates on test server for an extended amount of time before pushing it live. As you can probably see, these are all war mechanics updates rather than raiding buff updates since raiding depends purely on war mechanics updates.

  4. I'm going to be prodding Alex a little more regularly on these. The roles are something I've been told are being tested at the moment and thus will hopefully be out soon. Treasure trading will hopefully follow soon there after. I'll be pushing for both to be completed by the end of November along with the 3 projects and the damage tweaks to ships and planes (not the bombardment part though). Ideally by the end of the year the only things on the list will be Bombardment, if we add it, the Missile/Nukes rework and defenses against them and likely tutorial changes and some smaller QoL things. Again, I don't control the schedule. Here ya' go.

  6. The Mantra of any update by raiders seems to be "you're killing raiding", or something of the sort. Please use this thread to post ideas on how to buff raiding and I will review the results when the Dev team restarts.

  7. It's in the links at the top: Resource Production Center Every turn the nation gets 1 raw resource for each raw resource they can mine (except food) for each city they have up to 5 cities. (60 resources times 3 resource types is a 180 resources total per day) Cost: $500,000 Food: 1,000 Research and Development Center Effect: This project provides two project slots (net: one additional project slot) Cost Cash: $50,000,000 Food: 100,000 Aluminum: 5,000 Government Oversight Agency Improves Domestic Policy Effect by 50% (5% -> 7.5%) (1% -> 1.5% for open markets) Cost: $20,000,000 Food: 200,000 Aluminum: 10,000 At this point, I couldn't begin to speculate.

  11. Hello everyone, A couple of years ago in 2018, and then again last year in 2020 (what were we doing in 2019?), we held a P&W themed pumpkin carving contest. Let's do it a third time! We have had some really cool submissions in the past, such as: (and many more. I encourage you to go look at past threads!) Plus, there will be prizes! Here are the rules: To enter, you need to come up with some Politics & War related concept (game related, alliance related, nation related, player related, etc.) and carve it into a pumpkin. Or paint it on a pumpkin. Or paint it on a watermelon. Or build it in minecraft. Or 3D print it. You have a broad creative license. Then, take a picture of your "pumpkin" and submit it here as a reply in this thread to enter the competition. You will have approximately 18 days to create and submit your entry. This thread will lock on October 25, and then we will have a period of voting from October 24 - October 29 where everyone will be able to vote on their favorite pumpkins. The winners will then be announced either October 30 or October 31. *I know some players, depending on their geographic locations IRL may not have access to pumpkins. For this reason, I am okay with submissions that are carvings into other fruits / vegetables (e.g. a watermelon, a turnip, whatever you might have access to.) Or you can make a digital pumpkin. The world is your oyster! Here are the prizes: Everyone who participates will be guaranteed a special Halloween 2021 achievement for their nation related to this event. The top 3 winners based on voting will receive 5 Credits for their nation each, as well as a special nation award in-game. The #1 winner will get 10 Credits (total). Other Notes: I reserve the right to reject submissions not related to Politics and War. You can submit multiple photos in the thread, but you need to identify one primary photo that we will use for voting. I'd like to feature your creations on social media on our Politics and War accounts! If you do not want me to share your photo in this way, please just make a note of that when you post your submission. If you have any questions, feel free to ask here in this thread so that everyone can see the questions and answers. That's it! I hope you'll enjoy this fun little festive contest and giveaway. I am excited to see what you all can come up with!

  15. :hesright: Royal Orbis Radio is an internet radio show hosted by: zigbigadorlou, coiner of the phrase "Bots Out!" Thalmor, wanted by the FBI @Vice who should take this to a real news server like DNN where the real API and bot experts reside (you know you want to) With worthless input from Krampus, the owner of 1984 Orbis News, and other uninformed users who have never used the API or coded a bot in their lives and who will also talk over everyone else ftfy

  16. It's already hard enough for the 'losing' side of a war to bounce back. Wars seem to be won before they begin, and punishing the losing side for being in that position. The design philosophy being applied here is backwards. The ideal situation would be to develop the mechanics so that it's possible for the losing side to develop a strategy to fight back effectively and make a comeback somehow. I'm not sure how you would do that, but that's what players try to do now when they nuke and missile their enemies alongside attacking with soldiers and few ships- and it can be fairly effective. Don't make it harder for the losing side. Make it so that the losing side can fight better despite losing the upper hand (if they are capable of doing so through good planning, skill, and tactics).

  19. This will level the playing field. Even though the colour bonus might seem insignificant to some people in the long run it can amount to a hefty amount of cash both for nations and the alliance and that means people playing the game that are on aqua are losing cash that could actually be used instead of going to nations that will most likely never be touched again.

  21. Some points to add. Need a clause for what happens in a tie if a war goes the distance and still has equal amounts of resistance left. I would suggest tie goes to the defender for a victory. What happens if a city doesn't have 300 infra left to lose? Is it reduced to 0.01 and nothing further? Does damage roll over anywhere else? An alternative could be number of beige turns x2 is the reduction percentage. GL with this one, it's not a popular one. You may want to think of a compromise of some trade off to be able to leave before 18 turns left.

  22. Knightfall never actually destroyed TKR power. This one is fairly close to doing so, however, with TKR having taken 100 million damage per city last war cycle. I wouldn't mind the name "The Real Knightfall", especially since during Knightfall TKR was able to obtain obscene war stats (positive damage, #1 by total damage). This time around, their resistance level was terrible.

  24. Someone here pls explain to me what tf happened yesterday. From whatever Locutus and public logs existed it looked like: >2IC coups leader >Leader coups 2IC >Leader bans 2IC and all high gov >Leader and 2IC rebrand to YET ANOTHER STAR WARS THEMED ALLIANCE 🤮 Like, what is the series of events that led to this lmao

  27. Because it doesn’t acknowledge anything about the actual war. Only that the servers crashed when it started due to the blitz. Guns n roses is a crap name too in my opinion, but at least it acknowledges that rose fought in the war ffs

  29. Hmmm. There isn't much I can say beyond that. However, I can add that I am still in Atom two or three months later since I posted that, so I guess I've now been in it about 5 months. That is as solid a recommendation as I can make, since before Atom I tried a few other alliances for a week or two each. But Atom is great. For people who like to cooperate and coordinate, there is a place for you. For people who want to be independent kings, there is a place for you. For quiet people and for people who ramble all over Discord, there is a place for you. Morale is high, and most players remain active. Sadly, the $300 grand guy has moved on to TKR with his 8th nation, but I think everyone else is still there, and we continue to grow. I put my own money where my mouth is, and so once I wrote this that post I realized I liked Atom enough to volunteer for it, so now I dabble a bit in IA and FA. (And coordinate with MA as needed.) Low Gov slots are always open for those who want to train and learn, so if this aspect interests you, then for this I also recommend Atom. Learn from the best, most seasoned Cardinals in the game!

  32. At the onset of this war, our goal has been to deal with the threat to ourselves, not to exact a vengeful price on those on the periphery. The Lost Empire have demonstrated that they are not a threat to our spheres, and thus our coalition has agreed on peace terms with The Lost Empire. The peace terms are as follows. 1. The Lost Empire agrees to return to their peacetime standard of military readiness, agreed to as 0/2/5/0. 2. The Lost Empire agrees to not launch wars against members of Coalition A (including all members of Blackwater and Rose Sphere), and agrees to refrain from providing aid to any member of Hollywood. 3. No new wars will be declared between the two sides, but all existing wars are allowed to run their course. 40. From the hallowed halls of the Star Chaser GVI, Starfuze, Village, Gabe, and Deraj meet with Solar Knight Shota. His alliance was ravaged from the onslaught of Arrgh, their forces desolate and depleted. They searched Orbis for another place they could call home. They stumbled upon Ad Astra, their long time friends from their time under House Stark and TCM. The 2 alliances rejoiced, aligning their spines as one. TLDR: The Ronin Empire merges into Ad Astra. I'm being held hostage by Deraj he made me make this post against my free will
