Popular Post Prefontaine
 A few weeks ago, the leader of DEIC ordered that their alliance issue an embargo towards a member of Guardian, Kangaroo Ocean. The reasons listed varied from "orders", to "for being a market manipulator", and so forth. When approached on the matter, it was revealed that the cause was Kangaroo listing buy offers for a little less PPU ($100-$200 in most cases when posted) while selling for higher prices. So providing an outlet for nations looking to make instant cash rather than waiting on the market and risking prices dropping anyway is considered market manipulation by DEIC. Now, some of the prices grew in their gap, as listings stay for 10 days and some times the market jumps radically in that time period.  I spoke to Diabolos privately on the matter, requesting the sanction be lifted, but for the "protection of his members", he refused. Guardian stands as one, and if you act against one of us, you act against all of us. I informed Diabolos that failure to revoke his order would result in Guardian embargoing all of DEIC. I provided plenty of time for this to happen, but the most Kangaroo received were attempts from DEIC members to make money of the situation: http://politicsandwar.com/forums/index.php?/topic/3311-deic-embargo-extortion/  Meanwhile, Diabolos himself lists buy offers for mass amounts of steel for $1, and calls them "donations". I do hope he has his alliance embargoed to protect them against such an unfair resource buyer.  Edited November 14, 2014 by Prefontaine

Tenages
Fair warning was given, and when no satisfactory response was forthcoming, the promised action was taken. Well done. How FA should be handled. Â Actions like this should make one proud to be a Guardian member. If another alliance did this to one of mine, I'd take the same action.

Embargoes are a waste of time and ultimately do nothing. Livius Clades
Economic Warfare. And I doubt this will hurt DEIC at all. A Guardian Embargo won't hurt there economy. Guardian is a neutral Alliance and DEIC is in a Bloc. Guardian's 24 members not selling to DEIC will not do anything to hurt them. DEIC will just buy elsewhere or am I misunderstanding how embargoes work? If I am please correct me. I hate not knowing the right information in situations like this. 1 Fire is nice eh? I stand in solidarity with my Blue friends. So it is a considerable, if not great, reduction in resource offers available to DEIC. At the same time, it is reduction in number of buyers DEIC resource sellers would have access to. It may work both ways Idk  Besides, I think it is more of a "carrying out one's threat" than anything else. Blood of a king. Heart of a lion. Dark Specter
That would depend if GUARDIAN nations werent buying resources from DEIC nations then this embargo wont hurt them and if DEIC nations were buying resources from GUARDIAN nations then this embargo will hurt DEIC and vice versa. If they were buying each others resources then they will have hurt both of their economies through this embargo. Â But if people are siding with guardian and embargoing deic then deic is running out of nations to get supplies from through the market while guardian still has bigger market to work with.
