Cotton McKnight: Welcome back everyone to a truly special evening, as we have been watching the most exciting sport on television. We’re down to the final match tonight at the Orbitite Dodgeball Organization of Orbis’ regional tournament here in New Orleans, exclusively presented here on ESPN8: The Ocho. And what a thrilling evening it has been! Wouldn’t you agree, Pepper?

Pepper Brooks: It’s been a truly great evening Cotton. I’m totally jazzed!

Cotton: Right. For our viewers at home, I’d like to remind everyone of what is at stake today. There’s no monetary prize in play, but the winning team will get a chance to participate in the ODOO annual championship tournament in Las Vegas!

Pepper: And then they play for the big money, Cotton!

Cotton: That’s right, Pepper. We’ve seen some memorably impressive dodgeball played tonight, and there’s really no telling which of the two finalists will take home the glory and move on to the annual ODOO championship tournament. In one corner, we have the New Orleans Police Department, who handily defeated Daj Mabal in the semi-final round. In the other corner, we have the Moose Knucklers, who just narrowly defeated Game of Throws to advance to the final.

Pepper: Oh boy, a real nail-biter that was!

Cotton: Yes indeed, Pepper. Now the game’s about to start, so let’s tune in.

Cotton: My oh my, Pepper! Was that an impressive game or what? I don’t think we’ve seen a double-deflection slide into a final elimination in professional dodgeball since the Cincinnati Rematch of ’86, and I think we all remember what happened afterwards.

Pepper: *whistles* We sure do, Cotton!

Cotton: Well, with this decisive victory over the New Orleans Police Department, I look forward to seeing what the future holds for the Moose Knucklers. They’ve really proven their worth tonight and one can only hope they’ll similarly deliver in the annual ODOO championship tournament. For now though, we’re signing off and handing the mic over to our colleagues in Amsterdam for our coverage of the European 10-pin bowling championship.

Pepper: Effin’ A, Cotton! Effin’ A!

 

TL;DR: Bourbon Street joins the Orbitite Dodgeball Organization of Orbis as a full signatory of ODOO’s 5 Ds of Dodgeball treaty.
