  1. Tier list: ______ Midgard is pretty thick and girthy, but they don't have any cities. Maybe they'll be a threat if they grow all those dudes over the course of 18 months or something, but that's a problem for the future version of ourselves. Plus the rest of the game can come together to smack them down if need be. I don't think that's necessary though. A true superbloc is one where, if the entire outgroup came together to smack them, that it would still be a tough fight or otherwise uncompetitive. I believe we are far away from that.

  3. Since my tenure in Rose govt I've been pretty withdrawn from wider Orbis affairs so I have no real idea what's been going on except the major wars, but regardless of my absence, I thought we agreed as a community to stop making superblocs? Does this not remind you of anything? And yet we still get this kind of bs? What is this? Since when it was it socially acceptable for a dozen top 50 alliances to behave like a 2020 micro? Didn't we used to roll microspheres with 30 treaties per party? If I'm being stupid please, feel free to let me know but it feels like we as a community have some kind of selective amnesia once every few years. Why is it that we catagorically pay lip service to the idea of "minispheres" and yet we bumble along like drones when someone decides to bloat their sphere up like they're having a meal at the Heart Attack Grill?

  6. Thought it prudent to clarify that Requiem is not part of Florida at this time. It remains tied to both Rose and Paradise in different manners (not to mention, tied both at different times & before the formation of the sphere). We are as much a part of Florida as we are HOGG or TOB. That is to say, not at all. Our treaties are by definition individual and non chaining.

  7. Honestly anyone saying Midgard is a threat to the game is funny, we don’t own c35+ nations we can’t actually fight the c40 tiering wars. If you haven’t noticed this game revolves around the upper tier nations, reason why everyone wants to make super bloc with a lot of upper tier nations but try to justify it by having almost no c30 bellow nations saying their bloc is super small thus it isn’t a “super bloc”. Also I would like to point out without this many nations within your aa you won’t make enough money to push tiering and grow to a mid or upper tier aa, newer aa would always be required to have more nations thus these aa who have similar tiering would sign each other for protection. You can’t sign someone who is 10 cities above your tiering and expect them to be able to help you. Also you can’t just point fingers at Midgard if most of the upper tier bloc believe their bloc is full already and that they only want more c30+ nations instead of any lower tier nations then where does the rest of the lower tier aa go? If the game revolves around upper tier then making a wall in the mid tier to make sure you have protection is the only way to go.

  9. Goodmorning Chaps! (Or whatever time it is for you) I have a suggestion, a dumb one, but a suggestion worth bringing out. So, you know we have the ideology crap to pick from, right? Well, unless your new to the P&W block, you would know that those mean NOTHING! They are things just thrown there to help develop ur pesky rp nation as you commit war crimes and raid 3-year-old children like me. But what if we had buffs for these ideologies? I know it would be hard to pick from and stuff, but maybe some of these buffs can add onto your rp features. Like the support of your nation? Idk, we need SOMETHING to spice these plain things up. Seeing stuff like Parliamentary Republic, we wouldn't be able to specify that deep, but we can add the same buffs for the much bigger and recognizable ideologies (Democracy, Communism, Monarchism, Technocratic stuff, Nationalism etc) For example, (this is a very HORRIBLE idea) we could have a Communist buff more like the reduction of Mine cost? I know that makes no sense for communism, but I want to hear YOUR ideas. sips beer Now, get on your little keyboard and let me steal your brilliant ideas- I mean..... Let me share your brilliant ideas. Aha!

  12. go, my friend. Say goodbye to the family you have loved as they will be shot by the glorious forces of RoDevs. Your life means nothing here, my friend. Everyone you have seen, everyone that you ever thanked or appreciated is a traitor to you and this very world. And the more you experience this, your actions and responses see the last dim of light, too. You are no good for this world. It is time for us to bring you out of it. Don't be scared as we grab you out of your already burning home and bring you to someplace else. Close your eyes and let the blanket fall on you head. Don't be scared as we wrap it around your head and attach a rope to it. If you hear the army boots clinking against the dirt, don't worry. This moment will be quick. Now. Goodbye, friend. POW! Alex is going to get me a one-way ticket to hell for this lmao You won't be missed as there would be no one to miss you.

  13. Do you force allies to split after you force their government to change, or is that after?

  14. Sphere size is a political issue. Was mostly just trying to mock you since your running theme seems to be that every problem is a nail that can be solved with the appropriate application of military force. Granted you are milcom, so that checks out. I'd point out that building an even bigger sphere to take down a sphere you think is too big is how we got here, but that's blasphemous thinking.

  15. I imagine so, if you take it at face value. But the fact remains those treaties are relatively long standing - our MDP with The Afterlyfe transferred to Paradise once they merged.

  16. Minesome probably included you because of the M-level with Paradise, so I would say the clarification in appreciated.

  17. If you think a particular bloc is too big, my recommendation is to gather enough firepower to take them down and force them to split up. I wouldn't expect that a random thread chastising the community for not doing it for you would be especially effective.

  19. So I think you're correct in the fact that Midgard is not a superbloc but regardless I feel that justifying this by saying "Oh yeah, if the entire game declared on them, they'd lose" is a very unhealthy attitude to have - the likelihood of this happening is very low, unless there was some catastrophic blunder on behalf of MG governments. Midgard still holds a substantial upper tier, 134 nations ranging from c27-c34 according to the chart above. The only coalition that can rival that in that tier is ODOO, who is significantly outmatched in the lower tiers. I feel that this type of behaviour incentivizes cross-bloc coordination to roll a third party bloc, which in itself is a very unhealthy practice. I don't think MG's current practices are game-destroying but nevertheless I feel the habit of having massive networks of chaining treaties can only be detrimental to the community.

  20. It may be frowned upon by my peers, but I'm going to say it... I basically agree. Somewhere along the way @Kan0601 seems to have slipped on his goal of making smaller spheres and generating more interesting dynamics in the game's politics, because Midgard right now looks to be exactly the opposite of that. Nothing against Kan personally and I'm loyal to Aurora, but like... just saying.
