It's Been A While... Hello Everyone. I'm sure a lot of you have forgotten who I am based on the fact I disappeared for almost a year now lmao. But I thought I make an official post to announce that I'm leaving the game (hopefully permanently). It's gonna be a very lengthy post so I highly advise that you get some popcorn and soda ready for this massive Wall Of Text. Why I'm Leaving To put it quite simply, I've made a lot of strides in my life since I started playing Politics and War almost 5 years ago. I graduated community college, moved out for the first time to live on my own, started attending university, made and lost a lot of friends along the way, and started to look inwards into the person I was, am now, and who I want to be. I still have a lot of work to do since I have a lot of issues with myself, but I know I'll get there. I realized how much computer science sucks in the job market, got back into doing theatre (with a lot of hot theatre chicks ), and even got kicked out of a few bars for drinking too much (but I got a lot of fun stories from those adventures). I've just been too busy with school and trying out new things in life as well as meeting new people and realizing how socially awkward I am kek. And I just don't have the time nor drive to continue playing this game anymore. Especially since I feel like it's begun to hold me back with my goals in life. Which sounds like a bad thing, but eventually every story has to have an ending, and this is mine. A Thank You To PNW When I started playing this game 5 years ago. I was working a crappy warehouse job that I hated, had no friends, didn't know what to do with my life, and thought I would never be happy. But eventually I found this game called Politics and War thanks to Drew Durnil (or whatever his name is). Since then I've figured out that I wanted to learn how to program and become a software engineer, learned how to be a freak in the sheets (that was my title when I first joined my university's ESports club when I became treasurer). Met a lot of amazing people who taught me many different things not only in-game, but in real life as well. And for the first time in my life, and I felt like that I was in a community that enjoyed my presence whether as an friend or enemy thanks to my awesome personality and even better memes. Despite the up's and down's I had in this game, I want to thank you @Alex for being a dumb high schooler who wanted to make a nation sim (I'm sure the $1000+ I spent on credits over the past 5 years will suffice). This game helped me during a dark time in my life and I'm sure it helped many others. So I hope that you continue working on this game for years to come until PHP finally becomes a dead language and you're forced to learn Javascript and react. Personal Shout outs @Abaddon For teaching me how to be a god at google sheets and always talking to me about life and what I should do with mine. @Sketchy For being a great alliance leader with a cunning mind and a aptitude for shit talking. @Tartarus For showing me that you can make amends with other people even when you feel like it's not possible @Chad For being a giga chad and always being there for your alliance even when life gets busy @Kevanovia For always being friendly towards me and showing genuine care for everyone you meet. I'm also sorry for always ignoring/declining your invites to play games with you. @DumpsterCan For always finding the weirdest ways to making me laugh. I honestly don't know how I feel about this one. @Uriah 'the Fox' For always being the chillest dude and telling about your adventures. @ Adam (Couldn't find your PNW forum tag !@#$) For being the little chaotic freak that you are and always being real about yourself and others. @ All of Guardian (If I had to shout out everyone of y'all, this would have to be multiple posts). But thank y'all for being a great alliance with a great community that's willing to accept anyone (as long as they meet the city requirements). Despite being a outsider not knowing anyone in there except @Kinns, you guys welcomed me with open arms, so thank y'all. Also @Vanek26 I do apologize but you're gonna have to postpone your retirement for at least a millennia. @Jordan For trusting me when I first joined the game to be your tech guy and dealing with my shenanigans when I first started this game. There is so many people I could thank but that list would be too long. So I do apologize if I didn't shout you out, I've just kind of gone thru a list of people who I felt made a huge impact in my time playing this game. This community is honestly so great and I've met a lot of people friend or foe who I enjoyed my time with. So I do apologize if your name didn't get shouted out but know that I appreciate everything that everyone has done for me. You can always harass me in dm's. My Final Message (Hopefully) If there is one thing I've learned in these past few years, is that life is short, people make mistakes, and you shouldn't let your past haunt you. How your life goes is up to you. We all start in different playing fields, some more advantageous than others. But you shouldn't that affect you or the person you wish to become. It may not end up exactly how you thought it would, but you shouldn't let your past haunt your future. There's a whole world to explore whether it's going out on a random day and meeting new people at university or playing a nation sim, don't be scared to go out there and try new things. But with that said, thank you politics and war for everything.

This is why Guardian deserves to be alliance of the year.

Oh, how delightfully condescending of you! Trying to play the magnanimous victor while pretending my words didn’t sting—how original. It’s almost as if you think that wrapping up your weak comebacks in a pretty little bow of “lighthearted fun” will somehow mask the fact that you’re clearly outmatched. But by all means, keep enjoying the “back-and-forth,” as if that’s going to change the outcome. I’ll let you keep telling yourself it’s “just a game” while I continue to wipe the floor with your so-called wit.
-
It's amusing that you believe your attempts at diplomacy and strategy are worth acknowledging. The way you glorify your half-baked tactics and unconvincing wit is almost as entertaining as watching a toddler pretend to be a general. Your self-praise about "impenetrable defenses" is as laughable as your grasp on reality. It’s cute how you think your “war of wits” is anything more than a desperate scramble. But sure, keep telling yourself it’s all in good fun—because let’s be honest, winning is something you'll only dream of.

Hello everyone. I just wanted to announce that pnwkit-2.0 now has a google app script version. The app script version has all the new queries with the addition of mutations. There are also utility functions included as well. I can't wait to see all the possibilities now that you can use google sheets with mutations. So have fun and let me know how fast it breaks. https://github.com/darkblade1078/pnwkit-2.0-gs

I have received some damning evidence on @Kastor regarding his post on The Immortals. As a journalist, it's only right that I leak this to the public. The contents of this leak is a voice message from Kastor to Buorhann that took place some time ago when the post about The Immortals was posted. The Media: https://discord.gg/aq5XmMwWf5

The player base: This is too long to read!!!!!! Darkblade (Via Chat GPT): SRD begins by apologizing to Kev for potentially dominating a voice chat about the Mets, Knicks, and Jets. They then address accusations from a shared post, clarifying that they criticized their own alliance's failures inclusively, not mean-spiritedly. SRD recounts the history and principles behind the creation of their alliance, Grumpy Old Bastards. Dissatisfied with the status quo, they formed a new alliance prioritizing active, self-sufficient members, no taxes, and a small, effective war group. They aimed to avoid mass recruitment and manage only experienced players. Grumpy Old Bastards initially needed protection from a larger alliance, Test, and became a protectorate of TKR, which they later left after forming strong relationships with other alliances like Guardian. SRD emphasizes their desire for alliances that could fight alongside them effectively. Addressing sustainability concerns, SRD highlights their selective recruitment and member retention strategies. They value involvement and autonomy over strict control. They also express their disdain for dealing with new players, preferring an experienced, self-sufficient member base. SRD asserts their alliance’s war readiness and commitment, disputing claims that they avoid conflict. They express pride in their alliance's competence and superiority, and reject accusations of hiding behind allies, stating their alliance is designed for success, not defeat. In conclusion, SRD provides war statistics, noting the extensive nuclear attacks their cities have endured during the ongoing conflict.
