Keep that policy and you're going to end up in a lot of wars like this. Public apologies are harmless, it was childish of you to refuse. Congratulations to Rose for teaching a good lesson. Although I agree with your larger point, that they should of went with it -- although the issue here was that you shouldn't take in a member with that kind of baggage, before it's been cleared, in the first place.
