Some alliances need some help to get lifted up and considering the drama involving with Odd Squad and this Bloc - they'll need some support till they can find steady footing. If they can, that is. I guess there are different motivations for why a large alliance would want to offer such protection but I think Orbis would be a better place without it. I think you were implying that we're a protectorate of UPN which is clearly not the case, we're allies. I'm not a fan of small, insignificant alliances either tbh. I doubt that's a popular view around these parts but I don't think they achieve much at all other than to make a few people in leadership feel important. I'd rather contribute to a reasonably powerful alliance than rule an insignificant one. UPN was actually one of the alliance that did protect you, in your starting stages. Although I appreciate that it's somewhat different, and it was to give you some breathing room when you started up. The way I see it is that we will be allowing these alliances to grow and reach their full potential. We also feel like this move gets them more involved in politics on the world stage. We want to see some new faces in the alliance ranks, and we're confident some of these alliances will grow to be significant. For example, recently we had a situation where an established alliance was demanding unreasonable reps that the alliance could not pay from one of the signatories... if they did not pay, it would of been full scale war, that likely would of wrecked the alliance, or set them back a month or so. We want these alliances to have the best possible chance of getting to the top! The more alliances are involved, the funner this gets.
