"In an honest service there is thin commons, low wages, and hard labor; in this, plenty and satiety, pleasure and ease, liberty and power; and who would not balance creditor on this side, when all the hazard that is run for it, at worst, is only a sour look or two at choking. No, a merry life and a short one, shall be my motto." - Bartholomew "Black Bart" Roberts

Good luck with everything, Lyrositor!

And to anyone thinking about jumping on him because Sigma is a one-man alliance, I'd like to remind you of Article 4( B) of our Declaration of Neutrality.

Act at your own risk.

I'm scared. Someone hug me pls

Edit: because I can

Hard neutral is a term that carries over from (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) (and is possibly even older still). It stands in contrast to soft neutrality, which is the type GPA practices (or the GOP in (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways)). Typically, it is more binding in its definitions and gives less leeway to its members. A soft neutral alliance, for example, can reserve the right to defend other neutrals if it perceives them as an attack on neutrality (this is the GOP's policy in (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) and GPA's policy in P&W); a hard neutral alliance can only defend its own members from attack.

EDIT: To clarify, GOP is nonetheless quite different in its interpretation of soft neutrality from the GPA of P&W, as Samwise states below.

It should also be stated that while we wrote the book on soft neutrality, I don't know what the hell GPA's doing here. Simply put, soft neutrality is still fundamentally neutral. However, if another neutral alliance is attacked for being neutral, being neutral ourselves, we could just as easily be attacked for the same reasons. We reserve the right to view that as a threat to our existence, and act if we feel it's necessary to remove that threat.

Soft neutrality was never meant to act as a blanket protectorate to all neutrals, as the GPA is using it here, and I do not believe it is neutral.

I really hate to fuel any more fires the GPA has going on right now, but I cannot let people think that GOP in any universe would condone the recent actions by the GPA, and felt like I did need to comment since GOP was mentioned.
