For too long, the Republic has fallen short of its promises for peace, prosperity, and justice for all. Instead, it has become a bloated, bureaucratic nightmare, mired in corruption, cronyism, and inefficiency. The Republic is a futile enterprise, hopelessly burdened by corruption and favoritism toward the Core Worlds  The Republic's Senate, once a beacon of democracy, has devolved into a cesspool of greed and self-interest. Senators squabble and bicker, more concerned with lining their pockets and securing power than with serving the people they were elected to represent. Meanwhile, the voices of the Outer Rim and less affluent worlds are drowned out, their needs ignored in favor of the Core Worlds. We must also address the failures of the Jedi Order, once revered as the guardians of peace and justice. However, their role in the Republic's decline cannot be ignored. The Jedi have become entangled in politics, abandoning their principles and forsaking their duty to protect the galaxy. The Jedi Council, blinded by their arrogance and self-righteousness, have lost touch with the needs of the people. They have allowed themselves to be manipulated by the Republic, becoming enforcers of its will rather than knights defending the weak and innocent. Their actions have led to countless tragedies, as they prioritize the interests of the Republic over the welfare of the galaxy. In the face of these grave injustices, we boldly declare the birth of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, a coalition of systems united in our desire for freedom from the tyranny of the Republic. We are the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and we stand for freedom, for justice, for a galaxy where every being has the right to determine their own destiny. We call on all systems who share our vision to join us, to stand together against the tyranny of the Republic and the Jedi Order. Together, we will forge a new future, a future where every system is free to prosper according to its own values and traditions, a future where the galaxy belongs to all who inhabit it, not just the few who seek to control it. Long live the Confederacy! Long live freedom!  Articles of Secession from the Galactic Republic and Formation of the Confederacy of Independent Systems I: Non Aggression   All member systems pledge to abstain from engaging in or endorsing any form of political, military, or espionage activities against fellow member systems. II: Mutual Defence   All member systems commit to coordinating efforts and providing defence to each other against any attacks from systems outside of the Confederacy. III: Optional Offence   Member systems reserve the right to participate in offensive actions against non-member systems at their discretion. IV: Non Chaining   If a member system enters conflict due to obligations outside the Confederacy, defence becomes optional. V: Intelligence   Member systems agree to share relevant intelligence concerning the economic, political, and military interests of their fellow Confederates. VI: Expansion of the Confederacy   Member systems can propose new additions to the Confederacy, approved by unanimous vote, granting new members full rights and responsibilities. VII: Removal from the Confederacy   Any member system can be removed from the Confederacy through a unanimous vote among the leadership of other member systems. VIII: Withdrawal from the Confederacy   Member systems may withdraw from the Confederacy, provided they give a 72-hour notice. Took me like 3 hours with an AI art generator generating and inpainting. Then I touched it up/recolored things to be more theme appropriate in GIMP and added text.
