Matthew 5:17/18 The word “abolish†translates to the Greek term ''kataluo'', which literally means “to loosen down''. To take that verse on it's face value would contradict other New Testament verses: Romans 10:4 - For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Ephesians 2:15 - Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; Galatians 3:23-25: 23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. Finally, He fulfilled the law’s prophetic utterances regarding Himself (Luke 24:44). The church was/is following the teachings of Paul, as opposed to Jesus (AS), and so can be called out by anyone with even basic understanding for the fraud that they are. However my reading on Martin Luther indicate that he was just as equally corrupt as the church in terms of his beliefs. What you need to realise is that Paul WAS NOT a Prophet of God & everything that he/anyone else wrote in the bible that's not the words of Jesus (AS) need to be EXPUNGED. I'm a Protestant (Pentecostal, specifically) and I'm not entirely comfortable with all the teachings and practices of the Catholic Church. However, I feel as if the Catholic Church is very special and I've considered converting several times (Vatican II was a disgusting mess from my understanding, though). I don't think either of us are going to get anywhere like this, though. We've went off topic and I'm going to stop responding now. You could try fasting (no food or water) for a couple of days too like Jesus in the wilderness.
