The first part of this update is an increase in the login bonus for those that log in consecutively each day. The game now tracks the number of days you've consecutively logged in, and you earn an amount per day that's equal to Login Bonus = Number of Days Consecutively Logged In * $10,000 For nations that are over 60 days old, that amount is capped at up to $50,000 per day. So if you're consistently logging in each day, you'll earn $50,000 each day, which is $40,000 more than you were before. If you miss a day, the next time you login you'll only earn $10,000 and the counter will be reset. For nations that are under 60 days old, that amount is capped at up to $150,000 per day. This offer new players the chance to be heavily rewarded for visiting the game every day and being active. This should help improve retention rates, as well as new players' ability to grow faster and catch up to larger nations. The next part of this update is that new players will also receive an automatic message from my nation, that reads thus: Welcome to Politics & War!I'm the game creator and administrator, Sheepy. I'm excited to see you've created your very own nation! You're now a powerful leader, and it's your responsibility to manage and grow your country.I want you to succeed, so along with a warm welcome I'm going to offer you a few helpful tips:- First, take advantage of the in-game tutorial. It will teach you the fundamentals of how the game works, and at the end you'll get a lump sum of cash you can use to build your country.- Second, check out the notifications on your nation page. There are a lot of quick and easy opportunities to get extra money, and that will help you a lot in building your nation.- Third, log in and check on your nation at least once per day. For each day you login consecutively, you'll earn extra money for your nation. Take advantage of this free cash by visiting your nation at least once per day.- Lastly, and very importantly, join an alliance! Alliances are groups of nations that will offer lots of helpful tips and information, money to build your nation, and will help defend you if another nation attacks you. Alliances are the cornerstone of Politics & War, and it's imperative that you find one you like and join it. For a list of alliances, check out the Alliance Recruitment Subforum.If you have any questions or need any help with your nation, a quick and easy way to get help is to use the IRC Channel (there's a link in the left-hand sidebar) which is a live chatroom where you can talk to other players and ask questions.Thanks for choosing Politics & War, and happy nation building!-Sheepy So, unless you're a brand new player this isn't a big deal, but it should improve retention rates and help new players find their feet.
