The King's Wei and the Wei of the King

Recommended Posts

The Optional Defense Pact between the New Wei Kingdom and the King’s Parliament

The New Wei Kingdom and the King’s Parliament agree to the following

1. Maintain a relationship of cordiality with one another

2. Permits the banks and nations of both alliances to freely market their goods and services, including loans, to all nations within both alliances.

3. Permits the banks and nations of both alliances to freely exchange their goods and services, including loans, to all nations within both alliances.

4. Both parties will maintain a market sharing agreement with one another.

5. Both parties will enforce all loans and contracts issued between the nations and banks of both alliances insofar as these loans and contracts are created transparently, in good faith and in accordance with the laws of both alliances, ex post facto implied.

6. Both alliances' governments will seek to ensure that trade and exchange of loans occurs under quid pro quo conditions.

7. In the event that a nation of either of the two alliances fails to pay a legal and transparent debt to the other alliance or to the bank of the other alliance or to a nation of the other alliance, the alliance of the actor who remains in debt will be held accountable for that debt.

8. Recognize that while neither party is obligated under any circumstances to support one another with specific measures of military or financial support in times of war or crises, the extension of such support from one party to another is a likely contingency given the economic ties between the two alliances outlined in this treaty.

Well, we now have an eastern-themed alliance, that's good to see. I mean, we have pirates (Arrgh), religious zealots (MensaHQ), a mega corporation (tS), a Game of Thrones (7K), and crusaders (CS). Don't know what the [email protected]#$ BK is, but we also have that too.

Black Knights were a group of terrorists in an anime called Code Geass, they also use their emblem from that anime.

And Roz Wei is eastern themed obviously and has been around for a few months, I might be wrong, but that could be the reason for "New" Wei Kingdom, or they are a modern incarnation of Wei. I don't know for sure,

Roz Wei is eastern themed, is bigger, and was around before New Wei Kingdom. Nice to see more such themed alliances of course but I'd have thought they'd have gone for Shu instead considering a Wei already existed (who'd want to be Wu?). That and I keep getting people saying I did or said X because they see Wei and think it's our Wei.

Originally I mulled over naming it after Yuan Shu's Cheng/Zhong Kingdom (adding something to the name naturally) which was a kingdom from the period that isn't often recognized as Yuan Shu after declaring it got murder stomped by Cao Cao and all the other forces surrounding his lands soon after. I'm a mark for Yuan Shu who I think was way better than his brother Yuan Shao in several aspects. He was decisive unlike Shao, he took risks unlike the cautious Shao, and while yes he didn't exactly go on good advice... at least Shu can claim all his advisers were crap so he was screwed in that department to begin with, whilst Shao had some of the best advisers in the land and botched his decisions constantly. I also like the aspect that while all the other lords pretended to be loyal to the Han as they fought across the land, Yuan Shu said to hell with that and was honest in his intentions, namely that the Han was irrelevant (it was) and that he ruled.

Anyway... ultimately I liked the sound of Roz Wei more.
