And spiting orange because of Diabolos is not very productive for anyone. I am honestly at a loss as to how you can think this isn't relevant to the situation. The entire thing revolves around it. The reason we think DEIC could be involved rather than just Diabolos being an idiot is that their alliance had previously threatened us over being on orange, and Diabolos specifically declared saying that it was about us being on orange. That said, the discussion of orange as a whole was pretty minimal until you shifted it into focus. We were talking about DEIC and Diabolos for the most part (and honestly I would prefer to stay on that topic. And DEIC has disavowed Diabolos, so I'm sure they don't support his actions. If anything it's just Diabolos choosing a "fun" target for just this reason. The declarations of war simply said "Leave orange sphere!", and no contact was attempted at any time for negotiations. No,. the action he did recently didn't encourage/approved by DEIC, I think he need to take the responsibility himself. just as he did to guardians. Pax Posted January 21, 2015 Author Share Posted January 21, 2015 (edited) I suppose I should make a clarification since at this point it looks more like Diabolos has just been acting like a tool and is uninvolved from DEIC. We could very well be wrong in this matter. When I made this thread, I was entirely unaware of the fact that Diabolos had been going on a massive downward spiral and that DEIC had already renounced attachment to him prior to this. The context we had and the history of threats against us made things seem to point directly towards them, but there is already mounting proof of the opposite and I will not just plug my ears and ignore that proof.If we are proven wrong, I'm not going to whine about that. I would in fact prefer to find out that a major alliance isn't taking hostile actions against us (shocker ), and I will apologize to DEIC for the misunderstanding. I have been wrong before, and I will be wrong again at some time in the future. Tomorrow when I have free time, I will try and talk to DEIC. To slander other alliances is really quite saddening for me, I am ashamed to have any interaction at all with you for this disgraceful behavior you have shown today towards SK and DEIC and everyone else who read this thread. My alliance "The Reaper" has plans to move to orange obviously, if we're to do so then we need do it without upsetting the balance currently on orange. Orange alliances as fine with the current 5%, if we move there then we want it to stay at that amount. As I say Pax, I'm really disappointed in your ignorant behavior. There is in fact an in-game messaging system other than the "war reason" box, and other people will dislike you when you continually provoke them.I have no issues with SK, and as I said will most likely apologize publicly to DEIC since it doesn't look like you are involved with them. In the PM in which I contacted you. And when you're the one declaring wars on another alliance's members, you may want to consider contacting them instead of the other way around. Call it courtesy, foresight, or responsibility - it's still a pretty important thing that they actually know why the member is being attacked. If a member of our alliance is attacked, and we're never given an explanation as to why, we are not going to be happy about it and we are going to want to stop them from being attacked. You can't just put off all responsibility to others. Saying "you needed to contact me" when you made no attempts to do the same is hypocritical to say the least. At least when I say that I would like to be contacted, I actually spent lots of time sitting in your IRC channels and PM'd you. And off of that topic, if you sincerely think that me telling you "No, you should not attack our member" when I haven't been given a context is reason enough for you to declare more wars, I really can't even begin to understand your thought process. The situation with Guardian was different as the gov recognized that the attacks were unsanctioned. This was not the case with DHE which is now treating these attacks as a "DEIC aggression". I think this definitely warrants another statement from DEIC who is now being accused of hostile acts. A pretty grave accusation in my opinion. I'm amused you seem to think DHE is the first alliance to accuse us of aggression. Anyway to respond to this, I can say that we had absolutely nothing to do with this. Diabolos is no longer a member of our alliance, and his actions and opinions are entirely his own, not that of The Dutch East India Company. We had neither forewarning of nor involvement in his attack upon DHE, we had no intention of using him to force DHE from orange. I hope that both our alliances can move past this unfortunate incident, and look forward to talking with Pax in the coming days regarding future cooperation on the orange sphere and beyond. DHE treating the attacks as DEIC aggression and would be insanely stupid to do so since I am no longer a member and started my own alliance with our own goals.
