P2K Posted March 2, 2015 Share Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) I am going to attempt to start a dictionary of sorts for abbreviations that are used in P&W along with abbreviations that are used with the alliances. If you know any abbreviations at all please add a post with the abbreviation and what it stands for. This way I can try and get as many as possible.. Here is what I have so far. Abbreviations Words CB - Casus belli - CB is a Latin expression meaning "An act or event that provokes or is used to justify war" Full Wiki definition. P&W/PnW/PW = Politics and War AA = Alliance Affiliation DoW = Declaration of War/Declare War NAP = Non-Aggression Pact MDP = Mutual Defense Pact MDoAP = Mutual Defense optional Aggression Pact MDAP = Mutual Defense and Aggression Pact Alliance’s UPN = United Purple Nations PPC = Purple Powers Coalition EoS = Empire of Spades GUN = Global United Nations HSN = High Standard Nations(defunct) PC = Poison Clan(defunct) VoC = Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie NPO = New Pacific Order BP = The >BLOC Party GPA = Green Protection Agency Some of these alliances may have disbanded by now as underlordgc told me this list is old. If you notice an alliance that is not around anymore please let me know so I can update the list. I know there is a lot more alliances to add to the list. I was just getting it started tonight and thanks to underlordgc I got a head start on the dictionary. If you can think of any abbreviations that are not on the list please add a post and tell me the abbreviation and what it stands for so I can add it to the list. VoC has changed its official name to The Dutch East India Company (DEIC) although VoC is still a valid acronym to use.
