My biggest concern is that this would benefit those with a ton of money to spend, in other words, the whales. It’s already hard enough to take down the whale tier in a war, imagine how hard it would be if they could buy thousands of additional units at will.

Joking aside, has anyone actually seriously predicted this? Because we’re all doing just fine, we aren’t going away anytime soon.

I mean, yeah, they’re losing money from upkeep, but in the grand scheme of things it isn’t really that much. Besides, they have deep pockets to draw from, so I think they’ll be fine.

I for one would not be happy if we signed KETOGG. We’re only fighting together because our interests for this war coincide, we’d much rather be beating each other up right now. Maybe we’ll fight together next global, maybe we’ll fight against each other, who knows what the future has in store for us?

Yeah, I don't blame you guys for taking these threats seriously. Much better to take a joke seriously than assume something's a joke and then realize they were being truthful when it's too late. However, none of us want you guys to disband. I actually don't mind NPO, and I like them better than the majority of alliances in this game. Besides, you guys are worthy opponents who I know will put up a good fight, which is something I can't say about a lot of alliances.

Yes, because we obviously knew that one TCW guy would get mad, rage quit, and dumb the logs stating that you guys were planning to attack us. Honestly, how is this even a point of contention? Logs were literally leaked that, in heavy detail, described your plans to hit Chaos and KETOGG. Some people were furious at NPO entering, and lashed out and just said whatever came to their mind. If they were thinking clearly, they would never have called for you guys to disband. Obviously no one should even be thinking those thoughts, but I don’t think anyone seriously wants NPO to disband.

Enjoyed fighting alongside you guys, good luck rebuilding! North Point is one of the few micros that actually shows promise, I'm expecting to see you guys go somewhere in the future.

Do you even read what you're saying? The mods should not in any circumstance be deployed for any sort of advantage, they should only be used if you feel that someone is breaking the game rules; in that case you should just always do what's right and report them, instead of trying to exploit the situation for your own gain. If you knowingly gain because someone else is breaking the rules, that's just as bad as breaking the rules yourself. If everyone reports everything just so they can gain an advantage out of it, that just creates a terrible and unhealthy environment for the game. I don't see how this would result in more effective enforcement of the rules, please do enlighten me.

Yeah because T$ threatened that their entire sphere was going to get involved if we countered for them. Guardian/Grumpy was also of the belief they could handle it, so there was no reason to get involved there.

I would like to contribute my part to making this a 100-page thread. Uh...NPO sucks, TKR sucks, we’re winning cause stats, BK slaves, Scarf is toxic, IQ never disbanded, Surfs Up is fake war, TFP slot filled, Elijah has multis, NPO is killing the game. There we go, that should be enough to start a very long argument that goes on longer than it should.

I’m just annoyed that the servers broke down yet again. Alex, if you’re gonna encourage us to invite hundreds of new players into the game, at least make sure your servers can actually support it. I like new players as much as the next guy, but I also like actually being able to play the game at update. I understand the advice to stay away from the main PnW server, at least for the time being. Lots of people are very frustrated and angry right now, so they’re taking it out on the new players. Might be best to lay low for a few weeks until everyone cools off. I do hope that some of them interact with us in the future though, it would be a shame for them to miss out on what in my opinion is the best part of this game.

They obviously shouldn’t be banned from the game, but they should definitely be kicked from the alliance. Any good alliance won’t have nearly that many people on purple because they’ll all have been kicked by that stage.

BK technically got them involved, but they weren’t trying to, and I bet they didn’t even know TCM or TSL existed, they just got caught in the crossfire.

Good luck rebuilding! I believe they joined the war when BK hit House Arryn. House Arryn was hitting The Coal Mines, and The Socialist League joined in their defense. When BK hit them, we recognized TCM and TSL as belligerents, since they were engaged in war against HA. I could be mistaken, please correct me if I’m wrong, but this is my impression of the situation.

So in other words, you’re saying that beige does exactly what it’s intended to do. The beige system, and the entire war system in general, definitely needs fixing, but this effectively prevents mini blitzes in the middle of a war, it makes it impossible to escape being pinned, and if done correctly, you could be in the situation of never getting a double buy during beige. Whichever side has the first strike advantage would basically win instantly as long as they aren’t complete idiots.

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss Sphinx. Take as much time off as you need, at the end of the day, this is still a game, and this shouldn’t take precedence over RL matters. If you don’t VM though, don’t worry, we’ll still be rolling you just as hard as before!

Dear BK and NPO: You all have been really fun to fight against, in fact I don’t think I’ve ever had more fun in a war. I hope you all are having the same amount of fun as we are. While I may not like some of the actions you guys have taken in game, this is just a game, and OOC you all seem like awesome people.
