Deraj Responds to Allegations from The Cypher

First and foremost; I am here to refute the allegations brought against me by the other government members of Cypher. I relieved myself of the duties within the alliance; when it was apparent the government members I appointed were simply attempting to coup me.

One of the allegations claimed I had done no meaningful work. While the government of Cypher is very large; it also had two other leaders; an FA head who claims to be the shadow leader, and dozens of other mid-low government members. There was simply no need for me to have my hand in every aspect of the daily operations of the government; Jimmy & Davey spoke with me regularly. The claim of no meaningful work is false; the alliance being where it is today hinges on the work, driven by me from the outset of S&B some 7 months ago. 

The second allegation claims I mishandled the Graybird situation. I was never given the opportunity to even review the allegations against Gray. My key issue with the handling goes right back to George Long. Maybe it's my life experience – and the lack of life experience for the other members; but allegations as serious as Grays require thought, due diligence, and care. In America there is a presumption of innocence; I asked for clarification; verification, and time to review the matter. None of that was given. 

This was an out of character and an out of game situation in which only one person provided information. The information provided was only cropped screenshots. Had this information been presented to me; my first response would be to suggest the victim contact his local law enforcement agency – assuming the allegations are serious; the entities best suited to look into the claims are law enforcement, discord, and the game admin.

My point being; none of us in game; have the right to be the arbiters of social or criminal justice outside of the game. 

The third charge brought against me claims that I used alliance funds to order a hit on Mega. I will admit; I ordered a hit on Mega; but it was not done solely by me; George, Danny, and Henrik knew about it; and it was done with thought, care, and intention. 

For some time during the SNB era we had growing concerns about Mega holding the offshore. Mega was very quick to be sure everyone made their deposits; very quick to be sure all monies were moved into the offshore he was in; and very argumentative to any spending of alliance dollars.

It was a risk vs reward situation. If he was slotted; he was forced to move the bank; and it limited the possibility of him walking with it. George Long was very aware of the transaction; as the money was moved directly to Bohemian Grove – where he held it and took much time returning it to The Cypher post merge. 

The allegation that I did this on my own; and used alliance funding is a lie. I paid for it myself and those making the charge against me were directly involved in it happening. So in this matter; I’m guilty of protecting the assets of Skull & Bones members at my expense. 

I most certainly do not want to be restored to The Cypher; and will embrace the new journey ahead with the people who have always been friends during the good times and in the bad times.

This is going to be a real shocker but perhaps, just perhaps, the merger was worthy of reconsideration if you can't trust one of the parties' bank holder so much to the point where you need to get them slotted for a transfer. Deraj is clearly trying to offload the blame to other gov but he's right to do so. This looks horrible for Cypher gov.

Thanks for the thoughtful response. To clairify; that hit on Mega happened prior to the merge finishing. Post merge Mega was not offered an EA position.

This is a bit off topic but. I am going to be very honest here, given the history between me and George I am surprised people still work with him and believe in him. Hell I gave him multiple chances to redeem himself before he showed his true color everytime. Every single alliance George has been in has ended up in drama.

Aurora: Tried to coup the leader with the head MA, then Tried to sabotage a merger, then leaked on it causing a global war (Bitfrost).

His own aa: Sending spies into Aurora and getting caught in the process.

Arhkam: ended up leaving after Seb payed 500M to Aurora to save his ass he somehow has drama with them.

Then now Cypher: causing a even bigger shit show of API key stealing plot.

I would really like to get Cypher's side of all this.  Sounds pretty serious and involves multiple issues.

Deraj, from what I've heard of the Graybird situation, and I've heard multiple stories about it at this point, you were going to be damned either way.  There's no way you can say anything about it that won't get judged harshly unless you head bob with the mob, however noble your motivation.  Yes, that would have made you one of the torch carriers.  But issues like this one rarely get talked about logically.  Just my observation, as stated I don't know what the facts in evidence are for certain, just the rumors.

No you haven't.  Dude, I've been seeing all sorts of shit about you since you left Cypher.  Like a lot of very unimportant crap.  Just showing screenshots that really have nothing to do with the current setting or accusations of theft without any "elaboration" as to how beyond speculation.

How about the moments where you've acted whiny to the government when you disagree with something?  Or the accusations of inappropriate behavior in Discord?

Speaking of the Mega/bank/whatever issue - if you were going to be so protective over SnB "assets" - should've just kept your AA.  If you can't get on the same page after a merger, then don't merge.  Once you merge, there's no more ties to the previous AA.  That's it.  Either agree to be on the same page with the new AA formation or don't merge.
