So, it's fairly safe to assume 2 factions of the playerbase will be going at each other soon. I just want to take this opportunity (and this applies to every war, really) to ask people to be as civil and as mature as possible when shit starts hitting the fan. We're (mostly) adults here, so tainting something as cool as war with lame drama, and even personal insults on some occasions, just ruins it for everybody. I write this, not for myself, but for whoever will be reading the forums during the war. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a salty mess around these parts, so I'm choosing not to waste any time reading threads filled with toxic garbage, Any disputes can be sorted out on the battlefield, which is the only cool and noble way to handle things. This is just a game and I know a bunch of people who refrain from reading the OWF (especially during wartime), because, in their own words, "it gives you cancer". So please try not to be dicks to each other, okay? Try to respect your enemies - I occasionally troll them (in a playful way, just harmless banter really + Ilove when they troll me as well :3), but I respect them and I would have no fun in this game without them. So whichever side comes out on top, I hope they're gracious in victory. If that's the other side, I'll be more than happy to drop by, give them a virtual handshake and congratulate them on their success. And since it's supposed to be a 2 way street, I'll also be more than happy to commend my enemies on their effort, in case my side ends up winning. None of the alliances that will get involved in this war (Mensa, TEst, Arrgh, etc) is lame. They all love war. Any superfluous drama that smudges the beautiful cluster!@#$ that's likely to erupt soon is an insult to the glory and inherent fun of P&W war. So let's at least try to avoid behaving like brats and make war enjoyable for everybody. So the Blood God, Dio Brando, etc can bask in all the blood an destruction. Lol Over 1M in score versus 358k and one alliance in the cluster of 1M has more members than the other side combined. Taking TI out of the equation it's The number 1 3 4 5 6 10 13 14 16 17 alliances plus whatever you want to place Syndicate at, plus whatever others outside the top 20 you want to add it. Sure not all will fight but if it got remotely close they've just got allies for days versus the #2 9 and 27 alliances. Totally winnable! New mechanics get a maiden voyage, which should definitely be interesting (whether one approves of them or not). The showdown in the top 50-100 nations should be a calamitous riot of a spectacle for those left out in the popcorn eating ranges. And the usual bouts of political drama and back-and-forth of the arguments should be as fun and engaging as always. I didn't literally mean to quote him. If you look around at the posts on the forums, that has been the general response. One quote was it's "hard mode", that wasn't sarcasm for example. TEst has an impressive reputation, combine that with the fact that they dominate just over 50% of the top fifty nations in the game, it seems to stage what I would imagine will end up being a bloody struggle in the top tier. If this doesn't happen, then yeah, it will be a (relatively) easy fight. Depends on how crafty Pre is at diplomacy I suppose. You mean did I spend Christmas eve and Christmas day trying to wheel and deal with other alliances to come join a war? No. No I didn't talk to a single person from any alliance not involved except very short conversations telling them we're not looking for help. So no, there's going to be no surprise entrants.
